Travis Pastrana Freestyle Motocross at the AMSoil Sandbox Arena New Richmond, Wisconsin. TP199 was pinging on the two stroke Suzuki RM 250. LPmotocross.com www.LPmotocross...
Travis is a class act, always has been and always will be. The children bickering in this comment section need to grow the hell up. Ride whatever you want. That is why we have so many different kinds of bikes.
Travis's bikes are tuned on the strongest, you can just hear the motor roars like theres no tomorrow. Aaand he can handle 'em like noone else on this planet. I reckon there only one borns like him in every thousand years. Freakin extraterrestrial 😂
People keep saying Jett Lawrence is such a smooth rider. Then we go back to Pastrana blitzing everything on one wheel and doing tricks and casually doing it all at race speeds.
Glad he turned out the way he did. For the short time he raced 125 b, I needed a full lap head start. He was 13 and I was 26; kid is talented beyond my comprehension.
@lpmultimedia I'd agree 100%, the suspension valve kit the pros run cost's $60,000, a buddy of mine got a hold of the next best thing and supposedly only pros are eligible to buy it, it's worth $6,000. Pro-circuit was pissed when he called and asked them about rebuilding some bushings.
@nogooddisplayname I read this in an article talking about the cost of factory racing, I'm not sure which magazine wrote it but it's a 2011 issue. The "B-kit" which is $6000 is coated in titanium nitride, there is a carbon coating that is better but I'm not sure what the pros use on "factory" suspension. They typically don't even use the stock shock or forks so I'd imagine for $60,000 you get it all plus a free sticker.
you know when he used to ride, he was actually known for his skill in the whoops, he was the number 1 at it joined by davi millsaps who took over his place when he retired, and i think millsaps will continue to be the fastest at whoops until he retires joined by james stewart. btw what i said about pastrana is not my opinion, its a fact.
Its amazing his knowledge of the bikes feel as if he was one with it. And whats even more crazy, is he may not be the fastest whoop rider ever. In fact I would guess he maybe 5th or 6th if that. The good one are that good.
I think they fully stopped on the 125/250s in 2011, but they stopped mass producing them in 2008, i know that. i'll just stick to getting a brand new KTM 250SX because they are actually up to date
That's not why they stopped main line production of two strokes. Yamaha, KTM, Husky, etc. still produce two stoke motocross bikes. You don't have to "special order" them. Main reason main line production of two strokes in most makes is because of four stroke engines.
i dont know about at this present time but i can tell you james stewart dont use factory suspension doug harvey of DHR suspension does all of the stewarts work
But I will say this I had a brand new 97 KX 250 two stroke and my friend sent it to a guys who builds factory race bikes holy shit was it so much faster than before, like twice the power and like a light switch it was an unbelievable change to have to get used to I just took it for a lap and I was so out of sync I think Tom Morgan did the motor wow it was amazing.piece wheeling whoops is actually a lot of fun and easier than u might think,ur rear linkage gets increased the higher u keep the front wheel so u just get the power on and dance the back tire from one whoop to the other,it takes practice and it cool but it not really that hard it kinda in the middle of a wheely and a power wheely, wheely I'm not kidding, its wheely easy...
@etmoto75 doesnt matter dude the back suspension is all adjusting the rebound the compression and the high speed sompression dosnt matter and as for the front ones is like 130 for new softer springs
I really hate how I watch a great video and then look down to see a bunch of idiots arguing over stupid stuff. Yes, you can do that on a stock bike with stock suspension. Please end it here and talk about the video. The video was awesome! As well as TP. He's definitely my hero. You all can watch my favorite rider, Trey Canard do the same thing. Search: "Trey Canard riding at new house" and watch from 2:32 to 3:00. It's somewhere in there.
That's funny I raced them for years in GNCC's and never had one destroy itself and I ran 50:1 premix in good gasoline... But there again I haven't had many problems from any of the bikes I owned over the years and I wasn't easy on them either!!!
@etmoto75 like multimedia said, that not a factory bike. and while you are right about the factory bikes having trick parts you obviously have never ridden with any pro riders. things that you or I might look at and say, you can't ride over that or that can't be done on a motorcycle, they can do it. Paul whibley jumped over an entire log section on my friends EX track, i had never even thought it woulg be possible. i know this coment is old, but just saying
that was awsome but that etmoto75 guy doesnt know what hes talking about. i wheelie the whoops at my local track all the time and i got a 2007 crf250r full stock
@BlakeLinebarger yeah dude do it, you'll go pro instantly it that simple. its only $30,000 you can make more haha naa thats persistance, practice and perfection!
i do that all the time, on mad skills motocross.
I'll race you
@@paintbrush8743 ill race you

Travis is a good boy. I'm happy for him and what he has accomplished.
i love how he starts his whip in the middle of the air. he is just like. im gonna do a whip after i take off.
the amount of skill it takes to be good at moto is incredible...
Travis's bikes are tuned on the strongest, you can just hear the motor roars like theres no tomorrow. Aaand he can handle 'em like noone else on this planet. I reckon there only one borns like him in every thousand years. Freakin extraterrestrial 😂
This is what he was born to do....
199 go travis !
that 2 stroke sounds beeeeeaaaaaauuutiful!!! :)
Thats what you call true talent! 👍🏽
That is his calling in life born to ride mx
People keep saying Jett Lawrence is such a smooth rider. Then we go back to Pastrana blitzing everything on one wheel and doing tricks and casually doing it all at race speeds.
Love 2 strokes !
Legend
he makes it look so easy. haha. go TP!!
haha no one can do what he does, hes so freakin amazing
How the hell do you land a jump into a perfect wheelie then continue it off the next jump? The man is godlike. And jmb145 that's definitely an RM250.
Doing it on an old 2 stroke is even more impressive.
smoothly done as always
Glad he turned out the way he did. For the short time he raced 125 b, I needed a full lap head start. He was 13 and I was 26; kid is talented beyond my comprehension.
TRAVIS is a BOSS!
@lpmultimedia I'd agree 100%, the suspension valve kit the pros run cost's $60,000, a buddy of mine got a hold of the next best thing and supposedly only pros are eligible to buy it, it's worth $6,000. Pro-circuit was pissed when he called and asked them about rebuilding some bushings.
suzukis are the best brand of bike ever
THAT is fucking insane control on a 2 STROKE!!! jesus
Such insane talent
are fucking joking me! thats awesome
Damn I miss watchin this dude race...
@lpmultimedia They gave the bike away to a lucky fan. I don't think they'd give away a "factory" bike. I could be wrong though. Just my .02!
@nogooddisplayname

omg at 0:5 lol i watched that a hundred times and still laughed
Tried that in a dream once. Woke up with a broken Arm.
His rear shock hates him lol
He did win the 125 east title. But it was when they was all on 2 smokers. Shortly after though he went on to Freestyle
Man its all the bike u hear the power that bad boy has ,not just kidding Travis...
Yamaha, KTM, Husqvarna, and TM all still make 2 stroke motocross bikes.
love pastrana
you know when he used to ride, he was actually known for his skill in the whoops, he was the number 1 at it joined by davi millsaps who took over his place when he retired, and i think millsaps will continue to be the fastest at whoops until he retires joined by james stewart. btw what i said about pastrana is not my opinion, its a fact.
Travs the man
He did, he just didn't record it. He made it over a side of the jump.
Its amazing his knowledge of the bikes feel as if he was one with it. And whats even more crazy, is he may not be the fastest whoop rider ever. In fact I would guess he maybe 5th or 6th if that. The good one are that good.
Best sound ever.
At the sandbox arena in Wisconsin
It's ALL about the rider
RM 125 he likes to ride most the time
he has now decided to focus more on NASCAR racing
I ride Suzuki, hands down the best brand of bike I've ever ridden. and he got 12 likes and you didn't.
TP is a god on wheels!!!
I think they fully stopped on the 125/250s in 2011, but they stopped mass producing them in 2008, i know that.
i'll just stick to getting a brand new KTM 250SX because they are actually up to date
@etmoto75 any motocross bike with any suspension can do it,Travis has insane skills
Watch the movie 199 lives. It's a documentary on Travis Pastrana. You will get a lot of answers.
@etmoto75 factory bike are better than regular, but that doesn't mean that they do mericules
the only time I hear that sound anymore is from a chainsaw
DAMN!
mARTY ROCKS A 2 stroke 250 cc CHAINSAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah and what a shame that is.
OMG This nigga did a jump and landed on a wheelie!! Insane!! ONLY Travis can do something like that!!!
nice and smooth. unless you people commenting are pro...there is no way you can do this on purpose..
That's not why they stopped main line production of two strokes. Yamaha, KTM, Husky, etc. still produce two stoke motocross bikes. You don't have to "special order" them. Main reason main line production of two strokes in most makes is because of four stroke engines.
Sounds like a 500 2-stroke grunting through those whoops.
i dont know about at this present time but i can tell you james stewart dont use factory suspension doug harvey of DHR suspension does all of the stewarts work
But I will say this I had a brand new 97 KX 250 two stroke and my friend sent it to a guys who builds factory race bikes holy shit was it so much faster than before, like twice the power and like a light switch it was an unbelievable change to have to get used to I just took it for a lap and I was so out of sync I think Tom Morgan did the motor wow it was amazing.piece wheeling whoops is actually a lot of fun and easier than u might think,ur rear linkage gets increased the higher u keep the front wheel so u just get the power on and dance the back tire from one whoop to the other,it takes practice and it cool but it not really that hard it kinda in the middle of a wheely and a power wheely, wheely I'm not kidding, its wheely easy...
Ive only seen that done on Mad Skills
@etmoto75 doesnt matter dude the back suspension is all adjusting the rebound the compression and the high speed sompression dosnt matter and as for the front ones is like 130 for new softer springs

@etmoto75 it wouldn't be stock ill tell you that, it'll be set up to his weight and ability. might need heavier springs in them with different valving
@TheGambinoKid welcome to the show or ladies and gentlemen by saliva
@etmoto75 like multimedia said, that not a factory bike. and while you are right about the factory bikes having trick parts you obviously have never ridden with any pro riders.
