I miss watching Rachel Maddow every day and I've missed Jon Stewart. They both cited the same general reasons for dropping their daily programs: the work was eating them alive! I absolutely get that. Trevor was a great successor to Jon. I wish I could say the same about Alex Wagner. That Trevor left (relatively) more quickly than Jon or Rachel is to his credit. But what Jon Stewart and Rachel Maddow are able to bring to their shows is their unique - as in genuinely one of a kind - talent that cannot be replicated. Rachel and Jon coming to host on Mondays is a gift to their viewers and fans. AND, I'm sure to their networks and producers! Monday night programming here I come!

John coming back (if even for a week guest host) would make my existence so much more bearable. I miss his voice. I miss his laugh. I miss his brutal and agonizing truth bombs that make me realize that this world, not only can be better, but him pointing out the problems actually begins to MAKE them better. First step to fixing problems is realizing there is one. Or in Americas case....thousands and thousands.

Two icons of late night comedy news. This show has seen me through some rough times. It will always have a place in my heart. This latest round of random hosts isn't my favorite format but I'm here for it. 👍

Im an indian so i didnt knew about daily show until Trevor became its host..even tho i didnt have any knowledge of the politics or the social world of america, i still watched the daily show coz trevor is so funny n a skilled speaker that i started to find news about america interesting..
you're in for a sweet sweet treat with Jon Stewart. As a host (unless speaking on race), Trevor Noah just gave a piece of news then made a joke, give a piece of news and then make a joke. He wasn't insightful. There wasn't wisdom. Jon Stewart is funny and insightful, wise etc. for the entirety of the show. I'm so happy he's back, even if for one day a week.

I went to SA with a study Group of a German university. I still use to joke that I was in the least african City (Cape town) of the least african province (Cape Province) in the least African country (SA). That was the case in 2002 (when I was there). I do suspect this has not changed.
