    I think that’s pretty crazy for $2035 dollars. Titanium for that price is competitive as hell. Looking at a Doxa sub 300 professional that’s 400 dollars more and it’s stainless steel with the same movement

    Fantastic! We’re looking to add Squale into our lineup.
    I think squale “fixed” the butterfly clasps of late which is a wise move.

    One of the '24 releases that's got me quite excited! I think Squale make great watches that offer superb value. My 50 Atmos sits well happy in my dive watch collection alongside 'Dwellers, Subs, Marinemasters etc. I think they've really nailed an unusual design here and seemingly dealt with the only criticism I've levelled at Squale (and Sinn) - weak lume. So much more unusual than recent Tudor, Longines or Seiko. Cool. And the comfort of that crown design is really impressive.

    I'll keep my SBBN025. You can't beat the look (and the build) of a 1000m Tuna. On second thought, perhaps the epic Promaster BN7020-09E has done just that.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Před 5 měsíci +1

      The SBBN025 is a great watch but I'd say the Squale is far more comfortable and many people prefer an automatic. I had the original Draft Tuna SBBN013 and a old School SBBN007 300m Tuna and ended up selling the 13 and I found the 007 more comfortable on the wrist

    Overall one of the better looking dive watches this year,love the sandwich indices style with this brushing.Also having the fact of Grade 5 is surely a winner.Though the thickness is chunky and that reflections outside with blue hue for me are also a big downside,sometimes a flat crystal could be a better pick.A butterfly clasp on a tool watch that size isnt great either.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Fully agree with the clasp its the wrong choice for a tool watch

  • @robertlock6041

    Hi Barry, this is indeed a cool watch, although I'd still prefer a U2 or U50. Sinn demonstrates that a properly designed dive watch doesn't need a helium valve...
    I can vouch for Rowland: he is indeed really helpful.
    Have you pressure tested the Squale? I remember the comments from the previous Squale test...
    To put the depth rating into context though, the deepest part of the Channel between Dover and Calais is 55m, so a 200m depth rating would still allow you to walk on the sea bed from England to France (with suitable gear, of course)... Have a good weekend m8, LG Bob 🍻

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Před 5 měsíci +1

      No I haven't, I can only test down to 110m but I could. I had no idea its only 55m I would of thought its was 200+ ps I would still go for a Sinn U50 ;)

    It's funny you call out the butterfly clasp on a divers watch because I'm wearing a Farer Aquamatic right now which has a jubilee bracelet with a butterfly clasp.
    I think Farer gets away with it because they include the bracelet and two color matched straps with every watch, cool of Squale to include a decent rubber strap too for people who really need the adjust-ability for diving. I just want to time the occasional swim, so I don't need extra adjustment or a dive link personally ( I don't even own a wetsuit).

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi James the only reason I mentioned it, its because a butterfly clasp isn't as secure as a fold over type with a flip lock, this is why you normally see them on tool watches, dress watches are most commonly known for having butterfly clasp PS the Farer Aquamatic is a cool watch

    • @neutronalchemist3241
      @neutronalchemist3241 Před 4 měsíci

      @@ClickSpringReview It doesn't exist a dive bracelet.
      A bracelet is something you put on a dive watch to turn it into a dress watch.
      "Dive clasps" and "dive extensions" are only trinkets.
      All the few watches still used for diving by some nostalgic, and all the dive computers that replaced them, are secured with straps.
      If you really want to dive with that watch, use the rubber strap that's included in the package.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Před 4 měsíci

      @@neutronalchemist3241 To be fair dress watches have leather straps generally , I do agree if your using scuba gear one want a computer thats a given. The hole point of the flip lock bracelet design was for diving the butterfly clasp never was. If you wanted to go diving with it you would have to swap it over to the rubber strap for sure

    Very fair and comprehensive review as usual. I’m a lover of unusual and ugly (to some) watches, but I’m not sure about the actual design of the case, the dial, the bracelet or that bizarre flesh colour of the lume when not fluorescing. Lucky it’s water resistant enough to survive being exposed in a British garden though. 😊

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Před 5 měsíci +1

      It may of been better with white lume and I think if they wanted to make it more premium looking, polished hour makers and hands would of helped, 1.2km is maybe pushing it as its has been pretty wet of late 😁
