Sharon Tate was such a stunningly beautiful woman and it is absolutely tragic what happened to her and her unborn child and her friends. In her own home.
I read SOMEWHERE that Sharon and Roman initially received a retiree's cake by accident, which added to the light-hearted vibe of the reception.

It's hard to believe that she would be almost 80 years old today, and her unborn son would be 52, time marches on with or without us, it is quite relentless. Her younger sister recently auctioned off much of her clothing and personal items, including her wedding dress seen in this clip; that in itself is sort of sad.

She had a life here in England for a while during the 1960's and made films here. She was interviewed around Carnaby Street in London [on YT], married, RP on 20th Jan 1968 at Royal Kensington Offices for civil marriages [here plus another one on YT] and lived with RP at a Mews house of Eaton Square in London for a while. Sad it's only the American ST we always hear about - I aim to go and see the Royal Kensington Offices one day !!!!!

How ironic is it that Candice Bergen was actually in attendance at their wedding. Remember... at that very time in her life, she and her boyfriend (Terry Melcher) was living at 10050 Cielo Dr. Only a year and a 1/2 later, that would prove to be the site of the infamous Tate murders!
The only reason Manson ordered the murders at that location was because he wanted revenge on Terry Melcher (a prominent music producer) for not offering him a contract. Very eery indeed.

Polanski married the much younger Emmanuelle on August 30, 1989....21 days after the 20th anniversary of Sharon's death.
His first child was born on what wouldve been he and Sharon's 25th wedding anniversary, January 20, 1993.

Candace Bergen..... She & her boyfriend Terry Melcher (only son of Doris Day) had been living in the house where Sharon was killed. Mr Melcher knew C. Manson. The latter was terribly angry with the former for business reasons.
Sharon Tate should be remembered as a beautiful woman and a great actress. She should only be remembered as a murdered victim of the Manson family. She deserves more than that. R.I.P Sharon Tate.

@Melanie Jarrett I would say he lives with some sorrow, like anybody who loses a loved one would, Roman Polanski is one the most complex personalities that came out of the entertainment industry, remember he did the Macbeth movie right after her death, and expressed his feelings of death through that film, it had some gruesome death scenes, it's tough to define a person like him

I think alot of people want to blame Roman instead of the Manson family who took her life and felt nothing. As she begged for the baby's life.

As an 11 year-old schoolboy back then, it was the Beatles connection (I had recently 'discovered' them a couple of years before that and had fallen hard!) had piqued my curiosity and after watching the premiere of the television film, Helter Skelter, I became 'hooked', for lack of a better word. I read Bugliosi's book shortly thereafter and eventually, The Family. So yeah, I'm definitely not a 'newbie' (I still haven't bothered to watch the Once Upon A Time film, but that's me for you). Thank-you for the heads-up on the new documentary-to be totally honest, I wasn't aware of it. I will definitely watch it!
