Murad is correct. Kosem is completely responsible for Kasim’s death. First she murdered Farya & Silahatar. Then without Farya to protect them, his baby princes were murdered leaving him without any heirs. Then Kosem took steps to dethrone him. Just like Ayse, she couldn’t handle the consequences of her own crimes. I can’t believe Murad was this lenient with the punishment. He should at least have sent her to Maiden Tower for a few years. Then she would have even more in common with her mentor, Sultana Safiye. It’s also curious that Kosem forgave Osman for executing Mehmed but she clearly won’t forgive Murad for Kasim. And she can’t bear the thought of losing her loved ones, Ibrahim & Kermankes. But she had no hesitation in depriving Murad & Atike of their loved ones.
