- Business casual as always giving me pause. I'm at a loss for what it means. Maybe because I don't work in an office? Maybe because the parameters are too broad? I seem to do OK with some sort of set or suit but I always feel the need to throw in a splash of me… Hence the gold thigh high boots 😬

Sending this to my bestie who was texting me last night about her wardrobe trying to figure out what in tarnation “business casual” meant for work. 😂
Yall be careful when a place mentions business casual. If it's the medical field or the like, business casual means no jeans. But if you work for like a tech company, then yes jeans are considered business casual. It's really frustrating because it really depends on the workplace environment. So when you're told business casual, just verify what they mean.
Yeaaa... Usually jeans are smart casual... Imo when u hear business casual always go for slacks and a button up
I had to go to a work event where they said "smart casual, ok to wear jeans". I wore jeans. Others wore full suits🤦🏼 I felt so underdressed.

Right in most legal spaces business casual means you don’t have to wear a suit but you shouldn’t wear jeans. Normally khakis are ok if dressed up but slacks and a blouse or something like the lady in the video is wearing is safest
Your so right, because business casual could mean so many things yet it all depends on the environment your in everyday. Jeans maybe worn only if you wear a blazer or No Jeans at all, khaki's no sneakers.. so many variables but the atmosphere really decides what business casual may mean for that company/business. Your the 1st person who said this perfectly. I wear scrubs myself now so I'm so glad I am out of this category because when I worked in corporate America I had a wardrobe for any type of event, occasion, or everyday work life and it was so tiring, so draining at times.

I generally like for business casual to go with a tuck in shirt and accessories. I find that even the simplest clothes in general seems business casual like that 😆

Working at a thrift store, I love seeing these things get styled effectively. It's amazing, and makes me realize how actual fashion knowledge works and how things can really be combined together in an outfit. I'm a dude but I've levelled up my style greatly thanks to these!

Oh, how odd! It’s a restaurant, not an office. But I guess if the just said “casual attire” they’d get shorts and flip flops. Have fun going out to dinner!
@@annt7384 In my area we also have a restaurant that specifies their dress code as business casual. I find it kind of annoying because that term is so open to interpretation, and also feels a bit like it's another way that we Americans are held hostage ro corporate America. Just a little rant there. So I checked out their website, and they spelled out exactly what they meant..no tank tops, nothing sleeveless for men, no jeans, no athletic shoes, no sandals or flip-flops, men's hats/caps must be removed, no t-shirts, no oversized pants... Now, this is very strict, because some places would allow clean and neat jeans and athletic shoes as their business casual. So, go figure!
