    *** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
    Our journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. We didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... we did it because we had to. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land and that out of friends and family. The vast majority of hunting stories that you hear about on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for us...
    __________________________________________________
    *** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
    Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! We hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of our friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

    Hans, here's a question you might can answer, since you have them in-hand... Will the AGM-2111 ADM QD mount from the V1 fit on the V2 units? I really like the 2 clamp QD mount for bolt-actions, it feels more secure to me with more purchase on the pic rail. I have a V1 Rattler TS50-640 Long Range, and it has the 2 clamp mount from the factory. I am wanting to add a new V2 unit to my lineup, and want to know if the same AGM-2111 2-clamp QD mount from the V1 units will fit on the V2 units? Thanks in advance.

      You might not have the qd set tight enough to the rail. Try moving the tensioning nut down one or two more spaces. You want that thing locked on there tight. What torque spec did you run when mounting the scope to the base? I don’t think that was included in the manual. I think I went with 18 in lbs. Also, when you get it sighted in don’t take it off the gun. I’ve had issues with it holding zero after removing the scope and putting it back on the same location on the rail.

    It has been great. I detect before buddy with pulsar. I also kill to 350yds
    I use an external battery that I got from outdoor legacy. I can hunt forever (20 plus hours continuous and recording) and external is still half a charge
    I bring in my bag with supplies cr batteries in case of an issue but never use
    I have a rangefinder on gun side from Fall River. It works, but at this point I can tell by cross hair on reticle 4 distance by number of dashes
    I have killed 66 coyotes since I have got it
    I only put cr batteries in when I download videos to computer. Helps it pop up on E drive

    I get that you guys want to push the higher end sensor versions for sales/ money, but man it would be nice if one channel would show the image quality of the 256 sensor models, considering thats what 90% of the vieweing audience can afford!! Every channle wants to push the the higher end sensor, unfortunately in Bidens economy they're far out of reach for most!! Please show the V2 TS19-256 or V2 Ts25-256

    • @HansETX
      @HansETX  Před 5 měsíci +2

      I appreciate you watching and I understand what you are saying, but this video is not about the higher sensor version of the rattler. These are the 384 resolution units, not the V2 640’s which are considered higher resolution and start at $4k. 90% of the night hunting market is definitely not buying 256 resolution optics, the vast majority are buying 384. Quality thermal scopes for night hunting start at almost $2k and the rattler 384 V2’s are considered entry level thermal optics. This video has nothing to do with trying to push expensive scopes, all things considered these scopes are considered on the more budget friendly side of the spectrum. Here is my quick review of the 256 stuff, honestly, I wouldn’t use it to hunt past 100 yards. If all your shots are under 100 yards then it’s probably fine. I saved you from having to watch a long boring review video 😂. Thanks for watching!

      @ConditionZero76 Před 5 měsíci

      @HansETX I will add tho, that while I completely understand the different version of sensors and the 384 being prob the best middle ground view for the dollar. Theirs thousands of videos all over the internet and CZcams with guys usuing 160x120 sensor thermals hunting everywhere and far beyond a 100 yards. And if you look around and try to find a deal on a 256x192 scope any brand, it's sold out far more often than the 384 or 640s and for good reason. It's out of reach for a good portion of society... but I understand your point and appreciate you getting back...💯👍🏼

      @@ConditionZero76 we work will all of the major thermal brands (pulsar, AGM, rix, infiray, Bering optics, and nvision) except ATN and none of them sell a 160 resolution scope. AGM sells a 160 monocular and most people that buy it end up returning it because they hoped it would be better than it actually is. The only 160 resolution scope that I know of is the ATN Thor LT. If the majority of the market wants 160 and 256, why wouldn’t all of these other companies be mass producing them like crazy? A couple of these companies make 256 stuff but it’s not near as popular for hunters as their 384 scopes. I say this as someone who’s done this for almost 10 years and I talk to 30-50 customers on the phone everyday Monday through Friday. I’m not trying to talk to you into buying a more expensive scope. You should buy whatever your budget allows…
