As a native StLouis resident in case your confused StLouis is an independent city it is its own entity it is not in a county its just a city. St.Louis county is a completely different entity that has several diferent towns for example they brought up Ferguson which is its own city within St.louis county and thats only one of many many different municipalities. And as far as hoods go in the county a majority of North County is a dangerous place. Places like Ferguson, Jennings,Bellefontaine and many more townships within the county are as dangerous as the city. Also south side can be dangerous you can be on a nice well kept street and go 1 or 2 blocks over and be in the straight trenches but a majority of south side is a nice place you just have to know how to maneuver. Now North city is where its straight hood on every street as soon as you cross ove Delmar Street it pretty much resembles Detroit high crime rate and a lot of abandoned buildings. North side is not the place you want to be. And as far as east St.Louis like they said its across the bridge in Illinois but east side is just like the north super dangerous and run down.
