(This is not the recipe used in the video but is one that I love. Our regular line of soaps do not contain palm oil. If you you want a palm free recipe, play around with adding more butters and/or olive oil.)
30% Lye Concentration
6% Super Fat
40% Olive Oil
20% Coconut Oil
10% Palm Oil (I look for Palm that is certified by Palm Done Right)
10% Rice Bran Oil
10% Castor Oil
10% Cocoa Butter
1tsp ppo* Sodium Lactate
*Per Pound of Oil
I soap at room temperature - which means the oils and the lye solution are in the 65-75 degree range.
Missouri River Soap is not responsible for any outcome that results from testing this recipe. Follow all safety precautions when handling sodium hydroxide and making cold process soap.

You can barely hear the air conditioner, if you didnât say it was on I would never noticed. Stay cool, thanks for the new video.
That's great! Thank you! It always seems so loud when I edit.
Always a treat when a new vid of yours goes up!
Yay! Thank you so much!
I have absolutely no intention of making soap but I could watch your videos for days. You make me feel so calm. Youâre so precious.
Thank you Rhiana! I appreciate that!
My daughter and I both agree these colors and the design resembles watercolor paintings. Love it!

Love watching and listening to you Holly! I started making soap earlier this year. So far, have just given bars to family and friends. So far, my favorite is in the pot swirl. Yours are so pretty. Thank you for all you have taken your time to do for us on this channel. Hope you get that cabin built!
Awe thanks so much! I'm glad you having fun making soap!
Kinda love it with the orange tbh
It really did look quite nice that way.
Love it !!!!!
LOVE, LOVE LOVE your soaps! They are always so pretty!
Thank you Shalon!
Itâs stunning.
This turned out really pretty! And the discoloration just looks like you put in a pastel yellow along with your other colors so it works perfectly, I think. Have you ever made a video showing what you do with your end cuts? I'd love to see how you use those up.
Thank you! The end cuts go out as samples. I put them in a small bag and seal with a label.
Hi Holly, this design gives me a beach vibe.
Pineapple with jasmine should give somewhat a tropical scent

Hi Holly, I hope you and the family are well, thank you for another lovely video! You are a true artist. Have a great week đ
Thank you!
Amazing, I never tried that combination, sounds delightful
Thank you!
Always beautiful! You soap meticulously. Even when you think you have a mess and I get the stress (Or rather I can't image batches as large as you tackle effortlessly), I can only imagine the preplanning you do. Your tips are so very helpful. You are inspiring, I really like you mentioning how many years you have been soaping to master your craft. That's a bit reassuring. I think the challenge of science & art in soapmaking and perhaps the unexpected results from the many variables peaks my interest. Inspires me! My young granddaughters love your Rainbow soaps and can watch them over and over!. THANK YOU!
im so amped for the release, and all the vids you post of the products for it keeps making me want to add more to my list of things to buyđ like omg cant wait to get ahold of them!!

Bello !!
So glad to see you posting a video. I had to find the perfect spot and time, (no kids around i.e. moms quiet moment) to watch this!!!! Thank you for posting another great vid!!! Glad to see you back after a little while.
Beautiful đ
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos!
@@moriversoap very much!!!!! I had to follow you on Instagram just to keep up with the latest. Lol
Thanks, Sylvia
It would have been funny to have a little sticker under the pot so when we look at the bottom we could have a little laugh!
That would be funny for sure!
Those giant pots need a spout...hmm. maybe I just invented something!!
Yes they do! I bet there is something out there. I should look it up.
I received mine just a few days ago and this one is very pretty but yes it's more Jasmine than Pineapple. The yellow came out with a mottled look that it actually "looks" just like pineapple! Such a lovely soap!
Awe that's wonderful. Thank you Nancy!
When I see this soap it makes me think of the Caribbean
That's awesome! Thank you!
Hi I just wanted to say how much I enjoy watching your vidoes. Your son sounds a lot like mine, He's 14 and has always known proper perfortions, what looks perfect, and he's helped me so much to define my style. Thanks for the videoes. Keep up the good work Girl!
Thank you bunches!
Hey Holly! This is Wesley from Brazil. Sent you a message a couple weeks ago about how to purchase internationally. Amazing soap by the way! So vibrant. đ€©đ€©đ€©đ€©
Thank you Wes! I would have told you that I replied...but I checked and I did not. I'm sorry about that. Your message got moved to my completed folder even though it was not. Oops. I've moved it back to my inbox and will do some checking around on pricing and such.
@@moriversoap you're amazing Holly!
Very nice
Thank you Karen!

đ nice artwork đ
ps... call it jazzapple
Thank you!
you are welcome
Just a heads up! I looked up Smith Creek Studio and got a Spy threat worning.
OH gosh I wonder what's up with that?! I bought it via their Etsy shop but it doesn't seem to be listed there anymore. I am not sure if they offer it occasionally or not.
Amazing soap!! đđđ I' m in love with the colors!! Did u discount the amount of coconut milk from the lye solution? Or just put it in the formula like an additive? and how much milk can I add?? I've never used coconut milk in my soaps, and I would like to try after I watched this vid! Thanks a lot for share! đđ
Thank you! I do subtract it from the water that I mix the lye solution with. I really don't use a lot because coconut milk can accelerate a batch. I usually use around 1.5-2% of the batch oil amount.
Great tutorial thank You. Where can I get the soap cutter??
Thanks for watching! My soap cutter is from Bud's Wood Shop on Etsy. Be sure to check out the video description for this information and more.
So pretty, I just watched the peach poppy video. What type of wood do you use to make your molds? And do you treat the wood with a wax or something or leave raw?.. can you lower your table, does it have adjustable legs?
I am not quite sure what my husband uses to build them but I pretty sure they are untreated. I would ask him but he's on the road and I can't text him today. My table doesn't have adjustable legs.
What stick blender do you use ? I like the extra long shaft.
It's a Kitchen Aid and can be hard to find. There is a link for Amazon in the description.
you may or may have not explained before, but whats the size of your mold? looks great!
Thanks! This is one of my smaller molds. It's 14 x 18.
Hi Holly!! Question for ya. Do you use water or oil with your titanium dioxide?
Hello Corine! I use water but you have to know which version you buy.
Cuanto utilizas de agua y de Ly?
I tend to use a 30% lye concentration.
Hi Holly. Forgive me if I missed this but what % of your total base do you save for the pot as you are breaking out your colors? Is it half base, half colors? Thanks. I'm going to try my first ITPS soon!
Hello Dennis. I do it different every single time so I don't remember exactly what I did here.
@@moriversoap Thanks for your reply. Take care.
Holly, at what thickness do you cut your soap?
I cut at 1.25 inches.
This soap should be calles ocean spray because it reminds me of the beach in the carribean
That's awesome!
@@moriversoap now everytime I see a video of your I'm going to name the soap lol đ
Do you use coconut in all of your soaps? I want to try some buy can't do coconut
I do use coconut in all of my soaps. I messed around with a coconut-free recipe but I didn't care for it. My biggest concern really is that I do have coconut around and use it a lot so I feel the likelihood of crossing the ingredients is too high.
What palm oil and rice bran oil can be replaced with?
I would look at tallow as being a palm oil replacement. For rice bran oil, you can usually replace with olive or avocado. Make sure that you run everything through a lye calculator to make sure you not only get the right amounts but the numbers you are looking for in your batch.
@@moriversoap I do not use palm oil.
The more "wonky" you are...the better!
Thanks! I am definitely wonky! LOL
Short girls unite!
YES!
Do you ship to Antigua lol
90s tacobell vibes
Ooooh funny!
Aloha Holly, would you mind sharing the names of the colors you used and where they were sourced - they are just stunning đŽđșđŽ
Thank you! I am not sure what I used at this point without digging through my pile of notes from last year.
12th. đ„đ»đșđčđâ„ïžđđâŁïž
đ
a little surprised you don't swirl the top of the soap--
I do a lot of splatter tops. I love them and so do many of my customers. I get a wild hair to swirl every now and again and usually just mess it up. LOL
The AC can hardly be heard and don't risk your safety by letting it get too hot just to film.
Thanks! Yeah, I've gotten overheated before up there. It is amazing how quickly it gets stuffy.
I love it so pretty, I love how yummy your soaps make my skin feel. Thank you, Holly
That's wonderful! Thank you Pam!
Beautiful
Thank you Karen!
