Just remember Thanos:
As a Yugioh villain, you can steal all the infinity stones in the world, but they're pretty much just stones until you can win a children's card game a few times (with a little magic cheating allowed here and there), to transfer ownership of them to you
Thanos wouldn’t be the first alien trying to conquer or destroy Earth through a children’s card game.
welp, if Thanos just having a hard time finding every infinity stones then he just gonna use exodia as a replacement
Back in the very old days of Yugioh in the mid-2000s, I always enjoyed playing with my Exodia deck, and collected several LOB Exodia sets while collecting. Now that I no longer play, this, for me, will make me want to buy a sealed box and have it stored away, and get the first edition cards to collect. I miss the old days of playing.

This is exactly why Konami gives so much support to Duel Monsters era cards. Nostalgia sells.

Fun fact about sacred beasts is that even if they did manage to remove obliterate I can use the sacred beast trap card that not only gives life points every time they summon a monster but negates every monster effect my opponent controls on the field to pull it right back out of the graveyard
*any* continuous trap card BTW
I can do this so long as I have a level 10 monster on the field not just sacred beasts

Because you didnt draw them yet. It summon the fusion by just showing the cards from your deck.

Kind of glad they added on to this archetype that kind of fell off and was overlooked on.
I have forgotten the name of a card in one of my old decks, but its effect was to convert any damage taken to your Life Points from card effects into healing instead. If you have that spell active and the Exodia card in play, you can turn its effect of taking 1000 Life Points per turn into healing you. If you have multiple copies of Exodia’s pieces, you could summon Phantom Exodia Incarnate as a fusion of five legs (downside, though, is that he’s ‘armless’)
you can only have 3 legs in ur deck tho
@@SilverSnakeMemes Has to be the left leg. Specifically.
That leg's what carries Exodia to victory!
Exodia is EXTREMELY limited. Like 'absolutely NO MORE THAT 1 COPY OF EACH PIECE' limited. Other wise it's pretty OP (even the whole win condition along is already pushing it on the OP thing) and if you could have more than 1 copy of each piece you'd wind up like that cheating Exodia Rare Hunter with multiple dead draws of pieces you'd already gotten in hand then, when forced to discard, it's revealed you use Exodia so opponent might run Card Destruction+Dimensional Fissure to take out possibility of Exodia win+Necros+any other Exoida themed card that requires the pieces be in grave
@@VisserOne I'm afraid that is not the case though. The part about him being OP I mean. Sure, you can make a deck that will win on the first turn with it, but there are so many counters to that strategy in the TCG which are in literally every competitive deck, that as far as I know, there has only been ONE Exodia deck that made it to worlds.
Fact of the matter, the cards themselves are useless on their own. Meaning you have 5 cards in the deck that do nothing for you unless you hold all five in hand. Any one of those cards you start with in hand, could have been a card that would be used to gain advantage over your enemy, counter his/her plays or further your deck's strategy.
The WORST hand you can start with while using an Exodia deck, usually involves starting with three pieces in hand. Since the other 2 or 3 cards you'll have little to no chance to get you the missing two, or keep you alive till the next turn.
Me and some friends ran an experiment for the heck of it. We tested various Exodia decks where we would act as if they weren't limited to 1. Turns out, having three copies of each card was absolutely HORRID. 15 useless cards in a 40 card deck is BAD. And you have more chances of filling your hand with a bunch of limbs, without completing the set. It was the brickiest deck I have played in my life. The only thing that is made better by having 3 pieces of each is that it improves your odds of starting with the set in hand a little. It's still nowhere NEAR common enough of an occurence where you'll actually see it happen throughout several hundred games played though.
TLDR: Exodia's a gimmick. A cool gimmick, but nothing more. More intimidating then actually powerful. More bark then bite. Not OP.
The fact it's limited to 1 per part is a blessing in disguise. It's the optimal number for him.

I'm still waiting on the alternate art exodia pieces...
Now Master Duels gonna have to make a prompt asking if u wanna win the duel right away or not.
I can't believe they made an archetype where drawing 5 Garnets is a win condition
How can you reveal the 5 pieces from your hand?! You would win before playing it!
I think you mean you can play it to reveal pieces from both your deck and hand to use said effect.
If you activated it but chained a draw 1 quick play effect. This resolve first
That draw one was the 5th piece.
@@declanl311 as far as I know it doesn't work. The rules are, if at any given moment in time you get the 5 exodia pieces in hand, you win.
Meaning you use it, chain the draw, get the last remaining piece on the draw, exodia activates, you win. You never get a chance to show the 5 pieces from your hand with this effect as far as I know but I might be wrong.
@@markhunter3533 Depends if the 'show' effect is a cost.
@@professorhaystacks6606 so I did some reading. Exodia would always activate first.
If you draw it due to the effect of a card, once that card resolves, exodia activates and you win. So if I were to use gracefull charity, I draw, discard and exodia activates. In this case I use the draw, get the card, win the game before I could reveal it with the other card effect.
Future Fusion gonna go crazy
Oh. That's gonna be a ftk deck so fast, summon that out with the card equip it with the five pieces of exodia then bounce them all back to your hand with something then boom.
I love the idea of thanos using an exodia deck especially with the new support.
So I need to stack banishing cards.
No matter what you do, it won’t be a meta deck, which always changes as the game state progresses. I had a deck that can beat numerous different archetypes but there will always be a deck to counter mines. Only so much you can do with 40 cards or 40-60.
Actually it does NOT specifically say you need all 5 different pieces, it says you just need 5 forbidden one monters ☝ just like Quintet Magician, you don't NEED 5 different spellcasters to fusion summon him, just 5 spellcasters, but that card actually states that if you have 5 different spellcasters, you can validly use it's effects

How does the last card work? If you have all 5 pieces in your hand, you win instantly. Unless the wording is "and/or" and you can reveal from both
Why would I reveal the 5 pieces from my hand with a magic card if I can just win...
Yes, yes, I know.
That's a nice Boss Monster you get there be ashame if someone kaijied it.
It's gonna be fun fighting this deck. It'll feel like a real boss battle. Nothing my D/D/D/D's can't handle though.
It's a decent card, by no means a "Boss Monster". They should've given it the card text something like this: "This card is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn, if this card battles, during calculation (Quick effect): You can make this card's ATK equal to your LP. Once per turn, If a Spell/Trap Card or Monster effect is activated (Quick effect): You can negate that activation and remove that card from play face-down. Once per turn, during the End Phase: You can Set 1 "Exodo" Spell/Trap card or "Obliterate!!!" directly from your Deck. During your Standby phase: You lose 1000 LP." .... This text could be refined down a bit further to cut out some of the text, but because of the wording on this card i don't actually believe it's a 'real card' or it doesn't have a TCG translation yet, so someone had to do that by hand. It's underpowered in a lot of senses. It needs an 'unaffected by other card effects clause' at the bare minimum to make the card playable. Too much spot banish removal at this point in yugioh to have this card live up to the Exodia name in terms of playability. Strong, but weak given the current & last few metas.
Ok so equip exodia with the pieces than giant trunade to get them back in your hand to win
If this would've had the once per turns removed from the text, and destroyed swapped with unaffected by, maybe limited the effects to 5 times per turn or duel or something, then maybe this would been better.
And still not great lol.
As it sits, 1 effect negate in the damage step is gonna leave you all sorts of messed up.
Darkly big rabbi too OP I'll sell my left leg for him
Now, if only the rest of the world can have a copy of the Creator of Light besides the 10,000 prize winners who earned it back in the day.
OG exodia was playable back when graceful charity wasn’t limited to 1 per deck.
So you become the new exodia once per turn.
Also, if this were real, Millennium Cross would need to be a quick-play spell. If they're trying to make this tier 0, which considering it's Exodia of all things. It should be. One broken fucking format where they just bank on the price of these cards going batshit. Also if they wanted to really double down they could make it spell speed 4 like super poly.
A fusion of all five Exodia cards... If I have all five Exodia cards, wouldn't I just show them and say "OBLITERATE!"?
But if your fusing then you wouldn't have them. You use pieces on the field, in hand and in deck to fuse.
🤔🤔 this is one tricky monster. Since it's stated that once you have all 5 exodia pieces in your hands you automatically win the duel
You reveal them from your deck with the fusion spell. Reading must be hard for you.

Not really. See this card is part of the millennium archetype and one of their monsters millenniumoon maiden has an effect that protects level 5 and higher illusion and spell caster type monsters from being targeted by effects when it's special summoned. And it can special summon itself whenever the opponent activates a card or effect while it's a continuous card.(the entire deck has effects that allow them to put themselves in the s/t zones) so since jet is a targeting effect moon maiden protects it from being bounced.

The last words got me wondering if you could win a duel if the opponent actually dies while dueling? And if you (the one who won the duel) would feel like he sent his opponent to the shadow realm.
Maybe, when the duelist took damage, it seemed like they were hurt, maybe just maybe you could die if it was super damaging, I don’t really know for sure. Also, luckily, the Seal of Orichalous or whatever wasn’t played, no shadow realm.
I so wanna use those cards
Still fall for a Kaiju as Raidraptor Falcon
You ain't reading the card right, brother.
Every time that exodia battles, it gains attack every battle. It doesn't say anything about going back to zero. Meaning if you're untouchable, during every battle that exodia is gaining 8K
So every turn, you lose 1000 LP? It can't be destroyed, but I'm pretty sure your opponent can use a card to negate its effects and somehow end up destroying it even though that shouldn't be possible. Also it looks like it can be banished or returned to your hand. They need to make the God cards and Exodia way stronger because they're easily taken down.
I have a feeling at least some of these cards are going to get banned immediately. It's unfortunate that something like that happens to because well if you can't beat it figure it out.
