I feel like Rex has grown significantly since we were first introduced to her on the channel. I'd love to see a size and health update on her.
Yes! I thought it was my imagination
I forgot when they last did an update like that on her but I think it was before they got the facility. They seemed to think she's reached her maximum length wise, and her jaw and teeth are probably as good as they'll ever get (no more rubber-jaw or glass teeth.) That said, I bet she's put on a bit more muscle in the facility, now she has a deeper pool and more room

I never thought I would watch a video of two adults making a meat cake in celebration for the birthday of their pet alligator but here I am. I love it!
Has Rex ever been given any fruits? I know in the wild, gators have been seen eating wild pumpkins and melons. They also ingest plant matter that their prey eats.

Curious how her personality has changed since the move. Are you still able to handle her as easily or has it gotten harder. Is she bigger, stronger, more feral? She obviously looks way happier.

Alligators normally remember who people are and they show affection to the people who feed them so they probably Are just cautious.
I think rex would be bigger but still be as friendly as she always was, yes she probably has a few snaps here and there but she’s always been a sassy queen.
Pretty sure there being more cautious because she is getting bigger and stronger. As previous comments have said she does snap a lot and if they are not careful with the stronger more healthy alligator it might not work out to well if you get what I’m saying.

Alligators and crocodiles can live for sometimes past 100, and they don’t stop growing (Rex is stunted so she won’t get huge unfortunately)
@@mageofdoomsie1598 She will always be my favorite. I know part of her story, so she will always be my favorite. She's still younger than me, and will outlive me. My family rarely lives past 65.

I went back and watched the Rex Q&A video from 4 years ago and she looks like she is even bigger than before (when you said vet thought she was done growing) and her snout is straightened out more. Insane and definitely from the wonderful way you have cared for her. Has her behavior changed? How has the way to you care for her changed? Might be interesting to do a new Q&A or react to the old video.
Oooo I like this. I know moving her into the zoo her behavior changed a bit, and they obviously have a different routine to stay safe while caring for her. But I would really like a peek back at alligator story time or see all my pets, as I agree Rex has gotten so big and healthy compared to where she was
