Cheryl Miller talked about the call that asked her to coach. She said she wanted no part of coaching again in the WNBA but thought it would be fun to Coach the All Star team. I think she would be great for the Fever especially with her brother’s connection to the city. Indiana doesn’t look like an orginazation that knows what it’s doing, I don’t expect anything to come from this buzz about Miller.

I think Bluder is done coaching and if they hired her, it would be bad for team chemistry and all the respect she’s built with her teammates and other players around the league. i don't know much about the wnba coach so, i'll leave the coaching changes to the other fans to decide. all i know is that the fever organization needs to recruit players that could complement both caitlin clark's and aliyah boston's style of play.
It's not just the games , it's the condensed schedule, the practices , the availability to the news media before during and after the games and the lack of any break after the college season, March madness and the championship game . That also may be par of the issues with her shots not falling . Will be interesting to see how she looks and performs the 2nd half of the season.

The NBA playoffs were aired after the 10 pm news. Sports is one of the few areas where race is secondary. You can either play or you can't play. If Bird wasn’t good there would have been no rivalry and the NBA might not be where it is now. However, Magic and Bird were great and moreover, they got David Stern as the NBA commissioner in 1984 as well. The finals were soon shown live and Magic and Bird were must-see TV. The NBA tried to give us Jimmer Fredette several years back but he wasn't good in the NBA. They tried to give us "Baby Jordan", Harold Miner, years ago but that didn't pan out. The NFL tried to give us Tim Tebow and that didn’t go over well. The problem is that they were average to below average pro players. Caitlin Clark is the one! She is Batman and Angel is Robin. If Caitlin couldn’t play I wouldn’t be watching the W(WE)NBA! The W(WE)NBA is where it is in just 2 months because of Caitlin Clark!!! I’m watching Caitlin Clark games and monitoring what the others do. She doesn’t even really need an Angel Reese to draw attention. Angel Reese and the rest of the W(WE)NBA need Caitlin Clark! These other women who were here before can get over themselves. They paved the way for Caitlin but Caitlin is now paving the way with gold for the rest of the league. In the beginning CC was set up for failure. Her success has thwarted that and now even Cheryl Reeve likes her. I don't think the WNBA ever considered the power and momentum of the Caitlin Clark Effect and now they have been steamrolled by it. The desperate hope of fans that a coach of the stature of Cheryl Miller will save the league shows that the WNBA has been beaten. Watching the video of Cheryl Miller coaching the All Stars was heartbreaking because it was all so normal. The Orange Carpet video showed a different side to all the stupid talk about lifestyles and conspiracies. Even Dianna Taurasi and Cheryl Reeve looked great in their makeovers. In her interview, when Miller got the call about coaching she said it was an ADAMANT NO...until she was told it was just the MVP job...then she was hyped. Would be cool if she would but she has no interest in coaching for a season anymore.

Larry Bird would make an outstanding coach for a couple of years, for sure. He grew up and played in a very diverse environment and has the respect of the various “communities” that provide talent to the WNBA. He’s also no nonsense and wouldn’t put up with detrimental egos for a second. Even though they obviously played different positions and in different eras, the things Clark has in common with Bird is outstanding court vision and self-confidence. As a rookie, Bird was not intimidated by the NBA and Clark demonstrates the same strength.
I've seen coaches that were completely incompetent, and some that were total jerks(totally unlikeable), but Christie Sides is the first I've seen that are both of these combined....Sides MUST be fired. Case Closed.
Not only is Sides overworking CC on the court with making her play for almost the whole duration of games, she's piled intensive weight-training on top of it to bulk CC up with more muscle. The weight-training and constantly increasing strength has screwed up the accuracy of CC's distance shooting. Once she gets to whatever 'fighting weight' Sides wants her at, CC is going to have to re-tune her shooting to get her accuracy back. Whereas I agree with Sides wanting more muscle on CC to make her be able to handle opponents who get physical against her, I think the best time for that to be going on is after the season is over. Miller would have enough sense to not tamper with what's working during a season and make changes after the season ends.
The Fever had No Coaching or Leadership in the first quarter of the season. But in the second quarter Clark stepped up as a Team Leader which is the sole reason for the teams strong improvement. Clark is not only carrying the team on her back in game play. She is also carrying them in Leadership with No Help From Their Worthless Coach.
Love CC, she’s not into the WNBA for the glory. She actually loves what she does. More importantly, she love herself more than she loves the game. Take care of yourself CC!

I agree not only Christy needs too go, but people need to realize Lin Dunn is the enabler and not communicating with Sides what we all see as glaring coaching issues. How do i know that? Two ways. First is recent interviews she done says Caitlin needs to fit the system. Instead of creating a system that plays to players strengths. Some of it is easy. Like having more single and double screens with players diving or cutting to the basket. A continuous motion offense, not the stand in your spot waiting for a pass. Or how about not sending Caitlin as the 2 guard, set her in the corner, never running plays for her and her never touching the ball for 4 minuet stretches. Or we could never see Erica Wheeler and Kelsi Mitchell both on the floor while Caitlin is. Her waiting to call timeouts when the opponent goes on runs over 10. or how about plays designed for Aliah and Caitlin when at the end of the game in critical scoring situations....DUH! When defense, they always play the same defense. She is supposed to be a defensive coach. it's poor coaching and imagination that the D is not better at this point in the season. And if Linn Dunn were counseling on some of these, we wouldn't see them anymore. But they keep appearing 25 games into the season. Calling for Cheryl Miller is coming from people that never listen to the media interviews. She only was offered this two weeks ago...which demonstrates the poor league office of just flying by their pants on so many issues, but when asked she stated her first question was you asking if i want to coach full time? When the answer was no, just for all star game she was happy too. But made it clear she's not interested in a job. And folks that are channels putting info out should not be driving questions as if there is a possibility when there is not. It makes people jump too conclusions and makes everyone look stupid.
I think the fever need to come to a deal for miller to coach the month after the break and next year to see if she can teach hammer head sides how to coach!!! Then when it doesn’t work out Cheryl could continue without sides or try to help hire another coach!!!
Lifelong Hawkeye and Fever Fan here, my family and I have seen Caitlin’s games since Jr. High. And while I agree that Caitlin is exhausted, and some intermittent breaks are necessary, she will adjust and be just fine. There are plenty of other WNBA teams with their players playing consistently at least 32-37 minutes per game. It’s Caitlin’s first season as a pro, she will be just fine she just needs time. And I’m willing to bet there were other factors involved in her decision with the three-point contest and other things. I completely agree about the counterproductive, sabotage coaching of Christie Sides going on in the Indiana Fever organization. The important point that I’d like to make here though, is sadly as much as I’d like to see Christie Sides Replaced, I don’t think it will happen, because on the outside looking in, it appears that general manager Lynn Dunn is in on the whole Sabotaging thing as well, And the Fever GM seems to be in the pocket of the coach and vice versa. I don’t know who the partners and owners of the Fever are but they definitely need to step in unless they are in on it as well. This Fever team is loaded with talent all around and it’s not being utilized. If the Fever ever get a solid reputable coach, while Caitlin and Most of the others are there, The possibilities of this teams success is immeasurable.
The Indiana Fever offense keeps looking better and better. The problem is players. Everyone crying about the coach is going to have egg on their face when Coach Sides is still the coach 3 years from now and Indiana is doing well.
40 minutes a game isn't making Clark tired. It was playing so many games in short amounts of time. When the last several games were finally spaced out, Clark when was on fire averaging 10 assists.
Caitlin will recover and if I was the coach she would be out there 40 minutes in any game that was close.She is in top physical condition and she isn't tired at the end of games.She is wearing out her opponents

Let's talk honestly. I never played on a team. My parents were both star high school players. They both tried to teach me at an early age, but I could never learn how to dribble. Too many left feet. I have watched and studied a lot of basketball. I absolutely cannot abide a static offense at any level. Players just standing around waiting for a pass. Then either immediately throwing up bricks or drbbling around till they lose the ball. Definitely too much me and not enough team.
Clark do need a break she just play NCAA championship 🏆 & only had 1 months off than in may she had to learn the wnba plays in the season start + the draft too

An absolute without a doubt yes on Cheryl Miller. She is after all Pacer royalty by blood. Sides must go. She should be gone already. The entire rotation is wrong. No way Berger should be riding the bench while Wheeler gets any playing tine let alone the playing time she does get. Hull should be used more. Dantes should be played more. Fagbenle when returns should be played more. In fact, Taylor should be brought back immediately. If anyone goes Wallace may be considered for that designation. Consider, since being a starter then was relegated to coming off of the bench and has not played at all since bouncing a lay up off of the bottom of the rim. How much does all that spell out coach's error. The entire offensive concept needs reconfigured. Quit putting the ball into Erica Wheeler's hands. Mitchell has to learn to stop being a black hole. If the coach decides to play CC in every game for full 40, that means 2 things. 1 the coach full believe in her and her skill which shows how valuable she is to the team. And 2, it shows that the team doesn't jave enough good subs. But to blame the coach for the CC's fatigue is a bit too much. Just put your self in her shoes. Will you sub CC during important game just to prevent her fatigue? And if you sub her will you be able to take the backlash from the fans for not playing her? Honestly her choice is very limited. Just let her rest and that is it.

I don't think the WNBA ever considered the power and momentum of the Caitlin Clark Effect and now they have been steamrolled by it. Caitlin Clark is now bigger than the WNBA, and they will have to accede to that. The desperate hope of fans that a coach of the stature of Cheryl Miller will save the league shows that the WNBA has been beaten. Watching the video of Cheryl Miller coaching the All Stars was heartbreaking because it was all so normal. The Orange Carpet video showed a different side to all the stupid talk about lifestyles and conspiracies. Even Dianna Taurasi and Cheryl Reeve looked great in their makeovers. Kudos to them for participating. Let's hope that Miller's competitive spirit will induce her to take the job with Indiana. Why do we like Caitlin Clark? Because she is a basketball genius, another way of saying generational player.

In her interview, when Miller got the call about coaching she said it was an ADAMANT NO...until she was told it was just the MVP job...then she was hyped. Would be cool if she would but she has no interest in coaching for a season anymore.
It’s true she said no but she may change her mind after coaching the all star team and that fire in her is reignited and she decides to give it a go with a team with so much potential and a talent she has never seen the likes of. I hope that could be a reality. Go Fever.

Larry Bird would make an outstanding coach for a couple of years, for sure. He grew up and played in a very diverse environment and has the respect of the various “communities” that provide talent to the WNBA. He’s also no nonsense and wouldn’t put up with detrimental egos for a second. Even though they obviously played different positions and in different eras, the things Clark has in common with Bird is outstanding court vision and self-confidence. As a rookie, Bird was not intimidated by the NBA and Clark demonstrates the same strength.

I've seen coaches that were completely incompetent, and some that were total jerks(totally unlikeable), but Christie Sides is the first I've seen that are both of these combined....Sides MUST be fired. Case Closed.
Not only is Sides overworking CC on the court with making her play for almost the whole duration of games, she's piled intensive weight-training on top of it to bulk CC up with more muscle. The weight-training and constantly increasing strength has screwed up the accuracy of CC's distance shooting. Once she gets to whatever 'fighting weight' Sides wants her at, CC is going to have to re-tune her shooting to get her accuracy back. Whereas I agree with Sides wanting more muscle on CC to make her be able to handle opponents who get physical against her, I think the best time for that to be going on is after the season is over. Miller would have enough sense to not tamper with what's working during a season and make changes after the season ends.

The Fever had No Coaching or Leadership in the first quarter of the season. But in the second quarter Clark stepped up as a Team Leader which is the sole reason for the teams strong improvement. Clark is not only carrying the team on her back in game play. She is also carrying them in Leadership with No Help From Their Worthless Coach.
All this analysis drives me crazy…. About 3 weeks ago this same channel was complaining about Sides sitting Caitlyn during a stretch of a game.
Miller was one of the best players of all time I think she would be a great coach for the Fever

I agree not only Christy needs too go, but people need to realize Lin Dunn is the enabler and not communicating with Sides what we all see as glaring coaching issues. How do i know that? Two ways. First is recent interviews she done says Caitlin needs to fit the system. Instead of creating a system that plays to players strengths. Some of it is easy. Like having more single and double screens with players diving or cutting to the basket. A continuous motion offense, not the stand in your spot waiting for a pass. Or how about not sending Caitlin as the 2 guard, set her in the corner, never running plays for her and her never touching the ball for 4 minuet stretches. Or we could never see Erica Wheeler and Kelsi Mitchell both on the floor while Caitlin is. Her waiting to call timeouts when the opponent goes on runs over 10. or how about plays designed for Aliah and Caitlin when at the end of the game in critical scoring situations....DUH! When defense, they always play the same defense. She is supposed to be a defensive coach. it's poor coaching and imagination that the D is not better at this point in the season. And if Linn Dunn were counseling on some of these, we wouldn't see them anymore. But they keep appearing 25 games into the season. Calling for Cheryl Miller is coming from people that never listen to the media interviews. She only was offered this two weeks ago...which demonstrates the poor league office of just flying by their pants on so many issues, but when asked she stated her first question was you asking if i want to coach full time? When the answer was no, just for all star game she was happy too. But made it clear she's not interested in a job. And folks that are channels putting info out should not be driving questions as if there is a possibility when there is not. It makes people jump too conclusions and makes everyone look stupid.
I think the fever need to come to a deal for miller to coach the month after the break and next year to see if she can teach hammer head sides how to coach!!! Then when it doesn’t work out Cheryl could continue without sides or try to help hire another coach!!!
Lifelong Hawkeye and Fever Fan here, my family and I have seen Caitlin’s games since Jr. High. And while I agree that Caitlin is exhausted, and some intermittent breaks are necessary, she will adjust and be just fine. There are plenty of other WNBA teams with their players playing consistently at least 32-37 minutes per game. It’s Caitlin’s first season as a pro, she will be just fine she just needs time. And I’m willing to bet there were other factors involved in her decision with the three-point contest and other things.
I completely agree about the counterproductive, sabotage coaching of Christie Sides going on in the Indiana Fever organization. The important point that I’d like to make here though, is sadly as much as I’d like to see Christie Sides Replaced, I don’t think it will happen, because on the outside looking in, it appears that general manager Lynn Dunn is in on the whole Sabotaging thing as well, And the Fever GM seems to be in the pocket of the coach and vice versa. I don’t know who the partners and owners of the Fever are but they definitely need to step in unless they are in on it as well. This Fever team is loaded with talent all around and it’s not being utilized. If the Fever ever get a solid reputable coach, while Caitlin and Most of the others are there, The possibilities of this teams success is immeasurable.

40 minutes a game isn't making Clark tired. It was playing so many games in short amounts of time. When the last several games were finally spaced out, Clark when was on fire averaging 10 assists.
Caitlin will recover and if I was the coach she would be out there 40 minutes in any game that was close.She is in top physical condition and she isn't tired at the end of games.She is wearing out her opponents

Let's talk honestly. I never played on a team. My parents were both star high school players. They both tried to teach me at an early age, but I could never learn how to dribble. Too many left feet.
I have watched and studied a lot of basketball. I absolutely cannot abide a static offense at any level. Players just standing around waiting for a pass. Then either immediately throwing up bricks or drbbling around till they lose the ball. Definitely too much me and not enough team.
I could see CC being very fatigued in the last two games she played in, and at All Star Game it was absolutely a definite problem, she was worn down.

An absolute without a doubt yes on Cheryl Miller. She is after all Pacer royalty by blood. Sides must go. She should be gone already. The entire rotation is wrong. No way Berger should be riding the bench while Wheeler gets any playing tine let alone the playing time she does get. Hull should be used more. Dantes should be played more. Fagbenle when returns should be played more. In fact, Taylor should be brought back immediately. If anyone goes Wallace may be considered for that designation. Consider, since being a starter then was relegated to coming off of the bench and has not played at all since bouncing a lay up off of the bottom of the rim. How much does all that spell out coach's error. The entire offensive concept needs reconfigured. Quit putting the ball into Erica Wheeler's hands. Mitchell has to learn to stop being a black hole. Let the game come. It will. If you've learned anything at all this season, you should know Clark will create and will find you. There is so much more one could go on for a very log time.

If the coach decides to play CC in every game for full 40, that means 2 things. 1 the coach full believe in her and her skill which shows how valuable she is to the team. And 2, it shows that the team doesn't jave enough good subs.
But to blame the coach for the CC's fatigue is a bit too much. Just put your self in her shoes. Will you sub CC during important game just to prevent her fatigue? And if you sub her will you be able to take the backlash from the fans for not playing her? Honestly her choice is very limited.
