Having the paraphonic capability is great - for both playing or sequencing!
Wish they had added Delay rather than Distortion.
The whole point of the Station synths is that filthy multimode distortion.

Ok. I am not too familiar with any groovebox, I am more of a keyboard player and already have the Mininova and the BsII from Novation in my synth set. But now I’ve decided to buy the MS. Grooveboxing seems fun and this little baby has the ability to make proper 8 bit sid remake patterns even as a standalone unit. Not mentioned what happens when it is supported with bsii and/or the mininova . Thx for the demonstration. Nice job.

My God as a Bass station and circuit owner I've been considering Trading in my base for a mono station as it has a better sequencer than the BS2.
Plus every time I play my bass station I wish it had more than one Distortion sound to work with, oddly enough.

Hi Bonedo Synthesizers great demo! I was wondering if you could please give me your personal opinion. Im trying to decide between the circuit mono station, the roland sh-01a or the roland se-02. I am currently building my setup and at the moment im using Ableton live, maschine mk3 and a minilogue xd, so im looking to add a nice bass synth to the setup. The type of music i make varies between downtempo experimental / deep house to a slightly aggressive techno. I use a lot of analogue sounds and sampled instruments such as pianos, saxophone and trumpets so i would like to add something that could blend nicely with these sounds. Ps: i also have the novation circuit (not sure if that might influence a lot since im using ableton live). Thank you. Subbed 👌🏼
I spend hours on my circuit, it will play very nicely with the one you have.
It is very powerful, and I can play it in the dark.
It is intuitive, and the distortions are all very nice.
The bass shakes the house and blows air through the speaker ports that smells like the mdf they are made out of.
Hi Bonedo.....I play a lot of Berlin school, and Ambient, chill, ( both uptempo & downtempo) but not hip hop or techno. I am looking for a drum machine that is not oriented towards hip hop, EDM or any kind of dance oriented music. Rather I am looking for a drum machine that lends itself towards Tangerine Dream type of compositions and artists like that.....any suggestions please? Thank you!
Hi! In this case, i‘d focus on flexibility. A combo of sampling and synthesis would be a good start. Novation circuit as a low budget option includes two vast synth channels and a sample playback engine. If you can spend a bit more, have a look at elektron’s machines. Analog rytm is a great drum machine and sampler but also capable of playing instruments tonally via notes so you could get that typical Berlin school melody lines. Analog Four is a good synth that thanks to parameter locks could also be used as a nice drum machine

MPC Live can be whatever you want it to be. Plus latest update gives it good quality synths and mastering tools onboard.

How much grit and drive is the memory man adding to the sound?
only little if any. For distortion we used the internal Overdrive and Distortion circuits.
Probably zero. The mono station has filter drive, ringmod, and distortion circuits

you can get some decent drums out of it but if you're looking for an all-in-one-solution, you might want to check out Novation Circuit
