If we're following the same trend I guess that makes me like.. a semi-frequent hiker? A newborn infant? somewhere between baby and dog-walker I suppose.

In the intro I thought it looked familiar and I was impressed by the consistency of route setters making the comp ones identical across different centres. Then I heard its the hangar in Sheffield and it looks familiar bc I was there yesterday.

The hardest ive done is a harder side of v1 (5+) My hardest flash was today and it was a 5, v1). I really look forward to progressing in this sport and one day completing the hardest routes in my gym. (V8, 7B). I go to the boardroom in sandycroft, wales for anyone nearby or has heard of it or been. I think its quite famous because of the psicobloc

Way softer, right? The dyno didn't look nearly as far.
These weren’t the Olympic climbs. the wall is a replica. Not the boulders.

I think it would be interesting not only comparing both climbers together, instead, one by one to see how they can solve same problem, a way so see how they think separately because here one can influence in other. Anyway, was a cool video to watch.

There's a V4 at my gym where the middle part is set up almost like at @24:19 except that there are two more holds but they are 1/10 the size and crimpy.

I do admit that height is often very convenient but I wanna add that taller people also usually weigh more than shorter people. And weight is a pretty significant disadvantage.
That’s true, I think you can be stronger if you’re a bit shorter too. Shorter leavers to pull with and often less injuries
sometimes when watching videos like these I think "that doesn't look too bad I could do that" and then I remember I struggle with 4 bar routes

8b is V13 I think but I had done 8b sport so I think that’s 5.13d

I don’t think so, there are training boards that change angle but that’s for something different. Maybe in the parkour world?

It's a shame that it's not a video about a 9a climber vs a really normal climber. I was really looking forward to seeing the difference in movement / technique between an expert but not Olympic climber and a strong but still regular climber, like in the 7 range. Bit of a misleading title!

Did go climbing with a power lifter not to long ago. Think he was 95kg at the time... He wasn't very good, his weight was a massive disadvantage
Oh nice that’s cool! I would like to film some videos with power lifter or body builders I think it would be fun! Yea I think when your a power lifter you use such different muscles and in such a different way it could be hard to climb. I would be completely useless at power lifting too though haha
I'm pretty strong, bench pressing my best friends total weight. She is the one I climb with and she's.. well. Not as strong. I'm a bit overweight (also female) and she's skinny, and she's MUCH better than me at climbing, despite me being much stronger. Weight is definitely a disadvantage.
I love how climbing still is fun, regardless of being overweight. I just have to be more cautious of injuries from the heavy toll on the body 😊
Normal climber: "I'm a normal climber"
