      lol, this is the only review video I've seen about Vespas that called something "plastic" (this is false, Vespa uses metal), mentioned it depreciating in value (where is he? used Vespa's cost the same as new ones depending on the model - there are hardcore collectors of this scooter brand), and Japanese scooters are better (this is a preference - also, many J-scooters look like mini motorcycles, not scooters). I have to give it to the creator, their bias was showing very heavily in this review 😂

  • @nikitis13
    @nikitis13 Před 4 lety +55

    If you're taking about "reliability" then ask any long term Vespa owner and you'll know that Vespa's are built like little tanks, they are generally bomb proof, many running well over 100,000km with nothing more than general maintenance. I've had 5 in total from PX, LX and GTS and all have been stellar in reliability. Yes, Japanese scooters are reliable too but Vespa's monocoque steal body is built to outlast your riding days, thats why we still see plenty of vintage models all around the world that are still humming along. Yes you pay a little more but its well justified for build quality, longevity, ride and design. Timeless no matter which model you choose.

    • @wewouldneversellourclubfor3166

    I watched videos on scooter west in the u.s, their used Vespa's are not cheap. I still own a Honda Scooter, it nice, but feels cheap compared to the Vespa and of course
    it was cheaper than the Vespa. Many people comment on how nice the Vespa is, I never had anyone say anything about my Honda, the Honda is just another Scooter.

    Vespas hold value very well. Especially older ones. New model vespas tend to keep value at the same rate nicer cars do. After 10 years and alot of use? yeah you lose cost. I know the Ruckus tends to start cheap and stay pretty cheap. its value is pretty locked until you mess them up. Though Ruckus' are also kinda crappy shaky little things while a vespa can and frequently are used for touring. So they are sorta a different market.

I own a Vespa Primavera and I would never buy a brandnew vespa, because in Sweden the first 2 years they tend to depriciate a lot, but then the value kind of stabilizes. I have a 50cc, and when I get a motorbike license I may stick with a piaggio branded product or go with a japanese scooter (most piaggio scooters have exactly the same engine as the vespa brand) I got mine because the offer was just extremely good (if this offer wouldn't come I'd get a yamaha neos or honda nsc vision), now it will very soon be 14,000km and it has had zero issues what-so-ever and only done basic service.
