I always so love traveling with you and Scott. He cracked me up talking about the wallpaper. I thought the paper was so lovely, and loved the kitchen. The homes are so beautiful!
If you went into the Atlantic and swam in a 2 o'clock direction for a few thousand miles then you'd end up in my house! Loved the wallpaper too x
The homes are beautiful and kept up so nicely. An era not forgotten
Spent New Year's Eve in Cape May a few years ago! It truly is charming. Didn't get to tour the Elmen Physick house, but now it's going to be a must see for the next time we go!
That was so fun thanks for taking us along with you and Scott. They had them in a lot of hard work filming and editing. It was a lot of fun. I want to say that you and Scott on the beach with the sun shining coming off on an angle was very beautiful. I’m into watercolors, I automatically thought of how beautiful that would be to paint that moment I am like you as well. If it’s too crowded, I can’t enjoy myself as much he did it excellent job even with all the crowds Scott you are a great team.🎄
Love traveling with you also. Houses are beautiful thank you taking us along
That was a Christmas treat - Cape May is on my list and at Christmas at night I think some of those quaint houses would look amazing. I enjoyed the house tour, the walk on the beach and the walk to your car to see the different houses. When you were in the outdoor market I could just imagine hearing the ocean, smelling the water and the pine decor at the same time. Thanks for the visual gift!
This was so much fun, Sophia! Cape May is beautiful. This brought back many nice memories. Thank you for taking us with you and Scott! ❤️
whenever I see homes like this with the personal effects on display I always think of Anne of Green Gables... the Victorian era was the pinnacle of Christmas - what a lovely tour - thanx for taking us along! And Merry Christmas to you and your entire family! May your 2024 be happy and prosperous for you all! ♥
Love, love, love wallpaper. So rich! Wallpaper us like gift wrapping a room.
I'm like you Sophia, I paused the video often to see the wallpapers. I grew up in a 1890 house that had belonged to a doctor in Asheville, NC.
Thank you Sophia and Scott,
I enjoy your travelling adventures and all of the chit chat. 😁
Loved looking at all the beautiful houses! Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you Sophia and Scott! I will
Probably never get to New Jersey so I appreciate you taking us along and I love how you and Scott are able to spend time together ❤ I love Scott’s sense of humor and how he is chronically unimpressed. 😂 I thought the home you toured was absolutely gorgeous and I wondered if you were looking over the place settings to make sure it was accurate 😂 Thank you again Sophia and Scott! And much love to you both.
Lol. I did!
Roosevelt's cottage at Campobello, New Brunswick is wonderful. You would love it, Sophia.
Thank you for taking us along. I’m with you Sophia, the wallpaper was beautiful! Scott is just like husband,it’s just wallpaper no big deal! I hope you enjoy your vacation!
I love the tour I love the town and the house she saw it was very enjoyable for me sitting here in Palm Coast, Florida alone. My husband passed away two years ago. We went to Cape May many years ago when we lived in northern New Jersey and stayed overnight in one of the bed-and-breakfast, so it brings back happy memories. Thank you so much merry Christmas and happy new year from Jeannie.
I thought that house had a lovely homely feel despite it’s large size. It would be a very comfortable home. Thank you for showing us somewhere I would never have known about and will never visit myself.
I loved this trip. Looks like a wonderful place to visit and is exactly the type of things my hubby and I like to do. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing the tour of this beautiful house along with the history.
The detailed wood carvings, and the wall paper, especially the blue, are my favorites.
Glad you enjoyed it yes, the wallpapers were amazing.
Loved this tour! Havent been to Cape May in Years! Fun to see it again!
Really enjoyed tour! House was beautiful, thanks for taking us along! ❤😘😊🧶🎅🤶🎄
Hi Sophia and Scott! Another great vlog. Thanks for taking me along. Loved you guys holding hands and walking on the beach. We are blessed to live less than 3 miles from the beach and go at least every couple weeks. I bet that fatty was delicious! Merry Christmas to you ALL. HI FROM Myrtle Beach.🏖😍🌲🏝🌃
Enjoyed your trip, thank you for your Christmas card it was a pleasant surprise. I’m glad you enjoyed the Pyrex article. Wishing you, Scott and the boys a very Merry Christmas and healthy new year
Wow that house was amazing and beautiful!! Thanks for sharing! 😍👌🏻
What a treat!! Thx! Scott and Sophia. Houses were beautiful to look at. Laughed at the comment “real sailor” my son also serves in the military he would also think that was funny. 😂
Thank you for taking us along to Cape May. Merry Christmas to you and yours.🎄
Beautiful home thank you for taking us along.
You make the best travel videos! I loved that house!
Ha ha that’s right Scott! #gonavy. I visited Cape May in 1996 with a very cranky 3 yo who was days away from chicken pox (thanks to a little kid on the ferry 😂)
She did love going to the beach to find the clear stones? She called them crystal diamonds. ❤
Always excited when I see a video pop up. Merry Christmas.
Wow wow wow!!!😊 I absolutely love the houses! 🥰Blocks and blocks of Victorian houses! 😮I also enjoyed the tour of the house. And the mall but yeah I’m with you on the too many people. I thought you were going to get run over sometimes by the people 😂 thank you for sharing.😊
I was thinking the same thing!! LOVE the wall paper!!!
I have some wallpaper in the house (from the original builder) I love it!! Not that old, but not common today.
I love the houses on your walk back to your car!!
When it was quiet? Yeah, I wanted to knock on doors and ask if I could look around!
Love ❤️ enjoyed watching 🎄 ❤😊
Love cape may, my brother got married on the beach there.
You two lovebirds are so cute! I bet Scott's favorite part was the beach because you held his hand!
Well, he was a sailor, that did help.
Enjoyed watching 😊💜🎅❤️
❤❤😊😊 thanks for a lovely vidio!
how romantic ❤
Cromwell became Lord Protector December 1653 for about 5 years, Queen Victoria married Prince Albert August 1819, a few Christmases in between! But Christmas as we know it was certainly established by Prince Albert, especially the Christmas tree.
And here I am like a parrot repeating what was said on the tour. Lol.
I love Victorian architecture!! Thank you so much. A delightful trip. Glad you got away!!
Beautiful home I love anything victorian..I think the wallpaper was nice.thanks for sharing your day with us
Loved the Video Sophia and Scott, ❤🙋🎁🎄😘
I have seen a tv program about the paranormal and this house was where the investigators were .thank you for sharing.
That hone is gorgeous the kitchen wad beautiful I like the open shelving and now that's coming back in style
My husband and I love Cape May ❤
Thank you for posting your vlog, Sophia. I really enjoyed seeing the Physick house. I liked the wallpaper and the simple way they presented the dining table with the ribbon and seeing the kitchen and crockery storage was interesting too. Cape May looks a very nice town. I particularly liked the look of all the houses. Btw I think it was a megatooth sharks tooth.
Oh, thank you ssoo much😀.In late '40-'50 we simmered from Philly in Ventnor Margate Bay area😀1960's parents realized most of our classmates in Ocean City😅. Many times in Cape May. Actually, there 10 years ago. We placed our mothers ashes under Steel Pier. Evedentally, my parents and family spent a lot of their "back in the day"😅.
Thank you⛄
Scott being real! 👍🏼
Scot Mr Underwhelmed LOL
Very unique home its a statement on his creativity maybe a way to say you can build it your way
The wallpapers were fun to see, but a little too much for me. Still it is fun to see past trends.
Cape Cod is nicer for beaches.
Love that house.
I commented on the wallpaper in nearly every room while watching, so I burst out laughing when you started talking about it. It WAS amazing, for sure. And I think that horror movie was "The Prowler".
Yes! The Prowler. Never saw it but I read it was filmed there. No I have to see it.
Hello Sophia! Love the video, my wife and I live not far from Cape May in Brigantine! Beautiful homes there, and a fun place to visit. So sorry to disappoint, but 100% not a shark tooth. It appeared to be a broken piece of a horseshoe crab shell. Scott's funny, he reminds me of me!
Figures! Lol!
Hi Sophia if you have time you would enjoy German couple living in the UK called Kirsten and Jeorg They go to alit of old cottages and period properties and stay there ,they recently stayed in a cottage with some amazing wallpapers and also found the original Hansel and Gretel's house 😊.
Me either Scott.
Are French Christmas traditions the same like English?
Christmas Eve is the biggest festivity in France. That is when the family gathers. It allows for folks to go back home and have Christmas day with their kids in their own home (if you live nearby). Most families host though and the cousins would stay at one house throughout (fun memories). But other than that, same, different movies, different songs. Traditionally we serve a turkey with Chestnut stuffing on Christmas eve. Always oysters, foie Gras and smoked salmon. The Buche (log) cake. We don't have carolers, that is strictly British. Midnight mass ends shortly after midnight with the birth of our savior at exactly 12. We have the nativity scene, that's been going on for over 800 years now.
@@mygreatchallenge nice 😍, happy holidays to you and your loved ones🌷, hopefully you will celebrate Christmas with your mother next year 🙏🏼.
Loved the trip! HAHA. leave it to Scott. Both of you were cute walking on the beach. Enjoyed seeing the house. Wonder why the houses weren't decorated for Christmas???
Not everybody celebrates Christmas.
👍👩👍
Cape May had an 89 percent higher crime rate than the rest of the garden state. May be beautiful, but absolutely not someplace most would want to live 😂
You have no idea what you are talking about. Almost 0 crime
@richardwilson1 Looking at the most recent crime report, the crime rate in Cape May is 72.4% higher than the national average. These crimes fall into two primary categories: violent and property. Violent crimes encompass murder, rape, robbery and assault, while property crimes involve theft, vehicle theft and burglary. In Cape May, there were 6 reported violent crimes, equivalent to 211 per 100,000 individuals, 43% lower than the national average. Additionally, there were 108 property crimes, amounting to 3796 per 100,000 residents, 94.2% higher than the U.S. average
That is a very misleading number. Cape May is a tourist town . We have a residential population of less than 3000 people ( that is the number they use when showing those statistics ) In the summer we have over 50,000 people a day in Cape May and because they are not residents that number is not used in figuring the statistics. If the actual number of people in the town was used we’d have one of the lowest crime rates
@@richardwilson1 The numbers don't lie, Dick. Im.born and bred NJ and everyone in North NJ knows Cape May is whiskey tango. Article after article can break this down for you. Research on your own, not my job.
@@richardwilson1 AC has more visitors than Cape May....you want to discuss crime numbers there? 🤣 One factor has nothing to do with another.
Would be nice if you knew what you were talking about. At the start of the video the caption says “ ocean street “ it is not it is Beach Ave. The candy shop you said was the oldest in cape may. It is not. It is the newest one in Cape May.
This was so much fun, Sophia! Cape May is beautiful. This brought back many nice memories. Thank you for taking us with you and Scott! ❤️
