- This video (one of many in a series) is primarily intended as a video 'How-To' for my customers to follow if servicing or replacing their own valve bodies.
I go through the valve body installation process step by step so that folks looking to remove and reinstall their valve body, aux valve body, separator plate and/or accumulators know how it's done. If you're attempting to diagnose a problem, install a shift kit or otherwise service the transmission while it remains in the vehicle (beyond just a filter/fluid change) this will be a good reference video for you.
No need for the Kent Moore dowels. Bolts from the bolt house and cut the heads off. Allows perfect alignment for the valve body also.
Yep, same with the pump (or use a long phillips head screwdriver to line up pump bolt hole locations while you drop it in). Use a couple extra long bolts for the 1-2 acc housing.
Great tip, thank you for watching!
Nick I'm rebuilding a 4L65e but the trans was in really bad shape, lots of trash, and burned clutches everywhere, bad bores in the valve body, I'm just going to replace the VB, can you suggest a good source for the VB. Thanks Brother love your show.
Hey Marty, Sonnax makes good ones with the oversized AFL valve kits and TCC regulator/isolators installed. VBX and a few others are also available (will reply back if i come across the suppliers' links).
@@nickstransmissions Thanks Brother.
