Fuck yea! âđŸđâđŸ
Yes
I want the N! I drive a 2020 Veloster Premium and I love it, but moh powah is what it needs.
bought a Stinger already and FWD is a massive turn off for me. But dear god all it needs is AWD and it's a perfect rally hatch that I'd heavily consider
Naw.
Iâve got an N and let me tell you, the smiles per gallon are off the charts
manual or dct? and whats your mpg?
@@flamer3869
Mine is manual, and I get 22 average (with a good amount of hooning). 30 65-70 mph highway.
Same, I have a 2019 I got a bit over a year ago. Decided to test drive for fun, and ended up leaving with it.
Scott Myers I follow you bro your build one the reasons I'm buying an N
Another N owner and I can agree with this!
âSo you want a 2nd gen Lexus ISâ
When Alex said he thought Hyundai was just a fancy honda because of the curvey âHâ as a kid, i felt that
Iâm still dumbfounded that this hasnât been made yet. The 2nd gen is; an under appreciated gem.
@@andrewarevalo9699 itâs gonna happen one day đ„Č
It doesnât help that as a kid, Hyundai sounded like Honda. H-(vowel)-nd-(vowel)
I stopped taking my exam to watch this one, don't worry it's on a unlimited timer #velostergang
me too bro haha
proud owner of a 2021 N in DCT.. this thing is a neck breaker.. BTW! u guys forgot to mention the active Exhaust!!!! pops & crackles!!!! on stock
Too bad you got a dct. What a waste
@@eternallogic6394 aw u sound so butt-hurt.. like its ur say wtf I drive
I test drove a DCT a couple weeks ago and was disappointed to find the exhaust wasnât as aggressive sounding as the 2019 manual I drove the week before. I had the both in N mode and although the automatic still sounded good, it didnât seem to have the bangs and pops that the manual did. Iâm wondering if it was just that car or cuz it was brand new or something? Does your exhaust do the bangs and pops?? Love the car. :)
@@nolanspeller283 I noticed that too, the dct is noticeable quieter and doesn't seem to have the crackle's and bangs. I think the guy from Ridline Review commented on it , in his review.
lucky
who remembers when they were trying to hit 100k before sema
A true OG đ€
Veloster N is the best hyundai out there right now. Just got mine back in december and its been nothing but fun, smiles, and lots of gas. Truly a driver enthusiast type of car. Love how the stock exhaust notes are so much louder than any other hot hatch. Probably gonna have this car for the rest of my life
Did you go manual or DCT? đ
@@matthewolson9704 MT. đ
That car will not last that long.
@@justinhampton1016 yeah it will lmao
This aged like an avocado
Fun fact: the dct Veloster N is the second quickest fwd car ever (0-60 in 4.8s according to C&D), directly behind the Mini Cooper JCW
I think the Veloster N is where Hyundai is finally getting it right like a car I would get excited for
Yes there's still room for improvement but they're on the right path
Itâs an even better car than you think. Test drive one and you will understand what I mean
The g70 is the right car
@@K03dUr1p0dplz na
They got it right in so many ways. The DCT is brilliant. âĄ
The tiburon was the OG first good step they made. Gen coupe was a massive leap, veloster was another decent leap, but the n series was the landing that started it all.
I need to trade up my Turbo for the N. Love these cars.
I own a 13â turbo and do I ever wish I had the N, I do personally like the 1st gen looks more though.
My wife won't let me trade up my 2020 Turbo for a DCT N...
Same here. The turbo is fun as hell, but leaves a little to be desired in the pickup area. I feel like the N would address that.
@@ZincsWRLD same here I have a 2016 and love the look
@@piccolorick9269 That or some mods to the Turbo model that would help with that. I've already started modding my Turbo. Intake and Muffler delete have already been done on mine. Working on getting a JB4, new straight midpipe, stuffed turbo, and a few other performance related things.
Alternate Title : *So you want the Koreanâs finest Popcorn machine*
Jk I love the veloster n and especially itâs exhaust note.
The simple fact that it's STOCK exhaust sounds better than most aftermarket ones alone should be a major selling point. AND the fact that it has variable control. SMH them Koreans gettin rowdy with it. XD
Veloster N is also one of the few cars that does not have rev hang âFrom factoryâ
GTI /Golf R which is the main competitor also does not.
As someone who has owned a Veloster N for 3 years and counting now, I absolutely LOVE this car. This car genuinely welds a smile to your face
I am not really a car guy. My wife is going to buy me a car within the next 4 or 5 months. I was looking at a few today. And none were really standing out. I am not a fan of hatchbacks. I have seen the veloster before and thought it was pretty ugly. Was on a lot and the guy opened the door to the veloster. I sat inside and I said "ooh...this is actually kind of nice. He asked me if I wanted to test drive it....I said no. After sitting in it for 5 more minutes, I changed my mind and wanted to try it. Started driving on the road and said "This is really nice actually, I like it". I then asked if I could put it in N mode and the car went from 0-50 in Holy F#@*!
I have never had this kind of fun driving or even riding in any car. And my buddy has a highly modified Evo.
Trying to talk the wife into this sooner is going to be tricky.
I'm glad you guys used footage from their TCR teams in the intro. Since entered TCR a few years ago they've been dominating their class, even with the cars being underpowered against the Type R
Ayyy I made the video with my N! Iâm rared jucci (Jared Rucci). For anyone considering this car as a next car, itâs great. It is, however, a very driver focused sports car. For a car person looking for a fun, fast, unique car that will always put a smile on your face, this is the car. Love my car.
Didn't even realize this came out today until I finished the video... BUT WE NEED MORE HOONDAI LOVEEE
F in chat guys. My car has been used in two FI video thumbnails. This Sunday on mothers day it was totaled do to a distracted driver. One day sheâll come back!!
Sorry to hear that fam! Hopefully you can get a new one soon!

F my man, sorry to hear the news. Thoughts of a return?
came back to this video after owning my N for 6 months, i donât think i made a better choice, love every moment driving this car
Iâve owned my 2021 Veloster N with DCT since January. This thing is just pure fun!! It has turned into a daily driver.
I am loving the growing scene of kdm cars. I honestly think kia and Hyundai could respark the affordable sport sedan and hothatch segment
I just bought this car 2 weeks ago and I gotta say it's the funnest car I've ever owned. Super quick too.
This is the exact video i was looking for! I just started looking at buying a new Veloster N but didnt really know what to expect until now, thank you for your time đ
Two of my buddies picked up one recently and man, the turbo sounds plus the stock exhaust on it is amazing.
Funny, very little negatives were mentioned... Also, idk why Alex was comparing it to the GTi, since a stock N is equivalent to nearly an FBO Stage 2+~3+ GTi... Like it's on-par with the Type-R, with modifications on both, the N is overall quicker (has been shown in other vids), it's basically on-par with the Golf R which blows the GTi away. Like idk why people don't get it - the N is literally on-par with the kings of hot hatches - they blow away MS3, WRX/WRX STi, Focus ST, Fiesta ST, GTi, etc and are similar/nearly equivalent to the Type-R (better overall car from the factory, even though Honda has slightly more power, but a tiny bit more weight), the Golf R - only thing it's better at from most tests I've seen is that it's AWD so it gets off the line quicker, and the Focus RS, but other than the Focus RS, the N was literally faster, more fuel efficient, safer, better warranty, and best price - which is why it was named Car & Driver and Road & Tracks sports/performance car of the year in 2018/2019 & 2020. Even beating out other cars which seemed they should've been deemed as such.
But the N is just in a class all its own. And truly a remarkable car and amazing piece of automotive history truly finally putting Hyundai on the map other than just WRC in the accent... In fact - SINCE the N was released and has been competing in professional sanctioned races (TCR) they have been unbeatable even with extra ballast added...
Actually the new GTI is only 0.4 seconds slower to 60, and likely faster with a tune, and has a much larger after market market, and probably a higher tuning potential. While at the same time ALSO offering more practically, higher quality materials, and more tech. Thing about the GTI is it's massively detuned from factory and thus has massive tuning potential. Veloster N is shipped already near its limit, so it has a lower tuning potential. They're both 2.0 turbos, so ultimately they're actually pretty similar.
Best decision Ive ever made. Its a hooligan. Great throttle response and rockets out of corners. The Limited Slip Differential keeps this thing so planted. The stock form is insanely fun. You can customize later to your liking. No regrets whatsoever.
Bought my veloster N just over a year ago.I can't stop smiling . If you're thinking about buying this car, do it!!!
I love my 2020 vn pp. Iâm fbo stage 2 and the car still brings nothing but smiles 8 months later
Love to see these cars gaining exposure, owning one has been such a blast. Iâm still shocked by how well it drives and how much attention I get đ
Just bought one last week, 2021 DCT in performance blue. Truly an amazing car
I waited 7 months for my dealer to get the Veloster N in the color I want with a manual trans. I absolutely love the car and would definitely buy it again
Hell yes! I went out and bought one of these new last year and it was probably the best decision I've ever made. I've only ever owned 1 car that was near this caliber, and that was one I had rebuilt the engine on and was afraid to let it loose all the time. With the N, I get to drive this thing with a goal of blowing up my engine before my warranty expires.
10 year, 100,000 mile warranty is just icing on the cake!!! Assuming you bought new
Hell yes! Thank you for doing my car!!
Bought mine in January and never looked back! Itâs a 2022 in manual and man is it fun to drive!
Proud Hyundai Tiburon owner very happy with this video. Keep em coming with the KDM!

The 2020 N is still one of my favorite cars Iâve ever driven!
Owning this car since June this year I have gotten nothing but compliments and dms on my social media. This car is just sooo FUN to drive while looking so attractive to everyone on the road.
more then you know I want this car. and for real you all post this on my Birthday. Thank you!!!!
I've liked these cars for a long time! I saw one years ago parked on a road and had no idea what it was but loved it!
I bought a 13 Turbo in December and loved it. Only to get rear ended in it 5 months later by a 20 year old who was on her phone and had 2 other people in the car. My GF was with me and she was 8 months pregnant at the time. Don't worry we're all fine, we're about to get some money in a week and I told her if I get enough back I'm going for the N. I'm already looking around for colors and pricing. I can't wait to get behind the wheel of this deal. đ„đ„đ„
Just food for thought.
Veloster N DCT 0-100 : 4.8 sec, on good condition..
Tons of video out there ..
Good stuff...
Just bought a 2019 with 30k miles and I love it
I bought my 2020 Veloster N in '19 and I have not looked back or even thought twice about it EVER. This is my first car I have ever done this with.
I will never buy another car without customizable suspension and active exhaust because of this car. These 2 things are pretty much the main reason I bought it over the Type R or a GTI.
I have a 2006 sonata with the v6, its also got a solid intake and exhaust setup but thats about it. Its one of the most fun cars ive ever owned. Its quick, sounds better than any other v6 ive heard (except gtr of course) super torquey 1st gear, takes corners like no other. Such a sleeper and a solid deal for under 5k. Been very reliable as well, put 25k miles on it, now at 145k and only thing needing fixing was the upper control arms.
Without a doubt the most fun hatch I've driven! I just got some Enkei's on my Veloster N
Out of curiosity, what other hatchbacks have you driven? I'm wondering how fun it is relative to other hatches
@@lnlyby_yt I'd argue its more fun than the type R.. but I did not say faster lol. But it's close enough for the price. Very fun car
@@lnlyby_yt I've driven a couple GTI's (both manual and DSG), Veloster Turbo R Spec, Focus ST, 2019 WRX, and a Civic SI (not sure if the last two count but they're around the same budget). The N just felt so connected and raw while driving and is so performance oriented. I'd absolutely recommend driving one
Absolutely love this car. I have test driven a 2020 performance pack and a 2021 DCT (the dealer told me that it was manual đ ) and I loved both very much. I am hoping to pick up a used one in a few years as my daily and would have already gotten one if I didn't already have a 2018 Camaro 2SS Hot Wheels Edition.
I once loved a Veloster. It was this time last year -- the end of 2020. I waited for her. She was a shiny new 2021 Veloster with a 6MT.
Unfortunately, my love was unrequited. After 4 months of waiting with spring turning into summer 2021 without even a sign that production started on a single manual transmission Veloster, I had to move on and settle for someone else. If chance will have it, maybe one day we'll meet up again and we can pick up where we left off.
LOVE my N! I wanted it when it came out and put it off⊠waited until the shortage so my only option (I got impatient) was a 2019 Performance Blue N 6MT. An absolute blast!!! (Just donât tell my Nissan customers I said that)
I have a 2019 premiere MY and love it. I bought it because I enjoy the experience of driving, and almost everything about the car is designed for the purpose of the driving experience. The current model year really takes things up a notch, and Hyundai developing a true in-house wet DCT indicates that they are pretty committed to the future of the N brand. The downside is that now more people know how good this car is. When I got my N, it was pretty much unknown (even to dealers), the Veloster was the last car anyone equated with performance, and you could get them for major discounts. I got a small fortune off mine. Now it's more widely known just how good this car is, there is greater mainstream interest in it, and it's more expensive.
Saw this car when visiting Indiana. To the kid who drove it hard, thank you cause now I want one
The vid we didn't see coming but needed
recently got a white 21 DCT veloster N, was looking forward to getting it since the N line was announced in 2018...so fun to drive and I'm one of maybe two or three people in the LA area who have it in white
i have a 2016 veloster turbo, i adore it. after learning about the N, i really wish i had held out to find one. Now here we are in 2024 and the veloster is discontinued and that makes me a real sad boy.
Recently bought one after owning Lexus all my life, and I must say, I love the Veloster n....
I love my 2020 N PP.
I don't know if I would spend 33.5k though for a 21'. I'm glad they offered it cheaper without all the driver assist nannies in the 19-20 years. All the type R around me were 40k+, so this slotted nicely between my previous elantra sport and a type R.
Watching these vids makes me feel glad that I have the VN DCT. Literally just checked Fitment industries out yesterday for my Konig rimsđ
Heck im not going to lie the N is very good I got mine last year and I just keep smiling every time I step on the gas itâs especially fun to drive around in the twisty back roads
