    If you've been sensible enough to buy the inverted FAT BIKE fork from Wren then you'll know how awesome they are!
    BUT you might not know how to set them up for the first time and so here's my suggestion with a little help from a real expert called Graham Foot from www.smokestone... and slam69.co.uk/
    The set up for forks is an incredibly individual thing but i give you what i think is a really good starting point.
    One of the terrific things about this FAT BIKE fork is that you can make adjustments with just a shock pump rather than having to put in or take out 'tokens' from the fork.
    If you're a Wren owner let me know how you set yours up.
    Ride safe,
    Richard .x

    I'm so happy you made this video. As per other videos I found, I set it up 30/30psi and it just didn't feel right. After watching this video, I set them up running 50psi in the upper and 10psi in the bottom and is rides great. Thanks

    WoW 🤩. Two legends in one video ✊. I don’t own the Wren fork’s but this was a truly informative, simple and effective tutorial for those who do. Brilliant video Richard 👍👊👊

    Thank you so much for the in depth walkthrough. Now I need to buy that pump. My travel has been restricted to a half inch. 😅

    I’ve the Wren trail fork at 150mm travel. Really enjoying it. I’ve got very little air in the lowers (about 8-10psi) as I very much enjoy the linear feel of the wren, very supple for natural trails. I dial up the compression slightly if I’m running bike park stuff or practicing jumps.

      That's interesting Gary. It's pretty much how i have it set up now and i think that it's just about perfect. Thanks so much for watching mate.

    Fat bike legends! Great video and just made me want to book a suspension tuning session when I am back on the saddle

    Good stuff! Bulls eye! Easier than peeps think. It's just a little counterintuitive to conventional forks using bands and tokens to adjust pre-load (which is a pain). I own 3 since 2016. Honestly, I wish I had a quick tutorial like this my first month rather than just blind trail and error. 😄 Quick trailside adjustment for extreme conditions if needed, but once dialed in, it's set-and-forget.🤙Also, easy to service compared Fox, RS and rest. 🍻

      Well said Tom ... i think that it's really interesting how different people set them up individually but now I've got mine how i like them I'm too lazy to change them - thanks so much for the comment mate 🤘😊😊

    Great video! I started riding fat bikes 2 years ago and I think that I am ready for a full suspension fat bike. I was going to buy the Ican because of your videos. How do you compare this bike to the Ican? Thank you!

    • @DickingAboutTV
      @DickingAboutTV  Před 2 lety +1

      hey Kenny. The Ican is GREAT but it only has 120mm of travel which wasn't enough for some of the riding i do. The Lenz has 150mm which allows me to go to trail centres etc BUT the Ican can do 95% of all riding and it's absolutely lovely to pedal! Other differences are that the Ican is more affordable and has a wider rear spacing .. the Ican is 197 and the Lenz is 177. If i was doing general trail riding an not jumps and drops I would get the Ican .. but with Wren forks as they are just great !!! I hope this helps mate. Thanks so much for watching.

    Has anyone found or crafted a fat bike fender that will fit the Wren fork?

    • @DickingAboutTV
      @DickingAboutTV  Před rokem +2

      Hey Michael, I just move any standard fender up to the top of the fork (fix under fork as it it was the bottom of arch on other forks).. that way I get the massive mud clearance as well. Hope that helps mate 👍

      @@DickingAboutTV Thanks for the suggestion. I just got the Mud Shovel 6.5 by Portland Design Works, and it works well with the Wren fork. Sure appreciate Graham's tips and directions about setting up the fork. You have one of the best videos I've found on the Wren set-up; thanks for posting it!!

      Hiya, thanks so much for the comment. It’s just a standard ‘shock pump’ from my local bike shop.. the Pro BIke Tool version is very good and about £25. All the best. Richard
