    Killer demo dude. You are the first person I’ve seen demo this pedal that’s not through an extremely cracked and thick SRV sounding amp. Your demo feels more real to what the pedal would sound like through a normal amp like a deluxe or even my Deville. What amp are you using ?

    • @AshMaksymMusic

      Thanks man, yeah ive seen a load of demos but they all do the same thing (i LOVE the SRV sound!!!) but it doesn't really show what else the pedal can do - which is a lot :) The amp is a Suhr Badger 36 watt head - essentially a plexi head on a clean setting

    As good a demo as I've seen, very well played and designed, the pacing and editing was exceptional. Just enough voice-over too - well done. Maybe less neck pickup to show more of the pedal's versatility going forward.

    Excellent demo! Just got a old school HW-top mounted Duelist and it’s another level!! Is this one of your main drives? What else are you using?

      Hey…. Thank you for the kind words! They’re absolutely killer aren’t they, a wonderful pedal. I still use it a lot, I think I flit between the duellist, the ryra Klone, the nobels odr and then I tend to stack with a fuzz face for a volume boost

      @@AshMaksymMusic Very cool! My pal who I bought pedal from, he still has two lol, said a old school OCD( which I own) and a J Rockets JMOD for boost( ditto) May add Fulltone CS Ranger-Queen Bee and 87 Rat so I can use with 78 JMP-79 DR and 93 AC-30 as I like! Cheers!!✌️❤️

    Killer demo! Can you see this pedal getting along with a deluxe reverb reissue set clean, and taking it into the pushed clean or Hendrix type clean territory?

    • @AshMaksymMusic
      @AshMaksymMusic  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey, it'll definitely get a long with a deluxe reverb. I think thats what the pedal is best suited too if memory serves me right (from what ive read). In terms of Hendrix type tones, you'd probably be better with a fuzz face and back the guitar volume off, that'd be a more authentic kinda Hendrix route, but the pedal will certainly get you in the ballpark. What it has over a fuzz face (depending on which one) is the plethora of EQ settings, so once you're in the ballpark, fine tuning isn't an issue at all. Not sure if thats answered your question or not?

    • @xderiwx
      @xderiwx Před 3 lety

      @@AshMaksymMusic Thanks for the response! Yes, I do have a fuzz to use for that, but it sounds way better running into something that’s already starting to breakup or in light breakup compared to straight clean, which is what I was hoping the Duellist could do for the deluxe reverb. :) It sounds like it should do the trick!

    • @AshMaksymMusic
      @AshMaksymMusic  Před 3 lety +1

      @@xderiwx ah yeah I get you now, I normally run a pedal before a fuzz. Some of the best fuzz sounds I've had is with the duellist before a fuzz and another good tone I had was a RYRA Klone ( klon clone) before the fuzz. Both thick heavy fuzz tones but still with character and definition

    Hi , Can you share setting about this amp and pedal srv style to me?
    This sound is lover♥️

    • @AshMaksymMusic
      @AshMaksymMusic  Před 11 měsíci

      Hi, the amp was set just before breakup, and then i used the pedal to push it a little more, add some sustain with the gain and then in terms of tone there are a few settings which can be used depending on amp, but it'll all get you in the SRV tone area. Hope that helps?

  • @gregpetre1225
    @gregpetre1225 Před 3 lety

    Can I presume that the reverb is coming from the amp and not the pedal?

    • @AshMaksymMusic
      @AshMaksymMusic  Před 3 lety

      Hi Greg, yeah that's correct. The reverb is from amp, it's only overdrive from the pedal

  • @fedboy21

    Did u compare this pedal to the original pedal?? If yes how the different from them, on the stock mode of course...cos i got the original ts and BB, but kind a interested in this pedal bcos of the 2in 1 built config, itsafe more spaces on the pedalboard

    • @AshMaksymMusic
      @AshMaksymMusic  Před 4 lety

      Hey, I don't have a bluesbreaker but I do have an old TS. Side by side on stock mode, id say they're similar but there's more depth and responsiveness with the tone and drive settings on Duellist but I'm sure all tube screamers sound slightly different though.
      Theres certainly more flexibility with the different modes but even on stock, you can do more with the duellists gain and tone. Theres a lot of tones within each of the modes.
      Hope that helps 😁

      You should have asked about how the Vertex String Singer compares to the String Singer side. That is what it is supposed to clone.

    • @AshMaksymMusic
      @AshMaksymMusic  Před 4 lety

      @@michaelcraig9449 I've played the vertex a few times in a music shop and the two pedals do seem to differ a lot (steel stringer Vs string singer). Theres more gain on with the string singer and more versatility with it having the glass/fat/stock switch and the second side. It has a sound of its own, it colours the guitar signal quite noticeabley, the vertex was a little more subtle, almost like a boost pedal. I haven't run them next to each other to see if you can get the same/similar sounds, but they do seem a little different when plugged in. Hope that helps 😁

    Are you using the Yamaha THR amp for this demo?

    • @AshMaksymMusic
      @AshMaksymMusic  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Brian, the signal path was start into the duellist, into a Suhr Badger 36 watt head & 1x12 cab, mic'd with a sennheiser E906 :) I do use the THR on occasion but thought it be a little better to use an amp to show how it reacts to valves. Hope that helps!
