This is definitely one of their most impressive christmas arrangements. It was so much fun watching your reactions ! But if you want to hear the most insane arrangement of a christmas song ever, check out their version of Do You Hear What I Hear. Arranged by none other than Adam Rupp. Absolute genius.
Agree! Do you hear what I hear with its 5 octaves in 5 seconds is a must!
Couldn't agree more.
yes
I agree, Do You Hear What I Hear is awesome! I just saw them on Friday for the first time! The live version is just as awesome!
Yes - make sure it's the one in the ice castle in Minnesota!
If you can, please do Do You Hear What I Hear by Home Free...they have many wonderful Holiday songs, but...
Amazing harmonies in that one. Pretty please đ
Thanks as always for your awesome reaction!
Definitely check out Do You Hear What I Hear? Only rendition of this song I love!
Yes yes yes, ABSOLUTELY!!! Matt, you'll especially love it! Adam arrangement & it is KILLER!!!
đ„°
Heart full, ears happy, soul soaring. Thank you Home Free. This song now belongs to Home Free.
The bell tones are magic. The song shown in the outro is Full of Cheer. Worth a listen!!
This was the first song I heard of Home Free at Christmas 4 years agoâŠ..& was like an Instant Home Fry đ„°đ„âŒïžâïžâŠïž.
They released a new video yesterdayâŠâMARY DID YOU KNOWââŠ.. it is pure AWESOMENESS đ„°đ„âŒïžâŠïžđ. Please do it, it gives me chills each time I hear it đ„âŒïžđ„âïžâïž
LOLOLOLâŠyes, Austin clean shaven looks like a 12 year old. But, WOWâŠâŠ.he can SAANG đ„°đ„âŒïžđ„ He wrote the song they didâŠâWARMEST WINTERââŠ. In memory of his Nani, of whom he was real close.â€ïžđ„âŒïž
The setting is a cathedral in Minnesota, itâs part of a conventâŠ.just beautiful âŠïžđâŒïž
that snippet is Full of Cheer It is an original by Tim
I have 2 requests⊠âDo You Hear What I Hear ââŠ.Adam Rupp arrangement. Never much cared for the song until I heard this rendition. Next is HF at the Hosanna concert 2013 singing their rendition of âJoy To the World â(that is in the video title). Itâs a jazzy, gospel arrangement with Rob singing leadâŠhe digs deep on this, and I canât hear it enough. Thereâs even a beatbox breakdown in it!
Hopefully they will do an official video of Joy to the World but in the meantime the live version is great. Rob slays it.
I love Joy to the World. It's so completely unexpected.
One of my favorite versions of this song by far. I used to sing it in choir and I remember my choir teacher telling us about the 'S' in angels. Another song that they recorded in that church I believe is Angels We Have Heard On High. I believe they filmed it in the same night. I can't remember if you reacted to "Do You Hear What I Hear?" but Adam arranged that version and by far my fave version of it. If you want to know if they make fun of Austin's attire......watch Guilty Pleasures.
If you loved this just wait till you experience "Do You Hear What I Hear" arranged by Adam Rupp !!!! My favorite Christmas Song, and that is saying ALOT, because they have some fabulous music. Thanks guys for reacting to this one, I think it was my second Home Free song, and I have listened to it many many times. Austins ending still gives me chills.
Full of Cheer is a sequel to Champaign Taste on a beer budget idt you have reacted to that yet. Please do both
Champaign Taste on a beer budget then
Full of Cheer
Love this song and love your reactions.
They did Champaign Taste on a Beer Budget I think during their last Live.
Coming sooner than you think!
Tim gives Austin a hard time about his skinny jeans "and they're still baggy"... it's a hoot.
Should check out Guilty Pleasures Derailed to see what I mean.
Adam's and Tim's Guilty Pleasure is hysterical.
I'd recommended a non-derailed version, since the derailed version misses the "2 things" punchline.
@@lrfcowper I think Iâve seen a detailed version with the â2 thingsâ about Austinâs attire
@@TheLadyDraconus Yes, the derailed version has the lead-ups to the punchline, but the final punchline is missing because that's where it derails. It's funny to watch the guys corpsing on stage, but I think the actual routine as intended is funnier.
@@lrfcowper You are absolutely right the derailed version misses RobÂŽs reaction when Tim says Austin can rap . I also recommend a non-derailed version
That church is for sure gorgeous and the singing is even better
A no brainer is "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" by Home Free, featuring the Oak Ridge Boys and Jeffery East. It's a live performance too, recorded last year.
Yes 1000 times yes!
yes! it also showcase Austin in gospel-mode!
Chris and Matt they also performed Angels We Have Heard On High in the same church right after they filmed this one
It's beautiful!
My favorite Christmas hymn, and favorite rendition of it. Sublime!
This is my all-time favorite HF Christmas song....I couldn't click on this quick enough! Thanks for this one! I've seen this sang live....it is breathtaking! They just released Mary Did You Know...it is awesome! The song at the end was Full Of Cheer....Tim wrote it....you guys will love it!
Grandma got run over by a reindeer by home free is a must watch. This is my favorite Christmas song ever.
The Austin nose scrunch!
Beautiful as ALWAYS from Home Free. Great reaction
want a fun one to watch, check out their cover of GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER, its so funny
So beautiful. They also sing Angels We Have Heard on High in the same church. Itâs beautiful too. I love their new one Mary Did You Know. Excellent reaction boys!
Your reaction was everything I wanted it to be. Thanks!!
THIS!!!! Stunning performance and it truly rocked my world at the end! Just beautiful.
They are truly amazing!
This was so beautiful. Thanks for pointing out the things that I also find are special about this song. The harmonies. Are so amazing. Full of Cheer is a funny one. You should react. Itâs kind of a sequal to Champagne Tastes on a Beer Budget which is also funny. Thanks
Thanks Ronny
I think the holidays have really allowed acapella groups to shine and show off their talents; great covers and arrangements, their creative fun sides, and even some of the original stuff. I will always be waiting to see if HomeFree surpasses my fav, âDo You Hear What I Hearâ.
I am so enjoying this. The perfect relaxation after work. Thanks guys!
So very beautifully done, seems to be a habit of theirs.đ
I love this and can listen to it every day of the year!!
Mary do you know, their latest is phenomenal!
Saw Home Free last night in Mobile and the show was awesome!! Did the UVIP thing, had front row seats and felt those bass notes and that beatboxing âdrop the bassâ all through the seat and my body! I agree with Sallieâs comment about reacting to âDo You Hear What I Hearâ! They performed it live last night and it was off the chain! Love the arrangement! So cool! Love your reaction and commentary to this video!
Straight No Chaser - 12 Days of Christmas.
Tim and Austin have performed a couple of songs with Straight No Chaser, (not this one).
I heartily second this! It's one of my favourite Christmas songs
Matt, this is Home Free. You have to be ready for anything and everything. Expect the unexpected. But your facial expression was hysterical!
HOME FREE w KENNY ROGERS, "Children Go Where I send Thee" :)
You always seem to have so much fun, and be informative too. Thanks!
Austinâs ex-girl friend is a stylist, and picks out all their outfits for video, stage, and appearances.
This was the very first that I saw Home Free. I was hooked!!! My girlfriend, who is from Mankato, Mn, said that this is the Catholic Church that she was brought in, in Mankato. (Home Free's birth place) we went to their concert New Year's eve at Jackpot Junction, close to Mankato. What a way to start the New Year! Celebrating with Home Free! We will be seeing them at Waite Park, MN this Sunday, at the New amphitheater there. Can you imagine what they'll sound like in there?
For the church, I think they mentioned the place was "School Sisters of Notre Dame" church. In one of Chris Rupp's video, he mentioned that they filmed 2 videos there "O Holy Night" and "Angels We Have Heard on High"
Also, Austin, as Tim always introduce him, is the eye candy of the group. Plus, he grew up singing Gospel songs.
This and Do You Hear What I Hear are my favorite Christmas songs by them.
Thanks for the great reaction! This is one of my favorite Christmas songs. I would like to recommend two songs, both co written by Austin Brown. First one is Cold Hard Cash (for Christmas), inspired by all the Christmas socks he gets from his fans. It is hilarious! The other one is Warmest Winter, written in memory of his Nani. Itâs a tearjerker, but very beautiful.
If you do another Christmas song by HomeFree I have two recommendations.
1) Silly song Grandma got run over by a reindeer
2) If you haven't listened yet a Time Foust original Snow Globe
Definitely 2 awesome ones!
And Austin original COLD HARD CASH
@@momD612
Yeah that is another fun one.
@@sjgavenger37 Adam is insane in that one! So good!!
To answer your question, "Two things, you're wearing skinny jeans" and the video Sunday Best .
I love this song! It is my favorite CHRISTMAS song. Followed by "MARY, DID YOU KNOW". HOMEFREE just released that and it is SPECTACULAR! PRAISE GOD!!! JESUS IS KING!!!
They knocked this one out of the park, and I love your honest reactions and appreciation for the vocal talents of all of the acapella groups, For your Christmas reactions I would highly recommend Pentatonix Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies for which they won a Grammy. It is very unique and I PROMISE you will love it!!
This is one of the first songs Tim ever arranged back when he was with Blue Jupiter in the early 2000s. He "dusted it off" and updated it for Home Free.
FYI, for a long time this was HF's most-viewed video because people threw a fit about Chris wearing a hat in a church. There's a video for another Christmas song that they filmed later where the first shot is Chris stopping at the door of the church and very intentionally removing his hat.
Also, I'm pretty sure How Great Thou Art was the first video they did with drone shots. This one was shot from a second floor balcony.
Thank y'all so much for reacting to this song. The guys are amazing. So many suggestions and they are all great, you can't go wrong with any of them. When you get a chance if you haven't already...Home Free/Texas Hill...Go Tell It on The Mountain. Amazing. It is a new one just before Mary Did You Know...the newest one. Thanks again. Oh and if you would like, there is...Tim Foust Tea Time With Elizabeth Zharoff...it is nearly 2 hours long, but you can do it in your spare time a little at a time. It is a lot of fun. Tim tells all about his beginnings to now...Not suggesting you do it as a reaction. Just for fun.
Awesome song ! đ” Great reaction ! đșđž Hangovergang đEnjoy your weekend đșđČ
Seriously guy's. Home free is the best out there. At least for me they are. Each and everyone of them have such powerful beautiful voices. I like Voiceplay and Pentatonix also. These guys just take the cake!!!! Love your guys reaction to this 1.
đđđđđđto hearts for you guys always fun to se your reaction, much hugs from Norway đ€¶đ€¶
austin isn't overdressed. He's well dressed. there is a HUGE difference. And just so you know...the lyric is actually "Angel Voices" not Angels voices...there is no s on angel. As per the original translation from the French into English in 1855.
Seeing them tomorrow night. Excited!
More Home Free. How about Cold Hard Cash.
Another great reaction, thank you!
Home Free just released Mary Did You Know? Pentatonix also has a version of the same. Both are Amazing. Would be a great twofer. Also gotta show some love to Do You Hear What I Hear?
#HOGFry
Full of Cheer is like a sequel to Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. Always enjoy watching your reactions to these guys.
Thanks so much and itâs on the way!
Let's Gooooooo!!! #HOGFry
Austin isnât overdressed, he looks great as always.đâ€ïžđ€
HF DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR. Please. The arrangement is so intricate and the video is brilliant. Trust me.
This is the first song I heard from Home Free last year. These guys are unique talents. The harmonies are so clean on point. And then the wonderful voices of each of the five. Thanks for the good reaction!
Full of cheer is definitely one worth listening to.
First time ever hearing "I got a booger" during a performance of this song. "Oh Holy Night" and boogers mix is priceless. ROFLMAO
my favorite version of my favorite Christmas song...I get teary eyed every time!! Great reaction!
"Oh night... when I get presents" ~Eric Cartman.
He has a perfect voice and a perfect face...
The video was filmed at School Sisters of Notre Dameâs Our Lady of Good Counsel Chapel in Mankato, Minnesota, where Home Free started. They have a Norte Dame location in Dallas.
Beautiful
This is how I discovered Home Free several years ago. I had never heard anything like it, and I was hooked!
You have to watch Grandma got run over by a reindeer if you have not yet done so. Love you guys you're awesome thanks for all the hard work and knowledge!
I absolutely love what you guys are doing with the 20 somedays of Christmas! I will be watching everyone too. I hit the like button before you did the 307 reacts snap yes I did! 915 miles to travel now what kind of journey is Chris venturing out on - Drive safe ! Great reaction I love both of you having choir & vocal experience and sharing that with us especially on Homefree ! Now waiting on Tom Macdonald Naked reaction canât wait ! đșđž
Sisters of Notre Dame at Good Counsel in Mankato, MN is where this was filmed
You must watch "" Do you hear what I hear " Adam arranged it, it's awesome. Also watch Full of cheer, it's brilliant and funny Love your reactions, I'm like that when I hear a new song. đ€đ€
Thank you! Home Free Christmas recommendations Do You Hear What I Hear, Chris Rupp: What Child is This, Timâs originals: Full of Cheer and Snow Globe.
Austin tickles me, because he just can't sing without winking or crinkling his nose.
Angels we have heard on High Home Free.
Love Home Free, love your reactions. I know you would really be amazed if you listen to Marcelito Pomoy sing The Prayer on the Wishbus. You wonât believe what you are hearing. No vocal training! He raised himself on the street from the age of seven. Incredible talent. Watch soon....you will be very glad you did. Please and thank you! đ
This was filmed in Mankato Minnesota at the Sisters of Notre Dame Church
Grandma got runover by a Reindeer by Home Free.
The song at the end.....
Home free
Cold hard cash
Full of cheer
Do them both, you'll get why when you do
The church is an old one in Mankato MN, it's the Our Lady of Good Counsel chapel. The Rupp brothers are from Mankato (my hometown too, crazy coincidence, but no, I never met them!), and back in those days a lot of the videos were filmed in the Mankato and Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St Paul) area. You guys gotta do Do You Hear What I Hear, it's not even a request, the Home Fries demand it!! Lol
They did a few Christmas songs with Peter Hollens that are awesome too! đ„°đ„đ€Ł
Shot in a cathedral in Mankato, MN. Planning on visiting it while there next week.
Home Free original Christmas song "Full of Cheers" and " Folsom Prison Blues" cover song by Johnny Cash.
I'd like to make a couple of Home Free recommendations; some of the group, some of the group members. What Child is This is by Chris Rupp feat. Home Free. It's the only time I know of that Chris and Chance performed together. There's Long Black Train by Chris Rupp ft. Tim Foust. Those two harmonize to great together. Of course I have to recommend the two tracks (so far) from Tim's doo wop album that have videos: Come Go With Me and Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. I'll end this with the song Austin dropped less than a week ago. He sure shows his musical theater roots with Bring Him Home from Les Miz. Austin has so many great videos out but I'll leave those for later and their own post of recomms.
Love you guys' reactions. Many thanks to you.
They always teased and call Austin the "Fancy one" because he likes to look good and takes time doing so more so than the other members. Also, this video was 7 years ago so maybe PTX took that page out of the Home Free book. Ya never know, acapella groups do learn from one another.
As always a great reaction. It seems Austin always has his belt buckle showing. He tucks the front of his shirts just behind it.
That song is called Full of Cheer and is very very entertaining.
The song you heard the snippet of was "Full of Cheer" the title track and a Tim Foust original Christmas song. It's a bit of a sequel to Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. Snow Globe is another Tim Foust original Christmas song you should hear.
They have also done a couple of Christmas songs/ church songs with Peter Hollens that are awesome
Guys, I love your reactions and commentary. Please react to Home Free and the Oak Ridge Boys singing Beautiful Star đ of Bethlehem. It's LIVE! An artist named Jeffery East also sings with the two groups. I'm just amazed at how 11 men who don't routinely sing / rehearse together can sound so damn good. I think it is just an incredible example of vocal talent and professionalism. Just wanting to hear some musically knowledgeable guys expert opinion on this particular performance. Thanks as always!
Full of Cheer is that song.
Written by Tim Foust
This was filmed at Sisters of Notre Dame in Mankato MN
"Do YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?"
" MARY DID YOU KNOW" Latest release!
Great reaction guy's! Thank you so much! Just saw them for 1st time last Sat. night 12-4 in Mobile Al! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!!!!
I don't think I've ever said this but it's a must for y'all to hear the above requests, please!???
From your South Georgia Home Free Home Fry to my Wyoming Home Fry's!
This may be my favorite version of all. Wow
By the way...that is Austins belt buckle under his vest!!
Yâall have to check out Geoff Castelluciâs god rest ye merry gentleman that he just dropped! Itâs beautiful almost haunting! Home Free just dropped Mary Did you know! Thatâs beautiful too! đ„°đ„ by the way Chris Rupp has posted part 1 of the history of home free on his channel. Adam and an another original member is in it. Tim Foust did an awesome interview this week on the Charismatic Voice channel. BTW she has also interviewed Geoff and Layne from Voice Play and Peter Hollens! Good interviews! đ„°đ„đ„°
You guys could be "The Mad Snappers" or even just "The Snappers".
I have another requestâŠâAngels We Have Heard On Highâ. Home Freeâs arrangement of it is stunning.
for King & Country Little Drummer Boy live from Phoenix is an amazing one that y'all should give a listen to. Joel and Luke Smallbone immigrated from Australia to Nashville when they were younger.
VoicePlay also did a wonderful version of this song featuring Rachel Potter, and honestly I can't decide which version I love more
Check out Do you hear what I hear, and the location is beautiful
