- I got this flashlight from Japan recycle shop only $2 without a battery. It is hard for me to find the flashlight bulb, and it's battery. I decided to modify this flashlight by replacing the bulb by LED and 1.4.4V battery by 18V Battery.
Original Bulb
14.4V 0.8A
New LED
12V-80V 0.4A
I hope you find this video useful and enjoy it!
I am happy to receive feedback, suggestions to improve myself.
!!! I'm sorry for the mistake if I did in this video !!!
Thank you very much for your likes, comments, and subscription!
Have a nice day

I was waiting for you impatiently, I love the maintenance of old lighting devices
Nice!...I've done some similar conversions using 12v MR16 LED track light bulbs which work good with 18V batteries. My advice is drill some holes in the housing for cooling. The light will work just fine for short periods, but if you have it on continuously for more than a half hour without cooling holes most likely the LED will burnout.
Certainly much brighter, than original I have. Good job and clear presentation. Thanks!
That's a great retrofit of the flashlight. It now has second life. But how much heat does it generate? The bulbs have a very big heatsink which you put inside case with no airflow... premature burnout of the LEDs then...
He removed the heatspreader completely before mounting the LEDs inside the enclosure. Don't think this will be able to stay on for too long without getting too hot
Easy - 18v x 0,4a = 7.2watt. LEDs are mounted on a huge aluminium radiator. I think, it will spread heat easily. And of course, we have to keep in mind that there is some driver inside, and its productivity less than 100%. I suspect it does not produce any serious heat at all.
@@user-ip2ou2ks3j If what you say is true, then why did it have a big heat sink to begin with? Over engineered? Not likely...
@@gusser2121 the original bulb was incandescent, you can see the burnt out filaments when he removed the old parts. Incandescent bulbs generate a lot more heat than an LED bulb
i love gear show
Great job, thank you brother. You are so talented
Exelente cambio a luces led.. Felicidades, buen video
Nice work
I'm a Huge fan of your work, I love the way you present your restoration and it means a lot to us when we are in need of such DIY restorations.
My only request is to see you restoring a Table Fan and making it run with 12v Bosch powertool Battery and an 895 DC motor, so that it could serve as an emergency fan in times of power outages who's is very important for fathers of small babies like me
always see

Gear Show👍
You clever boy nice upgrade your getting to good at this lol great posting :-)
Good work brother
Of the battery brands you use, which are the best?
10 out of 10 very nice
Nice bro
If you take off the magnification lens of the led light you will end up with a wider better light beam ...my dad has similar led lights in his ceiling 4leds with magnification glass in front of them and some it fell off and we noticed that the light beam was much wider :-)
Removing the heatspreader from the LEDs and putting them in an enclosed space, big oof.
The plastic cover can melt down?
@@rodianwae4239 It's pretty thick plastic so I dont think it would melt right away. But the diodes burn out really quickly without sufficient cooling and the LED drivers certainly don't like excessive heat either. There is a reason why high powered LEDs come with enormous heatspreaders. I don't think this flashlight would survive an hour of constant use.
It’s all for show anyway. You think he uses all these flashlights he fixes up? Lol
@@adeebmomen4541 this is meaningless retrofit
Well, they sure are useful @ 80V but at 19V? Sure, its a bonus, but….
Nice Gear Show I Like To See You Fix :D
Hello, great restoration! please an information: I would attempt a similar projects myself, but can't find led projector-bulb. Could you please link me the ones you use in this and other similar projects? Thanks a lot for the help! You're good, keep going!
Nice
That LED assembly looks like a ceiling light fitting. Is that what it is?
Why not use the original Hilti battery pack?
Hilti original 14.4v. Sir

You can watch Mr dharoniya on CZcams
He already done it
Yes
Where do you find a LED bulb like that? excellent job. I have a couple flashlights like that one14.4 and the other 15.6 ni-cad. However even with a full charged battery, it is NOT that bright!
That's the question I think he bought it from Ali express kind of online stores but the delivery time of those items
Mantappppp
Good hit🇮🇳👍👍 Kuki
Can you provide the link for buying this led diode please?, thanks!
What’s the stuff u used to clean the plastic lens?
Looked like the metal polish that comes with a Dremel. You’d find its correct name if you google it
I was wondering the same
We have the exact same torch but the bulb needs replacing. Local shops can’t help. Does anyone know how we could get a replacement.
Valeu Gear Show!
are you selling those stuff after modifications?
👍👍👍
@gear show can u please share the links for the led and battery pack
Hello, what is the name of this white powder ?

我怀疑你的配件都是在淘宝买的
Where does he get all the things he repairs ????
So only the bulb was gone and it was dusty?
Why does the LED lamp head have 3 wires?

Gho and construction of the world
عالی....
What is the purpose of rotating thing, in which bulb was installed&
In the original configuration the bulb in the center of the reflector could be moved in or out to focus or widen the beam, which was useful. Now it is only max power all the time until the plastic melts.
Can you build a cordless die grinder please ? 😁
He did czcams.com/video/JEgT-pZtnAU/video.html
very good
With that battery, it could durable for a thousand years..
LEDにかなり大きな放熱器が付いてましたが、長時間点灯していた場合、放熱は間に合うんでしょうかね?

You have got a lot of use out of that Makita screw driver in the last 20 months. You might end up have to refurb it again down the road.

Honestly not your best work. You could go online and find a battery for that Hilti and modded it. Thank you for the videos!
Pudiste haber pintado los tornillos de negro o pavonarlos, y otra opcion seria haberle puesto una bateria hilti original.
