I have stated on another YT channel that the age of 3.0 is over, and that 2020 is really pre-4.0... we are hearing the work of mature gentleman these days, no longer boys, and comfortable in their skin and with their legacies. Hopefully 4.0-proper (i.e., post-Covid Phish) will be in full swing before we know it, and we can all celebrate together!

@@AtmaRising Agreed. I'm mentally preparing for there to be no live Phish, or any live music in 2021 just like most of 2020. If it does happen, I will be overjoyed. But I am certainly preparing for the worst. Can't believe I took live music for granted. At this point, I would froth at the chance to see even a small local band play.

Hell yeah, Thank you Trey and Page for helping us out with this beautiful music. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we all love you and are incredibly thankful for what you guys do!
The last thing I would have expected this year was another album involving Trey... Somehow, the man has managed to keep me semi-sane throughout this disaster of a year.
There are few songs in that set that do NOT bring tears to my eyes. Joy and Miss You especially. They reach into my heart and pull the emotion out of me like few other things can.
Great soundtrack for Christmas at the Beach 🏖 wish you were here in S. Florida with us!! Thanks for the Joy! And Squirming Coil of course! Great mini set overall, would love to see this at different historical venues like The Beacon Jams ✌️✌️✌️
That whole instrumental passage in Coil is truly transcendent. I’ll never forget listening to it for the first time on my Bose headphones while I hiked in a snowstorm in eastern oregon. Magical doorways of possibility were opening everywhere in geometry of the falling snow crystals. It set my whole imagination a light and went very very well with the dose I’d eaten. I’d go so far as to call it a masterpiece.

God the most underrated part of this epic band is their vocal harmonies.
A lot of people hack on Phish's vocals, but I've always loved them. Not just the harmonies, but the attention placed on vocal arrangements- something like Limb By Limb for example with multiple vocal parts working together, or the end of Maze.
Amazing how I’ve heard over the years that they can’t sing. So wrong. How many bands a capella?

I love how there’s always layers to this band and not just musically, but also in the way they present or promote their art. So, as we know now, the picture of Trey and Page bringing out the keyboard on the Barn’s deck was a hint that something bigger was afoot for 2pm. The obvious connection to Colorado ‘88 was made but I don’t think anyone could’ve predicted this type of heartfelt release. By the way, I’m the weirdo who keeps chasing these guys to catch a “Brian and Robert”, “Lifeboy” or a “Mountains in the Mist”, all of which I’ve been fortunate to hear over the years. Of course, I love a blistering jam filled “Tweezer” or 4 song second set but this album is such a great treat and it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.

Just something cool that I didn’t notice at all tbh. I read it in the comments on Page’s Instagram earlier when they posted that pic along with the 2pm announcement. It’s almost exactly the same... I’ve listened to this a few times over already and it’s another great release IMO. Obviously I’m bias but the sound is superb and the general melancholic mood is so soothing..🍻

My last show was It in ‘03 but finally they are coming back to AZ and I can’t wait to bring my son with me to experience the unexplainable wonder and energy that they bring.
