In this video, I would like to talk about articulation. Why is it important?
When our articulation is not active, our speech intelligibility suffers. Poor articulation gives us a signal - “I find this communication uncomfortable. I’m ashamed of myself, I feel like hiding.” Along with this wish, our articulation wants to hide, too. What can we do?

I noticed I had been slurring my words and struggling with speaking clearly as of late, noticed an almost immediate improvement. I will be doing this every morning!

@@juru6887 I'm not sure, maybe just talking to fewer people? I used to do a lot of public speaking - university lecturer, TA, conference presentations etc. Now I'm working in the industry and aside from a handful of meetings with normal chit chat here and there I don't talk as much. I've always been a faster talker too which naturally makes it more likely for me to slur my words or get them jumbled.

I learned two things from. 1st is that it worked!! 2nd is that I need braces. I had trouble holding the pen straight with my front teeth 😂

sometimes when i speak i camt speak the words completely. sometimes fumbling is also there seems like child is speaking
@@harshitagrwal9975 Try to talk to yourself like your plans wishes thoughts etc. Like you are talking to yourself but it's important to be consistent

I learned that people with an overbite need this. When you have an overbite you don’t open your mouth enough and you also speak quicker. This really helps to slow it down and make the words come out clearer.

It definitely works but you have to keep at it for months. That's the only way you'll become a better speaker and better at pronunciation.

Idk if it helped my speaking voice. But it definitely helped my singing voice. It'll be safe to say that this is very useful!

At first I was confused because when she did it I didn’t think she sounded that clear at all, then I tried and realized just how good at it she is
This technique is used for speakers with speech deficiencies. They forced marbles into my mouth as a kid for a similar effect.
Or to kill you? Pencil between teeth and a mouthful of marbles are very different things. Lol.
My mom used to make me do this and I can say it did indeed teach me to improve on my speaking

Whenever i want speak, first i used to repeat it inside my head, so that i can speak clearly... But whenever one in one convo sometimes i sluttet or speak really fast that the person couldnt understand it, now ill try this... 😊
You can also use a stick instead of a pen, and ask your buddy to whip your back until you have flawless pronunciation.

Or even better use straw from the drink bottle. Mine it is not very hard/thick or very soft, so it feels very comfortable and easy to grip on my front teeth and will not fall at all! You're welcome, guys!😉✌🏽

I think it engages the muscles surrounding the mouth more which im guessing encourages clearer pronounciation. I can feel it in them when I do this exercise

@@Vocal_Image Fair enough, maybe she’s not an English teacher. But I’d think that someone who was an expert in articulation would be able to articulate basic words correctly in the language that she chooses to tout her expert skills in.
@@vaporz109 she works on it very hard. She is one of the best world-class voice coaches, so you can forgive some slight mispronunciations. You can find a perfect American pronunciation coach on our channel in one or two months. So stay tuned, and leave feedback about his =))
It is also an accent. Go get any English teacher from around the world with an accent and they will not be able to hold a fluid conversation while actively focusing on proper pronunciation, just because of their accent.
