Great advice man , They can take off uncontrollable on you before you even realize it Especially when people go from a riding lawn mower to a zero turn .
Thanks, I actually use your Technic was watching or video. I have one hill and amost hit the fence. Lucky, I have a stand on and jumped of and had to to manuel brake to stop the sliding. I now go down by backing down. Thanks.
exactly how I do it I have 30 canal houses with sea walls I actually spun tires on my first turn slid back went back tired off the sea wall and got stuck on the frame thank God scared the crap out of me . cape coral fl has 400 miles of canals so we do that all day long good advice might save a life

My banks are steeper than what you are on. I cut using the pattern as you do. But I tend to leave skid marks at times when trying to track straight. And most every time at the end of a run, when turning up the hill. Even on dry grass! Any suggestions?
That will work. Most of the bigger hills by me cannot be cut with riding mowers of any kind. Unless you have a Ventrac with the double wheel setup. Thanks for sharing.
+Mario Saenz Landscaping Services totally agree with you. that's one of the drawbacks of sit down ZTRs. The operator can't bail out easily when he gets in trouble. walk behinds and stand on mowers allow you to jump off if things get sketchy.
Well done! Always reverse down the slopes. Going forward will make you slide and at my job, we have waters at the bottom of the slopes that are infested with alligators!
@@mariosaenzlandscapingservi6786 - I learned my lesson after I slid about 30 feet down the slope and stopped about 8 feet shy of the alligator pit. Scared the hell out of me!
Has anyone added liquid to there rear tires and/or weld 50#"s of weight to front of mower so it doesn't pop wheelies when going up a hill? I live in West Virginia & we have crazy steep mountains & hills. Any input would be great! I have a Snapper Pro s75x 52 inch Thank you!
I'm basically saying by going in reverse your putting all the weight on the back tires to give you traction so you don't go in the lake. if you go front wheels forward all the traction will shift to the front tires so when you turn while your going down hill your mower will continue to go straight in to the lake
So I gave it a try (not at water, but my property has some pretty steep hills with sudden drop-offs) and you were dead right - this is most definitely the right way to approach those spots! Thanks a heap guys.
I go face first all the time, but i dont have a lake at the bottom of my hill its the neighbors yard, never the less my hill is too steep and long to be backing down.

We Always Have To Be Careful Not To Get In The Lake
Yes best to be safe
You asked me to share this awhile back. Is it still ok for me to use a part of this clip? I will be giving you credit for it.
please do. recently here in florida somebody died going front first down a hill into the lake. thank you

yes, if it's a steeper hill use a walk behind beltdrive not hydro to avoid leaving skid marks or slipping
Good to know humbre
You Was Talking To Yourself Mario??

I understand. alot of landscapers here in Florida go down face first and end up drowning in the lake. unfortunately.

I Heard You Talking A Little Bit While You Mowing
I was but the mower was too loud
Yeah The Mower Was Loud
I still say it would be better and safer for a walk behind to mow steep hills.
Grasspro i agree

Weight in the front is good.
Yes, you can put multiple cinder blocks strapped together or buy the factory front weight kit for your mower.
Wow !!! Any problem since you have it sen'or .and thank q for reply ,but your engine look like Koehler .mine brigg & straton 23 Horse. Gracias mucho .
Henry Tauch no issues great motor
only hear the mower. Maybe run an edited version with voice-over after the fact please. I just purchased a ZTR and learning the slopes is challenging.

Can't hear a word you're saying but I honestly can't see myself reversing directly at the water like that.
Matt Duggan I didn't think so either until I went face first right in the water. In reverse is best
So I gave it a try (not at water, but my property has some pretty steep hills with sudden drop-offs) and you were dead right - this is most definitely the right way to approach those spots! Thanks a heap guys.
Matt Duggan I'm glad I could help
How many hour your first transmission fluid change senor?
Henry Tauch i have 500 hours and havent changed it yet.
Henry Tauch i have 500 hours and havent changed it yet.
Mario Saenz Landscaping Services hay Dio mio verda senor?
Mario my Dixie chopper I have had it for five season now it has 155 hours the same battery
Awesome
what'd he say?
but where is the hill for demonstration?
Tylor Gross florida is flat so thsts the steepest i have
I go face first all the time, but i dont have a lake at the bottom of my hill its the neighbors yard, never the less my hill is too steep and long to be backing down.
Christian Smith if theres no lake you avoid danger but backwards is better.
That shit is not steep bruh i done steep where you cant turn you have to go at a angle and turn on top
Tru Gaming but its the steepest in my route. Next time pay a little more attention to the video. The concept is the same regardless
talk to urself much
