Iâve been so eager for more Coral Island content and couldnât figure out why more people werenât seriously playing it yet - but this showed just how limited the early access is.

I thinks that's also why so many people DO talk about how close this looks to SV (with some features almost listed straigh up) - when there is so little content, what would've passed off without a blink stand out a lot more.
Game does look cool so I hope they get more of their own identity as they develop.
@@spiderlily723 as an Indonesian which i also lived in the same country as the developer, i found it very great to put alot of our culture in there (especially the festival lmao). But i also find it weird because i thought they will highlight the recycle and underwater stuff more because yk... it's coral island! So far they more focused on the farm development which is why i hope will adding more content towards the underwater world. Can't wait to see it's coming!
@@Mint_River11 Yeah, I'm very happy with and interested in the non-typical parts of the game, and those seem new and cool even if they use typicam mechanics.
And case in point, despite there being only one other farming game with recycling I know of, I don't see any similaritied between it and CI.
I think CI wouldn't even stand out too much if Immortal Life and Dinkum - two great farming games - didn't come out before and didn't have a much bigger showcase of the culture they portray (Chinese cultivation and Autralian habitat). Maybe development went too slow and they decided that typical farm mechanics would at least make people buy the game, since it would be something playable?
So I do hope developers focus more on the unique parts of the game - the festivals look really cool!
this game has so much potential. I played it a little when it first came out but with it being still in early access I couldn't really get into it. The graphics are beautiful and all the NPCs are so attractive lol

I can't wait to follow the improvement of this game! It seems the devs are already updating constantly, firstly focused on bug fixes but have great plans for it until full release! And best of all things is that they follow with their promises. I'm so glad you played this game, it definitely needs more attention!

I was very surprised you didn't notice the first bronze cucumber. You are always so calm, collected and organized!
It's so interesting to see how the way I played the game and yours were so different! I went for the upgraded house right away because I really wanted the kitchen, and didn't plant much at first because I didn't want to do all the watering every day - meaning I went head first into diving and even sunk some money on silver kelps for sprinklers. And I'm really bot a fan of honey; I much prefer the jellys and juices instead! I find they are way quicker and almost as profitable~
Bronze makes no sense though.... Cause Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin. It has to be smelted in a certain ratio and does not occur naturally.
it probably goes bronze, silver, gold as in ranking, like medals etc so gold would be the highest quality

Also as far as I know, the improved fishing rod actually gives a wider range of fish you can catch, I think? I think the bug net is similar, but I'm not sure đ

Just found you. I'm about to see my first winter. I want more beehouses, because flowers are so plentiful. Turns out, you can complete the C rank as soon as the end of summer. The hot spring is your friend. You can mine and dive and still make it home to sleep.

Really don't like people calling this a Stardew clone. Its clearly inspired by it but aiming to do so much more and not to mention the drastically different aesthetic. I see the similarities but farm sims have been doing this stuff for a long time before SV

It really is a gorgeous looking game. And you can see a lot of love has gone into it, and there's potential there for sure. I tried it when it was released and for some reason couldn't get on with it. Not sure why. I went back to Dinkum, at least for now.

I love your 100 day series so much and this one was great, too! I can't wait until more content for this comes out so I can see your 200+ days! I have to wait for the Switch version, which isn't happening until full release, so I'm just enjoying watching y'all play it for now. One thing I've only see happen in your gameplay is having something water your crops overnight! That caught me off guard... đ

I felt the same and I just started playing this yesterday. The fact that the map size is so HUGE and finding your way around is so confusing and it takes a quite while. The game is good, but for beginners like me who isn't familiar with farming games like this, it gets so overwhelming.
honestly understandable, the main way im able to learn these games nowadays is because of pouring so much time into the recording which i tend to do all in one go!

This game is putting every single farming/life sim in the last like 10 years to shame. There hasn't been a farming sim this good since the story of seasons games on the 3DS (and maybe Stardew if you liked that kinda game).
This should be the new standard every farming sim should aim for. And developed by such a small indie team completely off of Kickstarter and EA fees. Absolutely amazing.
Also! Awesome video. I can't believe I watched a whole hour (almost) of a CZcams video and didn't get bored for one second. Instead, I wanted to see another 100 days, and was really hoping to see you delve more into the relationship/social sim aspect of the game (though I know a lot of it is still majorly unfinished).
I played this game in Alpha back when it very first came out for those of us who Kickstarter it, and the difference between then and now is astronomical. I can't even imagine what the full thing will be like.

This game looks really cool, tho tbh I'm personally super put off by the character art style. It reminds me way too heavily of the one style of street caricature art and scott looks like markiplyer and that makes me wanna barf! This video did convince me to keep it on my steam wishlist at least. Maybe when it's fully released there will be mods that change the character portraits lol

It has a ton to it so far, but playing through shows how much is still missing. I'm really anticipating when it will be fully fleshed out, because looking at the roadmap, there's so much more to come. Even in EA, I feel like I got my money's worth.

bought the game, didn't really give a lot of time but it just felt super incomplete. was nice seeing someone explore more, should have spent some more time just wanted to wait for more content

I've been anticipating this game for a while and similarly burned through all of the current content, the Early Access really shows, but I'm hopeful that this will be a wonderful entry in the genre eventually.

Wait, they don't let you pick different eye colours because it's supposed to be set in Indonesia but they let you pick pink hair like that's a natural hair colour there? I just don't get that in a game where clearly hair dye is an option, coloured contacts don't exist, but that's just me.

its my first time watch coral island, i'm from indonesian. this is blow my mind when day 2 you found the ancient indonesian writing(i think) is sangsekerta we call it, but most people say it sanskrit. never see it outside history book, let alone in game. its joy to us, we got recognition. sorry if my english not good

I personally dislike when they release games like this unfinished in a way where they arenât correctly gatekeeping certain events. With the festivals being unfinished, why release it in the game or allow the player in that festival if thereâs nothing there.

I made the mistake on playing the game blind and planted the daisy late in spring when I remembered about the altar offerings. Lo and behold, once I planted it, it turned to summer the next day TT^TT

the full release is out but it is still unfinished, if you take things slowly this would not be a problem but if you rush through the years youâd find yourself running out of stuff to do.
OH MY GOD I literally had no idea the kelp essence was to up the seed quality I just skipped the dialogue I only saw something about animal feed....i've been struggling through that bronze produce quest for like two in game seasons now I-

Are you limited to the amount of days? I ask bc its still in alpha. Im only on day 20. I slowed the game time down to 60% and i have the ability to do so much more per day.

i feel like they're so entirely different it would be harder to recommend one over the other, especially because the way each of the devs are updating these games is so significantly different!
If you prefer stardew valley, go coral island, it's a fresh take on the genre. For context I played til winter 16 which took me 37 hours, and the devs had said for now we have the first year of content.
If you prefer animal crossing, go with dinkum, that game has many similarities but also adds a lot! For this one i played til late year 2, with 102 hours in the game.

i personally have:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: RTX 3080
32GB RAM
but the recommended is:
CPU: i7/Ryzen 1700+
GPU: GTX 960+
16GB RAM
I heard one of the issues could be caused by razer cortex so if you have that it's worth switching it off to play :)

What I like to do eventually with these is once I âcompleteâ the game (obvs for this not any time soon) I put them together in a mega movie, loved doing this for stardew expanded!

at the end of the day the games are meant to be played at your pace! chilling and exploring and stuff is great, but others enjoy a "speedrun" feel, do what feels right for you! âš

no it's an alloy but i guess it's a way for them to deviate from copper that a lot of games have!
@@emmalution ah yes an alloy, I see, well if I guess we can let it slide because it's beautiful and has a certain level of fantasy, but there is many more metals I would like to see any of them, or maybe instead of one rusty colour we could se a two-toned rock that gives you like "compound metals" that you melt into bronce or whatever, I can't wait to play this game tho

Stardew is an clone to other farming games so calm down. The developers are not finished with the game and there might be more content than Stardew. If concernedape doesnt care, you shoudnt either.\

5:01 Bronze ore?? Technically that doesn't exist, but it's a video game and in that game universe, I guess it just exists there in ore form, no need to smelt the copper and tin into an alloy. Game looks really interesting and neat so far.
