Thank you again Joanie. The way you explain things just make sense. Just the right amount of detail with a common sense approach. Thank you.

Very interesting. However, something else that also interested me was the rig that attaches your camera to the stand at the 2 min 49 seconds time. I've tried different set-ups in the past for overhead photography but none of them have been 100% satisfactory. Could you tell me what you are using?
    Love your channel BTW.

Thanks Joanie - can these DSLR cameras also film food video Reels like an iPhone would ? ❤

Hi Joanie, thank you for this video! I'm a photographer and I do food, product and portrait photography indoors and outdoors. I have my old Canon T3i with the lens kit and a 50mm 1.8 Canon lens. I would like to upgrade (Canon, of course) to a new camera or a new lens. What would you recommend?

Thank you Joanie. I've been looking at cameras to buy and someone told me to get the zv-E10

I would think that the Canon R8 would be hard to beat for food photography (as well as many other areas) unless you want dual memory slots or IBIS, then the R6m2 would be the way to go. I feel that the wider field of view available on a FF body is much to be desired over a crop sensor. That said, I consider the R50 (with the R10 running a close second) to be the best overall entry level camera given the price point for novices to learn about mirrorless photography before deciding if they want to step up. And for serious photographers who are ready to justify the high end gear then either the Canon R7 or R6m2 are very hard to beat depending on whether you want a crop or full frame sensor. The two bodies are almost identical in features and performance. And yes, I shoot Canon. :)

Wow. I wish I saw this earlier. It would have saved me a lot of money. It took me years but I finally got the point in my head that I should stick to one camera brand. It took me a while to figure out what I really needed. I still get that occasional the grass may be greener elsewhere then I tell myself nah been there and done that.

ChatGPT can be an amazing tool, but it really shines when you give it a specific prompt and include as much information as possible, and then converse with it to help it meet your distinct needs. Like for a recent photo shoot I asked it about lighting setups given the gear I had and the type of food I was photographing, and then followed up about tips on specific dishes, techniques I can use to bring out specular highlights, etc. You can even follow up and ask it about the best angles and what props would work particularly well given the dish and its colors. I also strongly urge using chatGPT 4, it's significantly better than 3 in my experience.

I understand what you are saying but does this particular business model even make sense given that there is 1. AI 2.everyone has a camera and that you can use ai to basically edit photos from a text?

I disagree. The sony a74 can only shoot about 6 fps in uncompressed raw. So i wouldn't use it for action photography or sports. And the sony a1 is a high megapixel camera which is okay but not the best sony if video is your thing.
