I played basketball for 15 years that was not a play
Well we didn’t say it was a play.
It was a cheap shot. It was in retaliation for what happened earlier. It was called a foul, then upgraded to a "flagrant one." Not sure what the controversy is beyond that.

I wouldn't call it "victim blaming." Clark elbowed Carter in the face and taunted her. Carter took a cheap shot on Clark in retaliation. It was called. It was then elevated to a "flagrant" foul. That should be the end of it. Don't really get the ongoing drama around it.

That's the rub with this. They assume this only happens with women in sports. The only difference is no one feels sensitive about a blanket statement calling men in other sports jealous of a star player, but it absolutely happens.
