    • @alexwood3459
      @alexwood3459 Před 2 lety +2

      @@sgt_timtam8658 I agree. I will say I find it really sad that there isn't more of a sport climbing culture in the UK- moving here from Australia with 3 sport crags within a 10k radius (and that being the norm- maybe a 20k radius for most of the population centres of Aus) made it so easy to go outdoor, just buy a rope and some draws. I haven't been outdoor in forever here and I'm devastated about it- you always need to know someone and go way out of your way, it's at least a whole day trip rather than something I can do after work so even if I had any connected person around I wouldn't have the time. There's so much good rock but such a purest anti-sport mentality means I'll probably never climb outdoor in the UK. Moving to Europe soon and hoping it's a bit better. Hopefully one day I won't be moving somewhere cause that's the only job I can get and will just be able to pick a place I want to live (near climbing) and get a job there. I just miss living in a major city and having outdoor climbing everywhere.
