I just purchased Coral Island and I am already getting worn out by it. It is awesome to know that if I just push through the first few weeks there is still a lot to do! Thank you for exploring the game! I also hate how much energy you need to do literally everything.
The energy problem does get much(!) better over time!
im in winter year 1 and i already have way too much energy for the day, i mostly don’t have to use it all 😅 only if i’m grinding for something in particular hahah
don't worry, after some time, energy really won't be a problem at all, just try to level all caracteristics quick
yeah as your character levels you get more stamina..and food helps alot too, also upgrading your tools to use less energy per swing works wonders as well.
So, no one talking about character art look like Disney character? This game totally on my wishlist.
Definitely a part two. I am currently in the fall beta and there is some great stuff on the way. The fall update is huge and it is going to give expand more of the game.
I am trying so hard to stay out of the beta!! But it's challenging knowing there's more to do. 😢
wow alot of Indonesian aspect on the game! I was surprised when the NPC named Surya (a super common name in Indonesia) showed up, and then balap karung! remind me of my childhoods 🤣
Had an inkling of SEA flavours from the names that popped up, and I was right. Nice to see them add some extra dimensions to the farm Sim experience, especially the underwater elements.

I was mildly interested in this game until I saw that there's a diving component and now I really want to play. Can't wait for more of this!
The diving is one of my favorite parts! Very different from what I was used to.
Would love to see a part 2 after the August update! There s so much cool stuff in it, would be great to see what you think of it

I loved this video! The way you tell the story with just the right touch of sarcasm and humor is perfect. Still not sure if I'll get the game because it would mean a huge computer upgrade from fossilized data storage to actual modern digital amazement. Maybe...someday..

so happy to see this !!! i’ve been playing off and on since early access was released, and i had found out about it originally after the kickstarter got huge. even with it being a ways from full release still i’ve been having so much fun with it, and i’m glad it’s getting the attention it deserves :) hope to see more content on it as they keep updating !!
The merfolk stuff is already coming down the pipes so soon! I'll have to get back to it at some point for sure because it's just so fun!

the energy issue i found annoying until i realized its to kinda nudge you to using the cooking mechanics to have food or to encourage you to use the bath area where u regain energy for free over a little time, love this game tho and super excited for the complete release in two weeks!
everything is so pretty 😭and the amount of lore and exploration is *amazing* and oh my god, the festivals?? i love them sm. also love the big round cows!! harvest moon back to nature was like that and i miss it ahah

How long are the seasons/months/whatever? How much of a year is 100 days?

Just trying to figure out how much of the game is completed, without getting any spoilers. I hear the game is more story-based than Stardew.
I haven't played much of the last big update but when I found out I could FINALLY upgrade the scythe made me yell! I really love this game a lot ;v;
The scythe upgrades are so clutch when you get further. 🧑🍳💋
@@Leapalot I'll bet! I played a lot before the big update and when I first discovered you couldn't upgrade it I was very sad.
I spend so much of my time underwater because my ultimate goal is to be the recycling/trash goblin of the town that somehow saves the ecosystem. It's fun being somewhat deranged!
This was very entertaining, would love a part 2 now that the Merfolk Kingdom/Fall update will be out soon. Your farm layout also inspired me, I'm redecorating as I type this 😂

I like how you make videos and made it very entertaining. The fall update for this game changed a lot of the beginning and "mid" game dynamic and flushed it out more. Love the bag leaping (zak lopen) the orginal name or in english bag walking mini game its origin comes from the netherlands its a really old game dated back to mabey even the 1800's if not older
I was having so much fun with coral island until the feedback update, when my laptop started crashing every time i went to bed, so nothing saved and i was stuck in groundhog day. Turns out my graphics card isn't powerful enough for the game 😔 i can't afford a desktop (or even a desk) but maybe someday i can afford a steamdeck! In the meantime i hope you keep posting content, i love to see it 😊
Ah, that is a bummer! Sorry to hear it, I hope you can jump back in at some point! I'm guessing you already tried this, but I've talked to a couple people who just had to start a new farm after one of the updates.

OH and in case no one mentioned it: i *think* the pickstarter backers stuff for the museum is actually for the coral island kickstarter backers, like a way to have them in the game? i could be wrong, but that was the impression i got. so on the nose, yes, but also a kinda cute way to incorporate them.
I believe that's the case to include them lol. I'm super excited for 1.0 in a couple weeks!!

This was a good video! I'm interested in coral island even more now, but I definitely think I'm going to wait to buy it until it's a full game, it just seems like theres still quite a bit of content missing for a game thats the same price as other finished games of the same genre. I would love to see another 100 days when it's fully released though!

What did you do in early game for energy? I feel like I’m always running out and trying to go to the hot springs to recoup energy and wasting so much time!
I ate a lot of my forage tbh. I was always hurting for energy in the early game.

I got an early access code for this game and played a few hours before I got too frustrated with the lag. I wish we were able to play it on laptops, when I bought the early access from kickstarter that wasn't clear at all. Apparently now after updates the game won't even start unless you have a separate graphics card :(

Don't worry about the harvest festival fail, it was bugged anyway. No matter how many point you get, you still lose the competition and Stairway was aware of this, so they'll work on it. ^^

I really want to enjoy this game more but my computer isn't much for speed in games, so everything is laggy. Plus, I've only got one arm, and having to go back and forth between mouse and arrow keys, especially with bug catching and lagginess? Not happening. Hopefully they expand to switch (if they haven't already) so I can play comfortably.
There is a planned release for switch! But it doesn't have a date yet. 😔

Definitely! There are similarities for sure. 🤔 But I'd argue that it's another offering of the genre much in the same way that Stardew built on the foundation of older farming sims. Each new offshoot learns what worked in the past and builds on it!
