Nah, the biodegradable wiring harnesses is the problem on all Mercedes at that time from around 1991-1996

Do you have a part number for the purge valve I can only find the one for a 190e not a 1993 300e 2.8

That’s not throttle issue , Check MAF sensor and IAT sensor .
