It's an honor to watch Jaques cook !!! He's wearing Gloria's apron 😟 his sign off was wonderful 😊😊😊
It's great to see him. He's looking much better! After Gloria passed, you could really see the toll her loss took on him. But I'm happy-and hoping-that he's working through his grief well.
Jacques is literally my favorite Chef, a wonderful teacher that provide peace to the chaos.
His way of cooking is surprising soothing, simple, and really gives you the confidence that everyone can cook delicious meals, and mistakes doesn't mean failure.
Truly amazing.
Aw he's wearing Gloria's apron. I love that.
I'm kind of blown away at how one potato just made enough food for 2 people.
Jaques pepin my Hero
This man is so important to the US. A true American icon.
From France
But an American itself
By following him I improve my skills in cooking
Yes.
The best
I'm so not gonna be OK for a meaningful amount of time when he passes. He's gotten me through countless hard times in my cooking career. I love that comment sections on virtually every Pepin video is nothing but love and thoughtfulness. That shit is near non-existent nowadays.
Pity he's French.
What a legend, and he's still kickin' it in the kitchen when he could have retired long ago...
What an honour and a privilege to see him cook today...
Continued love, hugs and prayers, Chef Pepin, from one of your millions of minions and your eternal sister in Christ somewhere near Seattle and around the World...
⚘ 🙏❤🙏 ⚘
He is the best. A little slice of peace and grace in my day. And a smile in my heart. God bless Jacques Pépin!
I love you Jaques, I know you probably don't read the comments but God bless you and continue to stay strong we should be jealous of Gloria because she is in paradise now far better than anything we can ever imagine. Thank you for the recipe, you bring joy to many people. ❤
I still get genuinely excited every time a new video comes out...and I’ve seen all of of them multiple times. My day just got a little better.
Lot more videos on Jaques Pepin Facebook Page
@@gruntod9171 And he posts videos on his instagram, but they're probably the same ones posted on facebook.
@@LinkRocks no . There full episodes of this series "cooking at home" with Jaques Pepin on facebook. Almost daily post. More then 100 episodes.
U dont need to make an account to watch them.
He is a joy to watch👍
Jacques Pepin, an International Treasure.
Props to Jacques for wearing the exact same shirt and vest pairing long after recording the intro.
I can't brag enough about how wonderful it is to watch jacques again. God bless u.
When you've reached perfection at cooking
I just made this and holy cow: I cannot remember ever having a more flavorful, yet still uncomplicated, potato pancake/hash brown. There is magic in this man's recipes.
Did not see the salad coming lol love ol Jacques
Love this man. I watched him and Julia for many years. Love his style and way of cooking
I never would have thought of pairing potato pancakes with a nice crisp salad.
Fantastique! by this wonderful man.
This wonderful man is fantastic! Such basic ingredients to make a very simple yet delicious dish. It's amazing that he can explain this in less than 5 mins. I'll make this with a fried egg and some cheese.
God bless you Jacques
A true treasure of great culinary art and the art of gracious living. And he uses the same cheap box grater that I use. Perfect. 😁
It's so great to see Jacques again. I've been watching his show with Julia Child from 1999 on Tubi Tv. One season only but they had great chemistry
Chef. I loved the live stream last week with Claudine. It’s fantastic to see you healthy and still amazing in the kitchen with the food and wine. Santé to you and your loved ones.
Thank you, Chris
I made these this morning. One large russet made five pancakes, they disappeared right away. Thank you Chef, just the right amount of savory.
Love the recipe! Jacques Pépin, you are a true inspiration
Such simplicity. He loves to teach and we are the lucky recipients. I wonder what kind of oil he used. Canola or vegetable maybe? Didn’t look like olive oil.
Our family loves potato pancakes. This is exactly the recipe I’ve been using for years. They are delicious in the Autumn with fresh made chunky cinnamon applesauce and pork chops.
His aged, twisted, inflamed and arthritis locked fingers are still way more precise, deft and graceful than my 35 year old hands that work like normal. Amazing.
Yes indeed!
60 years of experience at work
He undoubtedly does have arthritis, but the disfigurement you see in his left hand is actually the result of a car wreck he was in when he was 39 years old. He says that he was lucky to have survived it!
Yes, you can see it when he walks as well, but it didn't hurt his cooking abilities
We should all look as good still be cooking when we reach his age
I enjoy watching Jacques as much as I enjoyed watching Julia. Simple, easy, elegant food.
Yes
I’ve watched Jacques for many years in all of his programs, but I’m enjoying these videos with no one to spoil or interfere in his cooking skills.
Elegant and simple no fancy gimmicks
Introduction is so simple for Jacques, he loves potato pancakes
The Master makes it look effortless!
Beautiful food from a beautiful man!
Solid recipe. Thanks Jacques. I've been making Matzo Ball soup and this is a good accompaniment
I love you so much, thank you for many years of beautiful foods from your heart and soul!! 🙏🏽💓
Love to Jacques!👏🙏
Simple food and delicious.
God bless the internet
hello from france !! fantastic job😃😃
Love you JP
I will try it.
Good gravy does he make his recipes accessible for anyone to make.
He is a wonderful chef.
Lovely, cheap food is Best. ❤
I love these! The only thing i do differently is rinse the potato in a bowl of cold water to get the starch out, then squeeze dry. I like them with sour cream and lingonberry jam.
What I love most about his technique is that it is so easy. He never presumes to lord his ability over we mere cooks. It is so obvious that the teaching is important to him. Pedagogues are very comfortable in their skin.
I certainly will try it. I LOVE all this videos but I enjoy these the most. Finding what you have in the fridge and making a small meal for a couple of people. He is the best!
Glad you're enjoying these as much as we are!
Grandma and mom would make them served with sour cream or better yet apple sauce!! Didn't HAVE TO keep them warm because Dad,my brother and myself ate them as fast as they were done. Grandma would sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on them for "HER" boys. How she loved us so. Brings back very fond memories. Thank You Jaques!!!
well done Chef Pepin
1st try doing a patate this way et c’est parfait
merci mon ami 👏
Love this!
Have made these with his recipe dozens of times, occasionally adding some minced jalapeños, too. Always a hit. And even better looking in real life than in the video, if you can believe it. Golden brown, crunchy, delicious.
Yummmm, yes…..take 2!!!
I went to Wolfeboro NH where my summer place is and when I went into the bookstore looking for the Apprentice, the owner told me Claudine had been there several years ago. Time to ship your kid back up here to perhaps do a wine series.
So many love you Jacques! Thank you for continuing to share your magic with us.
I ADORE READING
Oh yeah, in germany we called this "Reibekuchen" or in Frankonia "Backers" and sometimes we eat this with applesauce or with Blood sausage!
I've been making home fries a lot recently, but I'll absolutely switch it up to try this out.
Good for you to make a comment about the food. All the other people feel it necessary to pay homage to him with every post. I get it, I love the man too, but I don’t have to slobber all over him in every video. I agree, these would be great as an option to other fries, say with @ burger or a steak rather than fries or a baked potato. Or with breakfast rather than hash browns.
Thanks for the demonstration 🌈
Lovely man, as well as a chef
Luv potatoe pancakes..i do the exact samething but i do add a 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika if im making it with bacon for breakfast...if its just to make as a "snack" to use up potatoes, i dont add sp. Snack wise i like to smear on a lil bit of blackberry or orange marmalade jams❤
Just made these, and the best, and easiest recipe i've found for "hashbrowns" Great with leftover ham.
Sir, you bring my heart joy, showing my child to cook with me. Much love Chef
It is your love for your family, Chef, that I see your love in your work. You loved them so much. No other an touch you.
Always terrific stuff..! 👍🏻
fantastic. I could eat about a dozen of those.
Looks like this will be dinner tonight! :) Merci
Latkes! My dad loved his thin and crispy. Rather than grate potatoes (and my knuckles; what’s a latke without knuckle blood?), I eventually started using “Hungry Jack Hash Browns” in the cartons (fridge section). I like the idea of adding scallions.
An oasis of peace.
VERY NICE to see you cooking again❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾☘☘☘
Yum!!! Thank you for the recipe and cooking lesson Jacques!
Yum!
Love.
Priceless... much love to the cook! ❤️🙏
Good morning Jacques
This is my favorite series, thank you sir.
Simple and delicious!!
Thank you for sharing!
Greetings from Edith, a happy Subcriber
I will try it!
Looks delicious!
Oh my goodness that golden brown color!
oh perfect, gonna try to make them chef thank you!
Jack is the BEST FOR SURE
Delicious and super easy
Beautiful
Tomorrow's breakfast potatoes. Yums! Can hardly wait. Thank you Jacques!
Hi Jacques! So great to see you and thanks for a great recipe! You’re the best. ❤️❤️
So good 😊
Gracias , se mira rico.
Thank you so much for the wonderful recipe. It is such a joy to watch you cook. I always feel at peace. You are AMAZING!
Very NICE. Will try this. Thank You.🇺🇸🇩🇰📬🐦🌸
Back at home 60 years ago we used to say that the blood from our knuckles when we used that grater enhanced the flavor of the pancakes!
Man that looks good
Great recipe, Chef Pepin! I think I will try it tomorrow, but for breakfast instead.
So simple and looks yummy, thanks and happy cooking to you too!
I make little bit different, but they taste the same, delicious 😋.
Latkes!
💙👏👏👏💙
I am on a very restricted diet and going to just use gluten and vegan ingredients! Thank you so much it is brilliant
Been cooking these all my life from my Polish Grandma's teachings. You can't have the pan too hot, because the raw potato has to cook all the way for these to be truly decadent. And just like anything, the second batch is always better than the first. Check for the right temp. on the first batch...get it dialed in.
Thanks for the extra tips!
