  • New GIGA Coaster On Ride POV Animation. Knotts Berry Farm has long had rumors of a GIGA roller coaster coming to the California theme park. The unofficial proposal has been made and the amusement park just could get what roller coaster fans have always wanted. A ride that rivals FURY 325 at Carowinds, the Knotts Berry Farm Giga Coaster will come in just over 7,000 feet long, & an insane 100mph is obtainable (the only coaster to ever achieve the feat with a lift hill.) #KnottsBerryFarm #RollerCoaster #POV
Created with NoLimits 2, this particular ride is based on exact sea-level heights from documents proposing the new attraction that now is said will never open. It follows the layout using Google Maps as a measurement to obtain an accurate scale.
The ride is located in the parking lot, with a new parking garage structure to be built near the Knotts Hotel. The ride goes over the entrance road of both the theme park parking at the hotel parking and creates quite the sight from miles away.

Makes sense that this ride has a few more airtime moments than the other gigas since this is the only park that doesn't have a B&M Hyper before. And the only ride that delivers solid airtime is ghost rider, you can't compare that to a B&Ms airtime.

I feel like the only thing Fury will have on this ride in regards to enthusiasts is that Fury seems to have a lot of low to the ground speed elements that just make you feel like you're flying through the track. This one is a bit more of an out and back hill type hyper feel to it with elements that have been enlarged. Not a complaint at all, and I would be stoked if this came to Knott's, just an observation based on the two layouts.

Knotts is a very landlocked park and has residential neighborhoods and businesses literally right across the street. They could complain for it being an "eyesore" but just look at their existing B&M Silver Bullet, that ride is super smooth and quiet. I don't think noise would be the issue with this ride and they can always put a tunnel over certain spots like they've done with several of their coasters already. The thing is though, when the neighbors moved in there, they KNEW they were moving in next to a theme park and all that entails. The city of Buena Park I think might actually approve this because a ride like this would bring in many more visitors and tax dollars.

The park existed way before any homes were even built. IDK if residents of Buena Park have opposed Knotts before, but a few miles south, residents of Anaheim do constantly oppose Disneyland building anything 😂
Disneyland basically made Anaheim; Anaheim would be a shit LA suburb without Disneyland, yet the shortsighted, close-minded, lame-ass Anaheim residents dare oppose the very thing that gives their homes any value. My point is, what do people expect when they move next to a theme park, knowing very well a theme park attracts crowds 😂 it’s not like they didn’t know there was a park right there. If they don’t want noise, why do they even consider moving close to a theme park… specially when the park has been standing way before they had moved in. I could understand it if suddenly a theme park was built right next door, where there was nothing before… but in Knott’s case (or Disneyland for that matter), it’s beyond dumb when the residents oppose any development. Be grateful those parks give your city any sort of value…. Or would they rather live in a quite dump?

While I'm still unsure if its even possible for knotts to get approval (hard to satisfy noise regulations with the rumored plan), I do wonder if they could continue with the idea of turning the southwest surface lots into parking structures and then develop the surface lots that are between Beach and Stanton just north of the waterpark. So much more land and its further from areas that they would need to introduce noise mitigation.
