Trying to learn how to adapt wide rear foams from pan cars.. not able to figure it out as they use 4 bolt, can not find an adaptor . Someone did it though. I saw pics.
definitely. dual motors won't actuall get you super fast. the pinions and lower kv will. keep that in mind. if you want to go 100mph you don't need 2 motors.
yeah. those set screws actually backed out twice. even with lock tight on 3s. on 2s no issues. i've since let red lock tight cure for 48 hours. lets see if these stay tight.
Hello, I am a newbie! I have a question. I see the dual motor version have several options for us to choose. The differences are the motor. I see that large motor with low KV will be more expensive. I know lower KV means slower, why slower more expensive? And could you teach me how to choose from these option, thanks 🙏🙏🙏
low kv means more torque. so what you can do is up the voltage of the batteries, to get the same speed with more torque. that allows you to gear the the drive train taller. in effect making the top speed much higher, while not melting your motor or your speed control. The dual motor version might not be enough of a performance upgrade for the price. the best i think is to get a lower kv motror and go 4s battery. and gear the hell out of it. that'll get you in the 100mph way before a double battery double motor heavy weight. For me the dual motor is just for show. we're no where near speed where it will benefit you for now.
a 4s capable motor is on top of the carbon version with the 4s ready speed control is all you'd need to probably go faster than the dual motor. weight is everything at that speed.
it's not 70mph. we got it going to 62mph. but it still had some in it. so it's very possible. also it comes with a smaller nylon spur gear, that would gear it higher. maybe even look into a roller for much cheaper, and put in a 4s capable system right from the get go. if speed runs are you goal.
the standard car transmission drive system out of the box can't handle 3S without breaking , which is garbage , so why waste good money on RLAARLO , unless you are going to use it on a non competitive indoor RC track on 2S power , and as long as you are not importing it into the UK with the additional added costs of customs and VAT fees . You are far better off spending your hard earned money on an 8 scale HoBao VT instead , which is a bigger better RC car than the small 10 scale china made RLAARLO . TOO MUCH HYPE , which still does not have enough of actual really high quality parts about it . The price will be going up , and that does not include the additional CUSTOMS AND VAT FEES into somewhere like the UK . So will be a total waste of good money on some china made not real high quality RC car .
we had a great time with it. was it 299us dollars worth of fun?.... yeah i'd say so. The sliding scale of what's worth money can dip from performance to scale looks you know. Out of the box this thing was a riot. We're about 4 packs in on 3s. For the price this is still the cheapest way in to high speed with a car that doesn't look like a damn spaceship.

yes we turned the shock collars to lower the ride height. Looks way better.
