Dave reviewing pizzas for a decade and my man comes in at the end and in 10 seconds gives a pro (more likely accurate) score of 8.3.
It is more accurate. I like dave but his scores are bias. If its not exactly the way he likes it he wont put it in the 8's
yeah absolutely, most pizza in NJ is easily a low to high 8, with each town having a 9+
there isn't a single slice in Massachusetts above an 8. Dave's scoring system is legit a joke, but he's definitely funny and entertaining to watch
I hope the owners takes that score and criticism and pushes past it to improve his pizza, the dedication is there

To be fair I think that’s about as high as it gets for a football Pizza for Dave, the most they could do is add like .1 or .2 to the score
Immediately giving an excuse of being in the box vs straight from the oven automatically deserves an eye roll. No one wants to hear excuses, just ask for a tip or suggestions and try to improve. If he truly based his pizza off of DP, he would have cranked that oven to blast and given it a little more char.
So stoked to see these Jersey episodes roll out. I grew up in Jersey and theres a bunch of hidden gems in terms of bar pie style. Jersey bests New Haven and NYC, but I’m bias being from Jers’.
It's a lot of BS. I like different places depending on what type of pie I am in the mood for. From NY. NJ, NY and CT all have the best tasting pizza overall. Anywhere else I go in the country outside of the tristate area is very meh.
I have my choice for a cheese pie. Have another for Sicilian pie. There are places that do a great white pie. There also places where their toppings really stand out. Basing everything on a plain cheese slice sucks. My favorite Sicilian slice is from a place that has the most mediocre regular slice.

I think thats fair, 7.8 from a Professional Pizza tester but for us normal people usually I just add +0.5 and its easily can be 8.3
so 8.2 from the app seems fitting
