Saying “Adieu” to 2018 with a brand new Cowboy Bebop cover, featuring insaneintherain! I’m so thrilled to finally revisit my favorite song from my favorite anime, with one of my favorite collaborators! This was one of the first songs I ever covered on my channel, and it’s absolutely wild to hear the difference between this creation and the first version I posted seven years ago. Thank you so much to Carlos for joining me with a fantastic jazz ballad arrangement on this one, and to you guys for listening and sticking with me as I’ve grown and improved throughout the years! I hope that you enjoy this special upload, and that rest of your 2018 is wonderful. ♥

Never understood it while watching as a kid, but as an adult.....damn....they really hit a lot of painful truths in your face. Don't think there can ever be another show like it nor do I think I'd want there to be, it deserves it own special place and distinction.

It's amazing. The song with a ton of story to it. Ok. I want to bring up something honest.
I remember playing this in our community college dorm all the time between my roommate and me. I loved your cover so much. In fact, I remember wanting to sing this myself in my voice class between the choir classes. Of course, I'm a dude with a 'deep' voice which my vocal/choir teacher took as a sign that I couldn't sing it. Even though, I really wanted to and practiced for a long time cause you have to present a rough rendition before practicing and finalizing. (Although he didn't allow any of the students to sing 'anime', 'television', 'video game', and personally the one that hurt the most 'cartoon' covers of songs. Oh well, can't change everybody to the happy mood. But, at least he taught most of them well. Except for me.) It most likely was because I'm a horrible singer and musically disfuntional.
I took the class as the first non major in decades(cause I had no background and it took me years of work from highschool just to get money to go to community college). When I first got to community college, all I really wanted to do was sing, act, do art, entertain, and have fun. But, I kinda became the class clown as usual before everybody started to realize I knew nothing about music. Then they ignore me.(Used to happen in every school I went to. First funny. Then weird. Then walk away.)
But, I remember this girl with a lovely voice sang the song outside in the hall, and it sounded just as beautiful as your cover. It shocked me at first, and her and her group of friends said they were surprised that I would pick a song another girl sang. I then told them the truth that I just truly love your cover and how beautiful your tone is. Because of your covers and many other musicians, my first week of the last quarter of community college, was spent with people who actually enjoyed music as much as I did.
Even though, I honestly believe my time with the teacher for two years were essentially wasted. I'm glad I learned at the end of the year that one person's critic should never make what brings me joy go away. He didn't let me sing in front of the classroom after my first rough presentation. However, because of the nice group at the last quarter of the year, instead of singing in front of the teacher being yelled at how bad I sound, I sang in front of a bar her parents owned with all her close friends there(I don't drink and I'm not that 'manly'. Made me feel weird, but happy.)
It's good memories of this song. I'm so happy your redid a cover of it. I'm so thankful for singers and musicians like you and all others who honestly make a huge difference in our days. I'm just so surprised that you brought it back again though. It feels weird knowing that I went through a strange point in my life with your cover of a song from an anime that I love. Thank you so So much for redoing your cover. Please from one aspiring singer/musician to another, never lose hope:)

Heh, I don’t know why but this song really reminds me of my grandad who passed away a few months back. He was a famous musician and specialised in jazz. I find this song perfectly described how I feel about him and the fact that it’s a jazz cover makes it better. If only it was on Spotify 😭😭😭

I'm so emotional about this. wow! your original cover of adieu is (very likely) one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard (along with diamonds), definitely on par with the original, and this is an amazingly unexpected treat! Adieu has followed me through so much of my life as one of my favorite songs, and I can't listen to the original without thinking about your version too. I teared up when I saw this: the difference is striking in the most beautiful way.
Here I stand, lost in a memory-and I'm beyond excited for this to carry me into the future. It's comforting that a song about saying goodbye can be so beautiful, it makes the eventuality of doing so a little less scary. Thank you. Goodbye, so long, adieu. Until next time. ❤︎

I just finished Cowboy Bebop tonight, and I have to say that it's climbed my list of anime favorites quickly. It's such a beautiful, and intricate anime. After a short period of processing the ending, I clicked over to this video and I'm glad I did. It just made all the pieces of the anime fall into place for me. This cover is absolutely amazing!
