    Right when Joe Elliott says "Not too very long ago..." at the 3:35 mark, the camera pans across and that's me and my friends Jeff, Jamie, Annie and Conrad. 3rd row baby! I was 17 then and 51 now. Holy crap balls!

    RIP Steve Clark. He’s the guy that did the final solo in the end. He was Def Leppard. He contributed the most doing 90 percent of the song writing’s and guitar solos from when the band got together till he passed away 1991. Gone but never forgotten. We love you.

    I just watched a video from ABC News' segment on "Thunder God" Rick Allen on here. Rick talks about the accident that changed his life. Remember that Rick was 15 when he joined Def Leppard. In 1984, at 21, Rick wrecked his Corvette causing him losing his arm. Now, during the Pandemic, Def Leppard is on hiatus. Rick plays drums in his home. Something about Rick is a surprise for me - Rick Allen is an accomplished and talented artist.
    He sells his paintings and uses money to donate to Wounded Warriors Project after Rick visited Walter Reed's Hospital seeing soldiers with similar injuries as his injury. Rick has friends who are injured soldiers there.

    I was grounded for a month for getting into the back of an IROC Z Convertible, driving 2 hours away, scalping tix, & going to a Def Leppard concert in '87. It was worth every minute of it. Pretty sure I had a whole can of Aqua Net Hair Spray in my hair! Good Times! ❤🎵✌

    Def Leppard still puts on a great show.
    But back then...in their youth..in their heyday...and when they did these "in the round" concert tours, they were absolutely incredible. Had the good fortune to see them twice back then during the Hysteria and Adrenaline tours...still the 2 best shows I have ever seen live

      Joe Elliot said that all they ever wanted was to be a biggest band in the world.
      And during this tour, for a little while, they were.
      Still sounds epic!

    The great thing about this band, and it made recording easier...is that each musician can genuinely SING, making the harmonies super tight

    Yipes! So good. Just so damn professional. At the time none of us metal guys want anything to do with this unless you were going to the DL show to try and pick up girls... Because let's face it Def Leppard knew something the rest of us didn't... write a catchy song, play a solo that you can hum instead of a angry wasps sounding bunch of 64th notes all spilling everywhere... And guess what? You'll get some girls at your show. Who knew? I would imagine the six-packs didn't hurt either. Anyway, we were not having this stuff. But it was our loss because quite honestly these guys were awfully good. And listening to it with adult years, the arrangement and the placement of the harmonies suited each of the guys voices... Not to mention just the production itself for a live recording... So effing good man.

      I love this because it reminds me of one of my buddies from high school who back then was a hardcore Iron Maiden and I was the hardcore Def Leppard fan. He would make fun of DL saying it wasn’t real rock and stuff. But I caught up with him couple of years ago and he was telling how these days he listens to DL so much and actually likes them more than Iron Maiden. Side note: I didn’t really care for IM back then but love them now lol but DL will be always be my number 1.

    • @MARSHOMEWORLD
      @MARSHOMEWORLD Před 2 lety

      I think my problem with them back in the day wasn't so much the band itself as it was that they were all over everything that people considered metal at the time. And let's face it DL is not a heavy metal band by any stretch and so I always resented how much time they would spend playing their videos on The Headbangers ball when you could just see them in regular rotation all day long anyway. I was like please play some fucking Motorhead already enough with this stuff... trying to actually get to see anything I cared about on The Headbangers ball would have Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, etc etc and it was annoying as all those bands were Mainstays of regular rotation anyway. So well Def Leppard will never replace bands like Iron Maiden in my heart, I am all about respecting what they did now that I can listen to them with a clear head

    Mutt Lange (producer) was both a blessing and a curse for Def Leppard. Joe can't sing some of those notes now as they were really high even for Joe when he was young. But I guess in 100 years, those original albums will still hold up to the test of time!

      Bro, not enough people care or know Celtic Frost. Aren’t they a satanic band? I just remember hearing them in 1986 or ‘87 and they sounded satanic, if I’m not mistaken.

    • @MARSHOMEWORLD
      @MARSHOMEWORLD Před 2 lety +1

      @@nitro_001newman2 not really sure what to tannic is supposed to sound like but they were exceedingly dark and the first to incorporate orchestral music and Opera vocals into their metal. Stuff that bands like Nightwish and kamelot Etc have all copied over the years. Having been a massive influence on Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer... They are considered among the hugest influencial of all time for extreme metal music. And among people who are into the history of metal, people still care very very muc. Reaction channels are doing a wonderful job of exposing older music to new eyes and ears so I always try to request some old-school stuff just to keep the vibe alive. Cheers
