- Back to Portugal.. a Massive 5+ meter swell forecasted... but didn't come in as expected. Meia Praia is on the South Coast so it has to wrap around. it also needs a low tide so I was a bit early. Very gusty, Fat wave.. trust me it can be super fun...but looks like I'll have to go back on a good day.

It’s so helpful as an intermediate wave sailor to have you explain what you’re doing, strategy etc, like choosing not to plane so you can stay upwind. 🙌🏼
I really like those Ride/Talk Sessions (: very entertaining to watch and as someone who is just about to start venturing into waves I tend to learn a lot. Great work, thank you very much for your videos! 👌
Imagine all the cool spots you could have covered if you had the means to do this 10 plus years ago? Always enjoy them 😁 06:32 had me 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for making the start of my Saturday so enjoyable!🤙
Terrific enjoyment to watch, on a Friday night.
Good to see you going out in real world conditions which is what most of us get on average.
Loving these videos Ben. Hugely entertaining and informative 👌
Nice! I did have a look at Meia Praia on an easterly / levante a few months ago - high tide and the sea was definitely saying no. Good to see that it's ok at a low tide / westerly.
You're talking about waves like they have a soul ("look at this one, it's trying its best"). Always in search of unison with nature.
Hey Ben. another great video. Could you do a short vid on your camera set-up? Interested in how you have it mounted to your mast and what the extension looks like. Thanks mate.
...looks like Cape Town in the last 5 weeks, no wind and small wave.....
Bonjour Ben 😃 After a morning of skiing, it's good to see sand and waves, so cool, thanks ☀️🌊😍 Why don't you use, for exemple, the Helix 96/106 and a 5.3/5.4 in these kind of conditions? OK, I (Dejan) have 87kg of muscle 🤣 but it would allow you to plow the water less, what do you think? 😉 Otherwise, how lucky to have this spot almost just for you… and bravo for this video with all this info, always a great job 🔥💙 Aloha from both of us from our Swiss Alps 😎😘🤙🏼
Oufff Ben at 83 kg, maybe you should have gone out with a 95 lt board😎
I think you’re right!! 🙈🙈
The struggle is real 😂
Hey Ben, thanks for this. I will be on site in around 2 weeks. Any ideas where I can rent Wingfoil in Lagos? Any hints welcome. Alex
So you have both the Quantex 85l and the Flywave 85l, how do you decide which one you're going to use?
welcome to the Real world Ben
Hey Ben , enjoy the videos. Are winds usually better in winter or summer in Sagres? Planing at sailing your home beach at the end of June. Which wind direction is best for slalom conditions?
Yeah totally.. June is a windy month! Slalom conditions in Sagres , Martinhal beach. Is wind from the north. Which is the normal summer wind.
Looks like you need 6m2+!
It was super gusty.. sometimes full power
But mainly I need to lose weight 😂
