Falcons need to do more work on their ground play and be more solid on the ball, US, Sweden, Brazil & Spain are really good teams to watch out for, they made some defensive mistakes that those teams will take advantage of. Any it was a good win but they can be better. I wish the falcon well

  • @davidphilip8824

Nice one from Super Falcons. Improvement is still needed in defence. Ebi should stop doing close back passes to avoid goals from Error when the world cup commences. Midfield also needs to be more concrete. Using the wings to create counter attacks is good but when the opponents have a stronger defense on their wings, it may not yield results.

NZ pressure improved in the last 15 minutes of the game. They don't have a strong enough Football base with a smaller population. It will be hard for them to get out of their group on this their momentous occasion of hosting the World Cup
I hope they can spread the game to other communities more even the immigrants and and indigenous Maori.
I am sure they can convince the rugby ladies to lace up for footie if the pay is right. We all know how dominate and tough the Kiwis are in rugger.
Also learn from Australia...Fijians are also a Country that can turn their physicality and speed into awesome football if the Foot ball Association manage to generate interest for more players.

I have been watching the current NWFL season also recently Bayelsa Queens in last year's CAF Champions League and no striker is half the level of Oshoala or even Oparanozie. They have long way to go. The best local striker last season Gift Monday is already in this team & came on in the 2nd half. She is now based in Spain. Abeg talk wetin yon know not just anyhow. Yes, there are good local players but they lack exposure and the best ones are being transferred to Europe on almost a monthly basis. From the U20's Abiodun is on her way to the US, Demehin & Imoran have moved to France just last year (they both played 90 mins in this game). Please check your facts before posting.

Where are our defensive players; there appears to be only one with the goal keeper; we must stack the goalmouth ! why do we allow their offensive players to attack our half without any of ours putting in MAX effort to stop them. I would prefer us to boot the ball at their goal with max effort when within 15 - 20m of the goal; might score but there's the chance of rebounds; seems better than the dribbly attempts from headers or off balance kicks at goal; quite often their buildup is great only to be ruined by an intercepted pass. it's soul destroying to watch but good luck anyway.

With women's football there's a pretty clear feedback loop: when people shit on it, there's little interest and support, fewer resources go into it, fewer girls get involved as kids and the quality stays low. However the opposite is also true, just look at what has happened at Barcelona over the last few years. That's why it's often more engaging than the top levels of men's football: the league itself is an underdog, and every year they build more profile, the standard of play rises to match it. Most teams have loads of local, homegrown players, and it's not just a bunch of oligarchs having a dick swinging contest with blood money (yet, it's probably coming).

This highlight is only 10 mins long and I'm having a hard time getting through it. That's how freaking boring 65% of women's soccer is. No fans, terrible commentary, and bad camera angles. Imagine watching City vs Southampton highlights and then having to watch this?

@NewZealandFootball Are you going to do anything about the slew of sexist and abusive comments that keep appearing in response to your videos? It's upsetting for fans, particularly female fans, to keep reading these remarks over and over again. Even on this video, somebody has taken the time to tell us all 'how trash' women's football is. I'm thinking about unsubscribing soon just to get away from it, as it's really depressing to read.

Besides it’s only words. People are entitled to say them even if they hurt your feeling and/or are stupid.
