So i just pick up the game and beat it on the same day but with pure POWA not skill, see thr are wands with use conditions right… and the is one that use condition is just to move right… and thr is a spell that dashes you and makes you invincible…. Amd if you get orbit on-top of that the thing move very fast with minimal effort on your part, just grab anything that increases duration, and i have found a way to not take dmg ever and perfect the final bods on normal mode first try but not even know what that boss does

Noita is one of my favorite games. The spell-wand mechanic is one of my favorites in all my years of gaming, and is a most welcome sight to see in other games.

Ohh, this is so good and I was hoping Aavak covered it!
I too would have dived deeply into this, if it wasn't for 1 game breaking bug, that's now resolved.
I simply couldn't enter one of the tower level doors, but after an update it was fixed.
The Tri color staff, with the alternating colors, changes effects on the spells on a loop.
So you get effects like slow, freeze and fire I believe on any spell that can add those effects without having the spell effect stones like poison.
This deserves more coverage, such a great game!

That's funny, the intro is very nearly the same as Unepic: A nerd playing a game, going to the bathroom, the lights go off and he finds himself in another world, and then subsequently gets possessed by a local spirit. That can't be a coincidence.
Please do 1-2 more full runs.

Man that first poison combo reminded me of all the electricity combos you could do in noita, and how they'd immediately end your run by entering into any sort of water pool, or metal. Soo many runs ended....

My dream game is a life sim where you can build a farm and chill, but the resource grinding system is dungeon based like this.

It also reminds me of Undermine, if you know that one. the artstyle any enemy design, and also the curses remind me a lot of that.

I don't know why, but for whatever reason I find it very amusing that on the home screen menu the option for Settings is "Setting", singular. There is only one Setting. Would you like to enable it?
Unless it means the setting of the story, but I have my doubts about that.
29:57 that was a huge mistake. You should combine everything before rerolling since upgraded spells remain upgraded after a reroll.

Yeah, this feels like Hades with a Binding of Issac aesthetic. (Don't know much about Noita, though - I've heard of it, but never played it.)

i would say the main mechanic of noita is that everything is in particles and reacts with everything. But yeah they got spellrods as well
I'd argue that the particle-ness of the landscape is less the main mechanic, because by and large, you only see that part of the game by interacting with it using spells. In the same way you would be right to say the world is made of atoms, but it would be a stretch to say the main mechanic of human existence is atoms. Yes, they make us up, but they're not the primary thing we do (or even think about, day to day)

First 5 minutes and seeing the isekai twist, I got instantly reminded of Re:Zero's first episode. Not sure whether I'd like it more if they do the same thing and make the protagonist go through hell, or actually make his protagonist status carry his ass.

Played the demo, not gonna lie, really fun. Though i am not keen on the dialogue style (the whole i am a protagonist and cockiness, idk), but gameplay is fun.
Note: when trying the demo, at the end try kill "it".

The parasites (as its name suggests) seems to be doing more harm than good.
Over a thousand hours in Isaac...not sure if that is a brag or a cry for help.
looks fun to play, but I'd like them to replace the sound effects as they don't sound appropriate when the game looks (and hopefully plays) good
to being honest i kinda dislike isaac and it first pushed me a little bit away, but after seeing this now, i possibly can't hold my hands off of this game anymore xD
i like noita to much and while i dislike the art style of hades, the concept of meta progress is in my opinion amongst the top 5 progression systems in games that i known by this day

This looked fun so i gave it a try, but i think its gonna need a couple more months in the oven before i'd recommend it. The variety is not quite there and its far too easy to fill the entire screen with visual effects or attacks :P
