Hi Brian, I have the Jackery 240 and it works great for me. I have no solar on my van and I did not but the solar panel for the Jackery. It charges just fine off my car when driving. It does allow me to run my 12v fan all night when needed.

I have the Hackery 240 and recently purchased their 60 watt panel. Pricey but I love them. Works perfectly for my needs. Good to see you!

Beautiful campsite. Only thing is the Jackery test with the coffee grinder and blender really needs to be done with stuff in them. Empty they only draw a fraction of the power they do when they're actually grinding stuff and consumption goes up as the motor gets warm. I'm sure the Jackery can run them filled, but for how long and how many times per charge is a different story.
Chrome of Vancity Vanlife uses his Ninja Bullet (I think it's a Bullet) with his Jackery 240 so I think it's safe to say the 500 will grind and blend.
I was also thinking it would be interesting to see them under load.

I bought a Jackery 240 from HOBOTECHS deal when he ran it. Couldn't be happier with my Jackery.
What do you use your 240 for? At the moment I think I would only need phone and tablet but having the potential for a fridge would be nice

Lake Tahoe National Forest is simply stunning! I traveled through there when leaving the Bay Area headed to Colorado in July. Although all of the US has beauty..there is just something about the West!!

The most amazing view I have yet to see on a VanDweller’s channel. The Jackery is one slick little outfit, but a bit overpriced. Many nomads are living in vehicles that cost less than the Jackery with solar panel...lol!

Nice Video, I also have a Jackery 500 and 240... I found that if you are in a Van.. The best way to charge is get a 100W 12V inverter and plug the charge brick into that then into the Jackery... I am still looking for a DC to DC buck converter that can do 100W into the Jackery... Then you would not need the brick or 12v inverter... The max input for the Jackery is 100W...

I recall you letting us know, in so many words, your going through some kind of transition with your video's and the constant responsibility putting them out. Take your time, do your thing. But, 3/4 of this was just a commercial. This was so impersonal, nothing about you, in the wonderful way I am used to you sharing. No thanks. I miss you just loving life and sharing your perspectives. I have the Jackery Explorer 240 and I love it! it's very lightweight and efficient. I like it much better than the competing popular company with the initials G.Z. I would LOVE to have Jackery's larger 500 power station and solar panel, but their price point is way out of line at this time. Even with the discount. Thanks for your honest opinion and safe travels Brian.

Hey Brian! Nice spot. I've seen a composting toilet like that 1 other national forest too. Better than digging in the rocks & not bad to use. We got a jackery in Feb this year for use with hubby's breathing machine. It allows us to camp off grid for a few days. Great stuff plus in an emergency in town it would be great too.

With a five year warranty it's still dramatically cheaper that a Dometic or Wynter fridge! Again, thank you so much!!!
