I see that this post is 2 years old, but I wanted to say Thank you for sharing. I have a friend who mentioned that she wanted to find a journal to write in and now I had an idea for making her one. Thank you.
Love your ideas on using every little bit of scrap stuff to create a functional pocket or tuck spot for a journal. Appreciate you taking the time to share your ideas with us.
Thank you for being so generous with your talent. I’m 92 years old and just starting to junk journal. I am fascinated by the beauty and talent involved in their composition. Could you please tell me the shoe polish you use. Since I am on a very limited budget, it sound like a great solution for distressing. Thank you again
Love your small journal and the fact that you make them and put them in a basket for people. That in itself is lovely. You have inspired me to make some for my work mates.
I love your work and you have been a great inspiration for me! I have always been a little timid about trying my hand at journals and you have convinced me to try one. I hope you don't mind if I use some of your ideas. I remember your story about being up at night with your mother and I too have a disability that seems better if I am awake at night. Sewing and paper crafting is the most soothing therapy for night time creativity while the rest of the world is asleep. I consider your videos a blessing. Thank You :)
I love your book pages that you leave places. Do you realize how wonderful that is. Something for free I. A cold world. You are blessed to be a blessing.
I absolutely ADORE all of these! What fantastic ideas for using scraps and extras!!! They are all so beautiful. Thank you so much for the fabulous ideas 😊 You are so talented!!!!
Very glad you were able to find time to make videos and thinking about you. And I love the little booklets with shoe polish and index cards, great idea and so sweet of you to share with the clients. And love those layered flowers. And of course the napkins and parchment on the sheets! So many great ideas!
How very sweet of you to make up those booklets and leave them in offices for people to take! I can only imagine how many people use made smile! Also little shoe polish idea was really good I look forward to trying that! Everything you make is really pretty! Thank you
Your work is lovely and so creative!!! I love the way you don't waste scraps! I recycle a lot and now have new ideas for using the little pieces up. I took care of my mom for 4 years. I understand. Love and Light Vivian
Wow! I am so glad I found your channel. I just love all your wonderful creative ideas! My daughter is getting married next year & I want to make a journal for her to fill with whatever she wants. I had no real vision of what it would look like until I started watching your videos. Now my mind is full of so many different things all inspired by you. And shoe polish! That looks perfect for aged pages. I cannot thank you enough for sharing these great tips & unique methods!☺️
I never knew I could use shoe polish. I can't wait to try that now. My main goal for paper crafting was tags to go onto my homemade soaps, now I'm in deep and doing journals and soap. Not enough time in the day. Thanks for all of your great ideas. You are so talented
Irina such great ideas you come up with for using so many diferent materials we may overlook or discard! Thanks for sharing your insight and creativity with us here.
You are so full of wonderful & imaginative ideas that always inspire me. The projects in this video are beautiful & I can see them in a journal I plan to make for my daughter. I'm so glad you are generous in showing your techniques. Thanks so much for sharing☺️

This is great! Thank you so much for sharing! You have inspired me...I know just the place where I can leave a little basket of blessings. I don't think I will be able to be as productive as you have been, but it is great to be able to use waste, enjoy crafting and bless others all at the same time. 😀
Irina, that’s so lovely I really love 💖 all the things you’ve done. I especially love 💖 the last ones with the little girls and the ladies on, super cute. Thank you so much xxx Mags
I Love watching all your video's. I'm new to this book making and you have already taught me a lot, plus have given me some great ideas. I have been buying and collecting all sorts of supplies, both new and old from my local antique and second hand shop's. I just have to take the plunge and make something, I'm not feeling confident enough so I just keep watching all my favorite CZcams videos(including yours) hoping one day soon I'll start using all the awesome papers and old books and card's I've been collecting. Thank you so much for all your inspirational video's. I Love how talented you are.😃📓📖📚
Irene, thank you for sharing this. I started altering books since you have been illustrating them. I love the process and the finished products. I am so glad for the ideas you have shown of what to do with the pages. Tink
Shoe polish! What a great idea! I am a sucker for the big world atlas books and old dictionaries. My library sells old books for ten cents each. So far I have accumulated a dozen world atlas books. I just love maps.
I absolutely LOVE these ideas. Plus, I "shred" offensive pages into narrow strips with decorative cut scissors. Makes great shred for balloons, vases, gifts, etc. To do that, I go from top of the page to the bottom, makes the offensive words difficult to read, if not impossible. Voila'
Thank you so much for shRing I'm just getting supplies ready from thrift stores so I can start making or trying journals. You've been such a great inspiration...❤️
Thank you for sharing. Really cute journals and great ideas for using the book pages. You gave me many more ideas than I had for using up those pages. Thank you. I also hit the like and subscribe button! 💕
Such a good point. I made a tag recently with a piece of old, book page. Once finished, the word 'ill' was right in the middle of the tag. It's a gift tag & the person hasn't been well. Nothing another tiny flower couldn't fix, though. thank you for all of these tips for using up book pages.
These are great! I love your ideas! these all look amazing! I never really thought of doing a bunch all at once to have on hand, but that would probably be the best way to make these. Thanks for sharing!
You always have such wonderful ideas. LOVE the little journals with index card. What a blessing for those who get them from your doctors office. I'm sure you've made someone's day. Love the layered tucks and muslin and book paper envelopes. TFS
O my goodness Irina...U never cease to amaze me with your awesome creativity!! You remind me so much of my sister with your kind giving heart. ( I loved how you told of leaving these for people at your doctors office) Plus i'v watched so many videos of people you have sent things to. The way you speak of your lovely Mom and the care you give her. You have a truely creative and loving hand. Hugs, Connie~
Oh what a great idea to leave these in the Dr. office! I have been thinking of what to do with my journals, I don't like making things just for the sake of making them; they have to have a purpose and I know I won't use all the journals I am preparing. So, someone gave me a great idea to give them to people who are going through chemotherapy....kidney dialysis etc.. They sit for along time and, of course, have many thoughts going through their heads. Also, I love animals so will donate them so the shelters can sell them and the money can go to the dogs/cats care. I'd love it if people have other ideas to share!
So gorgeous those tags, pockets, envelopjes....there is even one with my CZcams picture on it! Thanks for all your inspiration...i just bought Some old books and try to start an altered book. Love all the rips you have and your voice is so calm and pretty to listen ! Greetings from the Netherlands Maia
I've made quite a few little booklets with scrap paper, but I love how you do yours with the index cards! I'll have to borrow that idea, Irene, if I may. Love them! What a sweet idea to leave them as free gifts for patients. I have to experiment with different stitches on my machine...I seem to always use the same one. I love the fun ones you used. The images of the little girls on your tuck spots are so adorable! Debbie :)
What wonderful ideas! Thank you for sharing!
