Featuring Ptahhotep, Jane Austen and Oscar Wilde, this History Bomb charts the rise of manners to the height of the Victorian era, before the general relaxation of etiquette up to the modern informality (and casual blasphemy!) of the text message.
We must say a very big thank you to the staff at the Geffrye Museum for being so accommodating and patient!

This is a great clip for teaching people etiquette in an entertaining way. The lady with a Suffolk accent was the best in the whole clip. She played her character very smartly and professionally. But at the end of the day, this is AMAZING and irresistible to watch time and time again. All the best guys
3:50 The dialogues in 1910 broke my heart in so many pieces. I so wish the world could've been frozen in the Edwardian era forever.
I just noticed they aren’t wearing shoes lol
@@rmsteutonic3686 thats my etiquette in my country here, whenever entering a house you must take off the shoes
bro you do NOT want that
-no modern medicine
-barely any workers right
-rampant sexism
-monarchies
-imperialism
-colonialism
For me, my country has one unofficial law.
JANGAN PAKE SEPATU DI RUMAH!!!
(Don't wear shoes inside the house)

I miss table etiquette by Immanuel Kant, was veeeeeeeery influential in the whole west!
" we have no interest in your intellectual mind"
That would hit me hard if someone said it to me
This is wonderful. Enjoyed every minute of it. A plug for the Geffrye Museum as well, one of the best museums in London. Visit it when you're there.
you deserve a lot more views, can't believe people are missing out on this.what are they watching all day? just pewdiepie and cats?
How long is this door hallway is soo long it never stops
beautiful :)
Do... the... American.... Revolution
U want brits to reenact the american revolution... Brutal.
thing is we probably would do it and wouldn't even bitch about it afterwards (unlike the Americans in the History of Football video...)
History doesn't scare Brits because we've been a pretty successful country.
You just need to watch some of our comedies about our own history to understand that, we do self depreciation better than most.
that would be great.
or something how America always beats the British
Spicy Leprechaun - And we saved you in the world wars, so your point is,
Spicy Leprechaun Stuff If we didn't get involved all of Europe would have fallen to the Nazis. Jews, Blacks, Slavs and other minority's would have been exterminated in Europe. China would have fallen to the Japanese witch would make it harder to fight them. Our involvement kept the Nazis from getting atomic weapons.
2:40 The 1830 sign falls over and the guy protecting his sister glances over and is like “okay cool”
3:15 LOOK AT THE FLICK OF THAT WRIST
4:23 Fail, TWO decades

1:59 Why aren't the actors holding the "next scene" signs wearing any shoes?
subscribed!
This was filmed in a museum in London, England. I recognise it.
This series is awesome, but the aviation and ww1 were best, had the best beat and lyrics
Love it .....GO ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!
Umm where did you get those hallways?
The intro of "Manners Maketh Man" was a reference of Kingsman because gentleman principle lines.
How many takes did this take?
good
I just had flashbacks from when we had to learn this in school
2:40 He knocked over the sign lol.
2:39 Man #1: Good Lord man, what's come over you?!
2:41 Man #2: Is it not clear? This is the 'drawing room'
2:43 Man #1: Meaning it's where we withdraw after dinner, Not a room dedicated to sketching my sister!

At 2:52 didn't Victoria become Queen in 1837 not 1836?
I love tea
Turns out none of the actors are wearing shoes. I didn't notice for a while.
The Sentient Potato it's because they were in a museum and the curators probably didn't want their floor ruined
Either that or they just couldn't change shoes with the costumes between parta
Yeah
It's GREAT Etiquette to not use ur cell when out with others. :D

Omg its Mombo yeeeeee
This has a weird sense of nostalgia
Can you make a video of history of tanks please
0:16 that's ed sheeran!!
Remember the time when people respected each other and followed etiquette, now people are offended by it
2:41 LOOK
would they do a second take if they're were a tornado or a gun man in the building?
Cracno112 it's in ONE take, not the First take.
Prakhar Tiwari yes but what they won't make a second one or cut so if they're is a gun man in the building they just continue as they were and ignore the gun man while they're being shot at
No.. they would run and try an film it later when it is safe or scrap the idea.
