Anything on the 14s is still contending for medals internationally. Plus she'd likely get a lot of the artistry deductions fixed. I personally think her 2016 routine is very fun to watch and her choreo is good.
I disagree with the 0.1 deduction of the pike down at 2:46. Perhaps it appears that way from that angle, but Aly’s hips remained open throughout the skill and she landed perfectly upright nearly every time she performed a double layout.
Probably a little bias because she was my all time favorite… but I don’t see the judges being quite as harsh as some of the things you’ve marked as deductions. I would say 8.3-8.5E score.. but this is the beauty and curse of gymnastics! It’s completely subjective at times! None the less awesome video! Thank you for sharing! 😊
It would have been much harsher than the video especially the dance elements. But it’s a different quad so those compositions would have been destroyed no matter what.
@@cocoroni1031 completely agreed... the judges would be harsher if anything. Take a look at 2023 Worlds, the best of the best were not getting 8.5 E score on FX. But all things considered, I think 2016 Aly would certainly still be competitive on FX today and be in contention for medals.
