Getting Things Done || Bathroom Restyle || Part Three
Product links below *** I have been wanting to do this project since we moved into our home 13 years ago. We have this beautiful Art Deco bathtub, unfortunately, sometimes around the 1980s, they surrounded it with sliding doors, aluminum frame and frosted glass. Just horrid. Today is the day! I am removing the entire enclosure, and the goal is to reglaze both tub and walls then install a proper curtain track, opening up the entire space. I hope you will follow me on this DIY journey! In this video, finish all the sanding, caulking, painting and install a new shower curtain rod and shower curtain. I hope you like the new style.

Hi Sophia, great job really nice bathroom. Love it! I noticed you mentioned being an empty nester pretty soon. Can you please do a video about it bc l also am almost there. I only have my son left and l know that sooner or later l will be an empty nester too. It was hard in the beginning but l came to realize that it's part of life. Eventhough my adult children are very much in my life l still miss having them around the house. Aw well like they say in french, C'est la vie.😊

I would put a simple black valance curtain up. It will put a little color around the window. Also, yes, i would put up frost film on the window.

Looks really good! What a difference! Why do we live with things that are wrong for so long?
It s just a matter of finding the right time to fix it. It s not necessarily punishment or laziness. Sometimes it s just not the right time to fix stuff. I had to have at least one kid out of the house and another one not inconvenienced with taking a shower somewhere else. So having the bathroom off limits for an entire week was not an inconvenience at all. When you have small children, it s not always practical and parents may have to wait for those projects. I don't blame them. The focus is on the kids, not on the aesthetic of the house. Know your priorities. That s all.
@@mygreatchallenge In my case things that are broken or don't work properly stay that way for a very long time. Projects don't get totally finished. I think we just get used to it. Lots of deferred maintenance at my house!

love it all. at our house we just repainted all the rooms and freshened everything up too. it makes our houses seem new.
One woman's opinion: frost the bathroom window in lieu of a curtain. Because the shower curtain is nearly touching the window curtain, it would need to match to look best. Frosted would also provide more visual space.
It s not. It s over a foot and a half if not more away. The prespective makes it look that way. It s ok to say you don't care for the curtain.

It looks amazing. The toilet thing, I agree. I was invited to a formal dinner party. Formal dinning room. Guess where the toilet was. The door was right in the dining room. Seriously the toilet was ten feet from the table.
