One book that I completely devoured while simultaneously trying to make it last forever was The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. I can’t say that I have ever wanted to really reread a book but this is definitely one that I will read again. ☺️ I have also bought quite a few books that you have recommended and can’t wait to dig in to those as well! 💃

    1. I am just like you. I need subgenres. Do not stress me put by asking my favorite of anything.
    2. My guilty pleasure would have to be The tigers curse series. It was my first ever fantasy series, and I always feel enjoyment looking back on reading it.
    3. The silent patient.
    4. The fault in our stars. But I did not enjoy it.
    Skipping 5&6
    7. The truth about forever
    8. The host
    Skipping 9.
10 I usually ask preferred genres before I answer.
    11. The house on the Cerulean Sea
    12. The inheritance games series for sure. All the riddles is just so fun!
    13. Not sure

#5. An author that deserves more hype is Tricia Levenseller. I had such an enjoyable time reading all her book last summer. They are some of my favorite books ever. I cannot recommend them enough.
I first read Daughter of the Pirate King & I LOVED it, so then I read the sequel, Daughter of the Siren Queen. Loved that, too!
Then I read Blade of Secrets, omg, it’s such a good book! So much fun! The sequel is Master of Iron. Both were absolutely fantastic.
Then I read Warrior of the Wild which I also loved a LOT.
The Shadows Between Us was good too, though all her other books are better, imo.
I’m jealous of anyone who gets to read these for the first time. I wish all the books I read were as good as these books!!! 💃🏻

I love all of your recommendations! I have a hard time figuring out all of my favorite books so well done! 👏🏻 I think it’s easier to name favorite authors. Some of my favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, Tolstoy, Mark Twain, V.E. Schwab, Shirley Jackson, Charlotte Brontë, Daphne du Maurier and Stephen King. I didn’t think I would like horror either but 11/22/63 by Stephen King was the gateway to loving it. If you want to start slowly with him read his short stories they are really good. A book that opened a whole new world to me is The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks. I had never read fantasy and my high school boyfriend read it and gave me his copy (this was in the mid-80s) and told me he thought I would like it. I was hesitant to read it but decided to give it a chance....and I could NOT PUT IT DOWN! It's so good! After that I started reading fantasy and love it! @caitlyn.m.t9618 Před rokem

There a few books that I see as guilty pleasures. One is the nature of witches, and the reason that I see this as a guilty pleasure because I don't think it is good. But something the way she wrote magic (those scenes has a very certain intensity to them), the love for nature that does pour through the book, and honestly a lot of other things, made it so enjoyable for me. I don't think it is especially well done and if anyone dislikes this book I get it, but I did deeply love it. The other one is a trilogy which is The Magicians. I recognise that my love and fondness for these books is incredibly subjective. And honestly I love these books so much but I cannot see them as good, and I cannot see them as bad, and I cannot see them as something in between. And if you hate them, I get it. But I love them. As for a book that I think deserves more hype I put in The Modern Faerie Tales by Holly Black. The Cruel Prince is popular and I do see why, but it is my least favourite of her fae works. And it is also frustrating for me because a lot of people seem to think that the cruel prince is where she began with her fae works which just isn't true. Especially considering how I prefer the characters and the setting and the writing and the stories and pretty much everything else that we see in The Modern Faerie Tales and The Darkest Part of the Forest and yet people almost ignore them in favour of another trilogy. Now this is just a case of taste, and where it differs from me to other people, but that doesn't make it less frustrating. So I would love for these to get a bit more hype and for people to discover them again because I adore what these books are.

I adored Evelyn Hugo, but I'm pretty sure I was unsure about it going in because historical fiction isn't my favourite. And a book that made me cry (bawl, actually) was Pack Up the Moon by Kristan Higgins. 💜

    💃
    1) The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab, One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle, ANY NOVEL EVER by Nicholas Sparks (HIS BOOKS ARE EVERYTHING!)
    2) DARK OLYMPUS SERIE BY KATEE ROBERT. TOPS FIFTY SHADES. BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER.
    3) Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I hated this book. It was too slow and I was extremely bored.
    4) When the Stars Go Dark by Paula McLain. LOVED this thriller. I could not put it down.
    5) A Woman of Substance by Barbara Taylor Bradford. This book is older like from the 70s if I recall but it is so inspiring and more people need to pick it up! Barbara Taylor Bradford is hands down one of my favorite authors.
    6) One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle
    7) The Cupid Chronicles by Coleen Murtagh Paratore. SUCH a sweet story! I have reread about 100 times!
    8) Gallant by V.E. Schwab. I do not usually pick up gothic novels BUT OMG DID I LOVE THIS BOOK!
    9) Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak I could not put down this paranormal thriller! 5/5 stars!
    10) Neon Gods by Katee Robert or a novel by Nicholas Sparks (romance), When the Stars go Dark by Paula McLain (thriller), The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue or The Children of the Lamp series (fantasy), One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle, Three Weeks in Paris by Barbara Taylor Bradford, The Magnolia Story by Joanna Gaines, Lunch in Paris by Elizabeth Bard
    11) Neon Gods by Katee Robert. HANDS DOWN!
    12) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
    13) A Little Hope by Ethan Joella
    14) The Wish by Nicholas Sparks
    15) Ruby Holler by Sharon Creech

If you’re interested in reading Stephen King, I highly recommend Christine! It’s easily one of my favorite books of all time. But I would also check out Pet Semetary and Bag of Bones, those are some of my favorites as well! Just be cautious, because his books can be very disturbing
    Edit: 💃
