This is a fantastic set from Arrow which I got in their sale last year.
I still have the Tartan box set with the lenticular cover with the bonus movie called Sleeping Bride. Even though it’s directed by the same person who did Ring, it’s a bizarre inclusion as it’s not a horror movie at all, even though the font on the disc suggests otherwise.
lol interesting yes! I missed that collection also having gotten the singular releases from Tartan. Still, just happy to have the restored versions now :)
I rember seeing the 1st ring years ago and enjoying it,but have not seen any of the other films except the us remakes
They are great, and especially if you're a fan of J-horror :)
Ring 0 is amazing and very sad. If you can feel drama it may be the case you cry at the end of that one. Its sadakos origin story. Spiral is weird but in a good way. And ring 2 is similar to ring 1

Yes, the only difference is that this newer boxset does not come with the booklet. The discs are the same.

Great review. Going to try to get the set with the book. Seems like we have the same issue with our husbands not caring too much for horror films. I was the one who had to correct him when he thought you were saying “Idiot Films”. The first film didn’t really bother me as much as it seemed to do so with others but I’m willing to give it another go based on your review. It was per your recommendation that I got the JU-ON set. Love it and I love your channel.

No need to work on your enunciation. I understand you perfectly. He has a bit of hard time discerning foreign accents. I don’t have an issue since I grew up all over the place (UK included) while he grew up in Texas! There are times when he even gives me a “Wha-?” look when I speak.
Will this boxset play on Blu ray players in the United states?
I believe it’s region A which works in North American blu ray players.
This is a Region B release but Arrow often release in the States with Region A. Worth double checking :)
I though you would have already had the first Ring collection boxset with the booklet that came out before this one..
