In fact the only dance in the white culture that might seem regal is either ballet or ball room. Otherwise most dancing anywhere are more artistic. And if it happens to look wild how is that bad too? Wildness in dancing can be a very good thing. To be wild requires passion and a story to be told. Many people actually prefer “wild” dancing to elegant dancing. It’s you who brings in your preconceived motions here about wild being bad and regal being good etc. The only reason the OP mentioned Kate making the dance looking regal is because she is in a regal position. Typically regal people do not dance in public. Dancing in front of people itself is not really a “regal” thing to do. I am sure even the Princess of the same cultural tribe would do this dance in a more regal or different fashion. I doubt they would move about in the same way as the tribal dancers. Being royal includes certain mannerisms have to be followed.

Just as she made mistake of local dress picking other country’s, they have no idea what is the move of their dance.
