Reynaldo Varella was an important player of the Portuguese guitarra a century ago. He published this Fado Menor in columns of numbers which few people could play in 1925. Ron Fernandez converted this fado into music notation and added a Spanish Guitar part. This revealed a charming instrumental fado which had been hidden for almost a century.

Thank you for the recognition. It took years to put all of the steps together. After finding reference to Varella in university libraries in the 1990s I had to acquire a copy from a Portuguese library. I had to figure out Varella’s algorithms and before all of this I had to learn classical guitar, Portuguese guitar, Guitar Pro, Final Cut Pro
