Chris Rupp came up with a list of butt songs, brought it to Layne of Voice Play who did the basic arrangement, then Chris and Adam tweaked it. This is a fun one to watch reactors do because it is so hilarious, but still musically just perfect.
When home free came out for the encore of my first live concert in December, a fry yelled “ do the butts remix!” I screamed YES, 🤣🤣🤣and started jumping up and down from home because Chris Rupp caused me to become a fry!
This is the song that made me realize that Home Free can sing any genre and make it great.
They had Honky tonk badonkadonk by Trace Adkins, Wiggle by Jason Derulo ft. Snoop Dogg, Fat Bottom Girls by Queen, Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot, Thong Song by Sisqo & Country Girl Shake It For Me by Luke Bryan in this medley......But are we not gonna talk about how Tim is just "going ham" on that ham sandwich❔❓🤣🤣🤣🤣

During the rap Adam is doing the DJ scratch so Tim is doing the beatboxing while harassing Rob 😆
Eric "Buegs" is one of Rob's good friends. His short overalls is a reference to Maddie & Tae's video called "Girl in a Country Song". Check it out--makes Buegs' antics here even funnier 🤣
Even funnier is those are the same overalls Tim wore in Champagne Taste.
Adam & Chris Rupp's sister had been involved with a modeling agency and recruited the women in the video from that agency; however, since Home Free didn't want to objectify the women, the only 'butts' are those of Home Free. Austin Brown choreographed the line dance. The man in the one-shoulder cut-off overalls is a friend of Rob Lundquist's who's also in some other Home Free videos.
I would like add my appreciation for the ridiculously brilliant arrangement. The song starts with the bass line from Baby Got Back, which stays as the bed for the first verse of Honkytonk Badonkadonk, when they add in the chorus from Wiggle Wiggle in *counterpoint*. That much sass should be ILLEGAL. Also, their Queen segment was straight professional. That harmony!
This is one of my favorites from Home Free, but I was surprised when when I found out this song was actually arranged by Layne from Voice Play.
This is such a fun mashup of songs. Very cleverly done from one song to another. The talent these guys have is phenomenal. They have so much fun but the vocals never suffer. And Adam's beatboxing is on another level. Home Free was very respectful in this video about not offending any women.
This was awesome. The first song wasn't Toby, it was Trace Atkins. You two need to check out Home Free Quilty Pleasures and Home Free Helplessly Hoping live. I know you've seen the official music video, but the live version is them singing without mics.

the official music video is great but when they perform it live it gets better. There are videos on here of them singing this live I suggest watching at least on your own time.
Chris Rupp on his channel did a reaction to Butts that described how the Medley came to happen and how the filming went.
If you haven't yet, you should absolutelly react to their "Country frihed pop medley". A real treat, on every scale.

If you think Austin's hilarious in this one, you HAVE to see him in their cover of Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up!' His whole vibe in that is "Oh, you wanna see Camp 'Eighties? I'm-a give you more Camp Eighties than you can handle!" Tim also has some impressive 'eighties dance moves, and of course they smash it vocally too so it's well worth checking out.
There is one of Tim’s movements that rarely gets any mention, and that’s his head banging at the beginning of “Fat Bottom Girl”. As a fan of Rock music, I always appreciate that! I loved your reactions! Yes! There was a whole lot of stuff going on in it, but it’s awesome! The guys have a new video being released tomorrow and it’s a heart melter, but in a really good way! It’s a cover, just so you know.
I have seen this video at least 50 times, and I never noticed this until you and another commenter mentioned it here.

one thing I didn't really notice but if you go back and watch it you will, on Chris rupp's Channel he was talking about making this video and he said they got some models to come in and they were completely 100% disinterested in anything the guys were doing. until they started line dancing. if you watch the video you can see them in the background just looking bored out of their minds. and as long as I'm here you have to give props to Rob. he's definitely got the feel for the Sir Mix-a-Lot stuff.

You missed Tim eating the ham sandwich in the last scene if that song. And he was head banging in the last one. The gut in the cut offs is Beuges. The overalls are the same ones Tim wore in Champaign Taste on a Beer Budget. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

They shot three videos that day. If you notice during Honky Tonk Bedonkey, Chris Rupp is behind Tim some of the time and gone then back. He left to go get lunch, including the sandwich, Which Tim decided to eat.

The one in the cowboy hat is beatboxer Adam Rupp's brother Chris Rupp, and doing this medley was his idea initially. For the arrangement, he collaborated with brother Adam, and with Layne Stein, Voiceplay's beatboxer. Chris put up a great behind-the-music video about this, with lots of fun details, on his channel, called "Butts Medley by Home Free (Chris Rupp - REACTION & CRITIQUE)."

This one is so funny. They use their girl friends , friends . You will absolutely love it.
This really is so hilarious! I've seen it so many times but every time I see something new. Anyway, it always cheers me up. Everyone is very nice and humorous. And still great rapping from Rob. And we hardly need to report on Adam anymore because we know by now that he is the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist.
Fat Bottom Girl is by Queen, and EVERYONE should watch their live performance of it. Did you notice that there were no female butts in the video at all? This was one of their "fun" videos, you need to check out some of their more serious stuff where they really show off their voices. I would recommend "End of the Road", "When a Man Loves a Woman", or gospel with "How Great Thou Art".
Out of all the reactions I have watched of this video....EVERYONE misses the fact that Tim is eating the ham sandwich!

Home Free is the most versatile acapella band out there. These guys are just my favorite. They have fun with these songs. Then they have the serious songs that will blow your mind. Talking about Home Free's arrangements and the transitions from one song to the next in their mashups/medleys, you'll love their Country fried pop medley, if you haven't already. It was arranged by Austin and it's amazing! It was also when Chris Rupp was still in the band.

That was Chris doing the bass because Tim was singing lead and Adam taught him to do the drum beat so he could do the scratching when they do this live. They have a brand new one coming out at 1 pm
In live performances Chris certainly would sing the bass line when Tim sang lead but in recordings Tim sang both lead and bass. As Chris said in an interview (I think it was with reactor QoFy) if you have a bass as good as Tim why wouldn't you use him.

When I discovered HF I just started from the beginning. so fun to watch the growth over time
Chris Rupp is doing the baseline in the beginning when Tim was singing the lead. Chris also switched to the baseline when Rob was singing part of "Baby Got Back" (when Tim is in Rob's ear in the video) because Tim took over beatboxing so Adam could get ready for his "scratching" part.

Chris Rupp Adam's brother, did the arrangements for this cover! He has made a video on the production on this it's good, he said they were laughing so hard at stuff, and they really only showed their butts because it was not their mission to objective women!
